Yes, I like this place. In fact, it became a Thursday night dinner tradition while my friends and I were downtown for class. We started out going to a different sandwich shop every week, but once we discovered this place, we just kept coming back. How sad that I’m not around that area much anymore so I haven’t been there in quite a while. They have quite a few choices and in my opinion they’re reasonably priced. Much cheaper than Panera or Corner Bakery. I really like that they have low-fat shakes. Now I know there’s really no such thing, but at least I can feel slightly less guilty after drinking it. They offer 5″, 7″, and 10″ sandwiches like corned beef, turkey, roast beef, Italian, vegetarian. Their combo deals are nice, too. For $ 4.00 you can get a 5″ sub, a bag of chips, and a can of soda. They get docked 1 star because the place itself is very small… they only have like 4 tables. So it’s not always the best place to actually eat the food. But hey, that’s what carry-out is for. So I say, go there!

I’m not usually in this part of downtown, but I was this weekend and I and my tourist friend swung in here for a quick bite to eat. I got a small hot dog, a small bag of chips and a small-ish(prolly 16-oz.) soda, for $ 4.25. Seemed kinda pricey to me, but it was tasty and it did the job. I liked that it looked a little old-school inside. They have the old-fashioned shake mixers and a nice counter setup… and — imagine this — the two employees there were very nice! Attentive and pleasant, joking a little… it was nice. If I’m back in that area of town again — probably with tourists — I will probably offer this place as a small-fare noshing option.
