I had the chicken sandwich. It had great flavor and was nice and moist. I am looking forward to trying their burgers on my next visit. They said that they are their #1 seller.

Been here three times now and no matter what I order it’s always fantastic. I like that they use a real cheddar sauce instead of that yellow stuff usually served when you ask for a cup of cheese. Got to try the mac and cheese next time! Bob really makes every customer feel like a regular. Service is exceptional!

Good cheap food. Burgers and brats and hot dogs and Italian beef. The Italian beef wasn’t the best but it was still yummy. Restaurant is clean and convenient! The owner is really nice. Worth going to if you’re in the area and want cheap yummy food. Whatever they use as a house sauce on their burgers is reallllly good, too!

I looked up various places on my commute home, trying to find a good place for an Italian beef. Clark Street Dog was immediately off my list because their service is awful, and I didn’t see too any other places closer toy apartment. I got off at Wellington, still undecided. As I left the station, I glanced and saw this place. Honestly, I forgot it was there. I am so glad I decided to give this place a try. Their Italian beef is great, and a pretty good portion. I also got the fries which are amazing. They fry and salt them right there. They’re a pretty big portion as well. Definitely shareable in my opinion. Prices were great. For my meal I paid just over $ 9. The girls were also very nice. Glad to find a good place with wonderful service.

Listen, I grew up a Chicago dog/big baby snob, so of course I’m always turning my nose up at these new joints but Bob’s definitely showed up and it’s love. I got the bobbo with cheese and everything on it and it was perfectly charred/juicy. Like I would even go as far as saying that it was better than portillos burger. Their special sauce had a very even taste, like it was more so the earrings rather than the gown itself. The beef was definitely the gown because DANG that was some grade A stuff. They also stacked the lettuce and tomato and stuff to not make too aggravated to actually eat the lettuce and tomato and stuff. Like, bruh how do you stack so severely? Even their fries were bomb and you wouldn’t think that fries would be that good because you know, they’re fries but did I stop to breathe while eating them? Nope. No complaints at all. It’s even a cute lil neat place to chill. Dude who took my order seemed pretty chill and woman grillin was like a pro. I wouldn’t have gone near those flames but she was like«lol whatever» about it and was pretty quick with the food. Clark Street dog used to be my main spot because I live next to it but nope Bob’s is my new boo sorry bout it.

The burgers here are delicious! I’ve tried both the single bobo and double bobo and they’ve been perfect every single time. The burger is juicy and never dried out, and with the mayo, lettuce, tomoato, and onion, the flavors just blend together well. These are simple ingredients, but here at Bob’s they make it a great combo. Just want to add that they use the Boar’s Head brand and you can really tell the difference. I hope this place is in it for the long haul and doesn’t change, this is my new go-to spot for burgers!

I gotta say, bobs el stop is without a doubt one of the most inviting restaurants I’ve found in Chicago. The Wellington sandwich is complex, yet unified– as with nearly everything on the menu, it is more than the sum of its ingredients. Bob, the namesake, is also a real stand up guy, always warm and smiling when I come in. For the price, I can’t recommend this place enough.

This place opened up a few weeks back in the neighborhood and I love it. Their menus is surprisingly large and very affordable. Their staff is incredibly nice and friendly too. Also, they offer all their options as «skinnys,» which is the menu item without the bread! Really great place, cool atmosphere with the deportations, and nice people. Will continue to eat here!

Best Chili-Dogs Ever! I started coming here because it’s by my house, but no lie, these might be the best dogs in the city(may Hot Doug’s rest in peace). The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is their polish sausage. It’s a bit too peppery for my taste.(I’m not taking any stars because this is a preference thing) I haven’t tried their Italian Beef yet, so I’ll update once I have. Overall, I Love this place!

This joint is tight. Just off the brown line. Their chili cheese fries were the proper topper to a mid afternoon wake and bake. I just wish they had a bar. Nothing like a little hair of the dog. Naw mean? Had the burger too, it was aight. Service is fast and friendly. Can’t knock their hustle in anyway. Going to swing by again to try the subs. The one with the pastrami is the one I’m aiming for. I think it’s called the wellington. Looked dope. Reeeeeeallly dope.

Cute little hotdog/burger stand right off the Wellington brown&purple line stops. I got two char dogs with the works and they were fantastic. They made it just how I like it. The toppings were fresh, the dining area was clean and uncluttered, the staff were über nice. Can’t go wrong. I’ll definitely be back to try the Italian sausage dog. Good job guys.

Went there a couple days ago after a friend suggested it and I really enjoyed it. I had the chicken sandwich and I must say its one of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve had in a long long time. The staff is very nice and friendly. The price is perfect and the locations is very cool also! It’s not too far from Wrigley field so I think I’ll be going there after a few games this coming summer. I would definitely recommend it.

We definitely got our fix of greasy burgers and fries! My boyfriend I live extremely close to Bobs and tried it for the first time this week. The burgers were good, fries a little greasy — but my reason for 3 stars is the hair that we pulled out of the fries. I work in the food industry myself, so I understand that this happens — However, it is a little bit of a mood killer. We will definitely stop by again though!

Had the cheese burger(with grilled onions), char dog, fries and split a chicken sandwich with my wife. The food was great(the burger was my favorite so next time I’ll do a double). The owner Bob is very friendly and I noticed a constant flow of regulars that he knew by name.

All hail Bob’s! Great new spot run by good people. Owner welcomed my folks and I Saturday discussing his starting the place and what he liked best — ordered a regular char and a polish and they were perfect chicago dogs. Italian beef was solid and the single cheeseburger was classic and great — small-ish patty with a good special sauce. I’d go back today for the burger. And believe it or not, the house salad my mom ordered was really, really good. If you’re watching your figure but your girlfriend is craving a deuce of double cheeseburgers, Bob’s salad makes a great option.

I can’t get enough of this place. They’ve only been open for two weeks and I’ve already tried half the menu. Friendly staff, great prices, and quality food.

Recently opened and already very impressed. The burger was delicious and full of flavor. The fries were crispy and fried just the right amount. The whole staff was super friendly and welcoming. The place looks amazing with local flair and a clean setup. Give this place a try because you will not be disappointed. Bob is super friendly and even if the food wasn’t top notch(which it was) I would come back just to give my business to a local business.

I noticed the sign as I was walking west to the brown line,(Coffee) which I learned is always always ready by the way! I thought, «these guys look like they’ve been here a while» Let’s give it a shot. I walked in, the place looks excellent, and the prices are brilliant. I found out they just had opened 2 days prior, Bob is very friendly and his staff is too, they are helpful and understand the menu really well. The food: their menu looks amazing, I want everything on it! Char dogs, subs(hot and cold) Mac and cheese, burgers, fresh cut fries. I got the ‘Wellington’ a must have hot sub, it was exactly what I needed which was not too heavy, so perfect meal before the DePaul library. Open until 12am: I know where I’ll be going for my late night Italian beef craving, I’m sure this is a clutch post-bar meal too.

Excellent Polish with a snappy casing and about a pound of fries. Opening day so they’re still tweaking their workflow and timing. But, being they just opened today, I’d say they’re off to a great start with their traditional Chicago-style menu. Vienna done right.

This is a third iteration shop run by Bob Corbett, who has broken away from his past roots at Fatso’s Last Stand and Where Frank Meets Patty. His knowledge of fast food and his desire to produce the best hamburger possible bodes well for the folks in the neighborhood. We have followed Bob for the past two locations and find his burgers are tasty, fresh and good size for the money. The fries are also an ample portion(two people can easily share one order) Don’t take my word for it, stop in for a dose of Bob’s friendly smile and great food, but if you’re adventuresome try Bob’s famous«Ooey Gooey» and do take my word for this«keep your face over the plate.»
