Friendly staff, and no long waiting. Great prices on DVDs and Blu-rays! Thanks.

I always seem to stop in just to look around even though I don’t need anything. They usually have a wide variety of items and the prices seem very fair. I am not sure if I would buy anything but it doesn’t hurt to look around. The tv brands are usually on the low end but they usually have lots of iPads, iPods, and iPhones for sale. I have not sold at this one but I wouldn’t mind giving it a try.

I was just there today for the first time. I’m giving them 2 instead of 1 star only because the place is well organized. Beyond that, I would not waste my time if I were you. I was looking for bargains. Well, this is the wrong place to look. Many of the very used items they were selling were marked at or above what they would cost new. To take one example, they had a DeLonghi portable radiator space heater marked at $ 70. It looked pretty beat. Brand new at Amazon they go for about $ 67.00: Many of the other items I looked at where I know the normal cost, including cameras, guitars, and music gear, were likewise priced very high. You would do much better(as a buyer) going to a Good Will or other thrift store. You’ll find the same selection, same quality, and pay about 1⁄10 the price, if even that.

There is something wrong at Cash America. I used to love to go to this pawn shop and buy DVD’s for $ 2.00. No more. A couple of Dvds i bought were scratched. Then i went and picked out some dvds one day and the guys behind the counter couldnt find them and blamed it on someone who was off that day. Then, they jack the prices of the dvds way up. A couple of the staff members act overly familiar with customers. Its weird, it reminds me of street culture. The gregarious street corner dealers cracking wise with all the smack heads and hypes. The prices on the dvds are nonsense. How is the movie, I Heart Huckabees a 2.00 movie, yet the best of American Idol is 5.99? Where do these guys get these prices? Is there some blue book for used DVDS? And why jack the prices up? No one is buying this shit dudes. Its not fucking crack or heroin man, we have redbox in the neighborhood for a dollar a night or netflix. Its obvious what this place is for. A last resort of sorts for all the working addicts who just cant make it to the next paycheck and have a copy of Dave Chappelles show on Dvd they want to pawn for the 2.00 they are short on their next rock.
