Caveat — I was testy when I arrived with an issue wanting credit to my account because the network was down. Only one person was in the sotre — a young man identified himself as the manager. Seemed irritated that I interrupted his cell phone conversation. Manager indicated he could not credit my account and that I had to call customer service. Left store and called customer service as directed. Verizon customer service indicated the store did, in fact, have access to account information and could have processed the credit request. Customer service rep wanted to know store location and other info. Walked back to store with customer service rep still on the phone. Store still empty — manager on personal call and again angrily disconnected the call. Manager became outraged when he thought I had reported him. With customer service rep still on the line, demanded to know my identity. Refused to give it to him. He began to CHASE me around the store trying to GRAB my phone saying again again, «Gove me your phone.» THEN, demanded that I leave«his» store. Kept using the possessive pronoun. Verizon customer service rep very shaken and had, during the altercation, called her manager as witness to the situation. Never really felt threatened persoanlly, but it was a bizarre surreal experience.

I had a great experience here! Chris and Peter helped me decide which phone was for me. I almost went with the droid, but then decided to go with the Iphone. I was very happy with the customer service! Thank you!

HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. I’ve been with Verizon for 3 years and the customer service at this location is the worst I’ve had. Do not go here, it’s a waste of time. There are a ton of stores in Chicago, spend your money and time elsewhere. This is my first negative post on Unilocal.I’m just trying to lookout for the good people out there.

I went into Verizon yesterday because my phone’s battery was shot. I walked in and no one came up to me for multiple minutes(there was only one other person in the store). Finally, Alberto Giusti, the manager approached me. He was a complete D-bag. He was so rude when he was talking to me and told me that I didn’t have unlimited internet on my phone(which I do and have had for over a year) and no matter what I did he was going to charge me $ 10 more/month. He also said that if I wanted to upgrade my phone they were going to charge me over $ 30 more/month for the exact same service. This would mean that my phone bill would be $ 120/month! He was so demeaning and totally unwilling to work with me. The same day I went down to Michigan Ave. to see what they had to say and they basically told me that this Alberto Giusti was completely bs-ing me and that they would only charge me $ 16/month to upgrade and nothing if I stayed with the same kind of phone. Long story short… don’t use this Verizon and definitely don’t listen to Alberto Giusti because he will be rude to you, lie to you and try to take your money.

I have been to this particular store twice now. The same guy — manager — has helped me both times. He and his coworker are the friendliest, most helpful guys ever! The first time was to get a phone switched over, which he did quickly and with no problem. The second time was when my mom and I went in to get our phones switched. The switch went smoothly, my contact information was completely transferred for me, and I was even shown how to work some of the applications on the phone. I would highly recommend this store to anyone that is having a problem with their Verizon phone, service, bill, etc.

I love my Verizon service, but I hate that they have 300 little retail stores and none of them can fix my phone when it breaks. My phone died on me and I was very excited because this store is only about a block from me. The worker in the store informed me that I had to go to North and Clyborn in order to get my phone fixed. After I did some more research I learned that there are only a handful of Verizon stores that will fix your phone in the area, but there are hundreds that will sell you a phone. Boo to that! 2 stars because the guy was nice.

This particular location is just an authorized dealer aka they can only sell you new phones or accessories, etc. They can’t help you with any problems relating to your bill or issues with your phone. That being said, the guy was very friendly and wrote down directions to the store on North Ave that has a service center to help me out. My experience at the North Ave store, however, is in another realm of dirty, dirty profanity and obscene hand gestures.
