These guys tried selling me a simple USB connector cord for my iPhone 4 for $ 50. That seemed a bit excessive and when I asked them if they had something cheaper, the salesman and his boss looked at me like I was a felon. He graciously offered to knock $ 5 off the price but when I informed him that wasn’t interested, he gave me yet another dirty look. That was the last straw. I walked out of the store resisting every urge in my body to raise my middle finger on the way out. If you’re that bad at your job, you shouldn’t have one to begin with. Period. Guess what fellas? That same cord cost me $ 10 from the AT&T store across the street. And it works great. I wouldn’t go back to this store if it was the only option in the entire city of Chicago.

I had the EXACT same experience as the review below; i paid for the cellular connections insurance rather than verizon, and when my phone broke i had to wait on the store to get a new shipment of the same phone in(when they promised it would be a quick stop in and i’d leave happy with a new phone within the same day). No, no, no nooooo since the phone was on back order i was left phoneless and lost for about 2 weeks. I considered this to be my own fault since i didnt read the fine print and its their job to redirect money going to verizon to their account… However, since this is a third party store that sells verizon phones, they also seem to have the capability to make up their own sales. I visted the Verizon store on Fullerton(very friendly but did not offer what i wanted at the price i needed). I called cellular connections and hallelujah a NICER version of the phone i wanted had a $ 100 rebate that the other verizon store definitely did not. I forgave this place for a not-so-great first encounter and it ended up working out great for me in the end. My only advice is to get insurance through Verizon Wireless themselves rather than this story in order to see much more reliable and faster replacement service.

My first experience with this place was pretty decent. The sales person was very nice and talked me into buying a Blackberry Storm, which I’ve been pretty happy with. However, he also convinced me to purchase Blackberry insurance by paying $ 100 upfront instead of paying monthly for the Verizon insurance. He told me the advantage was that if there was a problem with the phone I would just have to stop in and they would give me a new phone, rather than having it shipped out from Verizon. Flash forward 3 months and my phone is not working. I brought it into the store, which only had one employee working with a growing number of customers int he store. He called Verizon and gave me the phone to talk to Verizon customer service. Ummm, I could have called Verizon myself. The Verizon customer service rep told me that they would ship me a new phone, but I explained that I had the plan that would allow me to pick up a phone in the store. The store employee told me that they didn’t have any left and neither did any stores in the area. I find this hard to believe. Then he told me I’d have to pay $ 40 for the new phone. When I explained the magical Blackberry plan that was sold to me he told me that I could come«Cuss out the guy» that sold me the plan, but that he always explains there is a $ 40 deductible. Yes, I probably should have read the fine print, but I still feel as though I was deceived. In the future, I will avoid this store. I’ve been to the Verizon store in Bucktown and they were much more helpful and professional.
