Great food! Ask the manager for suggestions. I’m looking forward to bringing a big group downstairs and getting everything custom made.

Go 4FABULOUS Food Go 4 Food shocked the heck out of me! I was a little turned off by the exterior of the building. But I should have known by now that whole in the wall restaurants are usually the best ones. Go 4 Food was no exception. Location/Décor — tucked away on a lone street off of Archer, it is hard to recognize this unless you seek it out. I think it is Chinatown’s best kept secret! Service — Nothing really to say about the service. It was standard. But we were not wowed. We walked in, we were sat. The server brought us menus, we ordered shortly after, they delivered the food, that was it. No small talk. No follow up. It was okay. Drinks — Chinese tea was delicious as always. Food — some of the best in Chinatown. *Beef Chow Fun — 5 stars! fantastic. Huge portion. Noodles were so tender. Beef was so tender. Perfectly seasoned. Onions were slightly crunchy which paired nicely with the chewy beef. *Crab Rangoons — 3 stars. I have definitely had better. I think it was just overfilled with minced onion. It overpowered the subtle crab taste. *Vegetable Fried Rice — 4 stars. Fresh veggies fried with the best tasting rice. The only crunch was from the veggies. I love my rice soft. Price — a lot less expensive than the flashier places around it. So this was good. Once I try every restaurant in Chinatown I will definitely return.

My go to restaurant in Chinatown. It’s culinary goodness and great customer service! Their Asian Fusion cuisine is packed with so much flavor that I’ve renamed it «Soul Asian»! My favorite dishes are the Salt & Pepper Shrimp(No Shells) and the Chili Fusion Lobster. It’s perfect for a private party… in fact, I hosted my birthday brunch here in December just to see my friends face light up from tastebud satisfaction. I should get paid royalties from this place as everyone I tell is now a regular customer. Try it out, you too will become a regular!

Loved this small, family-run, Chinese place off the beaten track in Chicago’s China Town. Small(10 or so tables), café-like«joint». Menus and specials were listed on the wall. Lots of seafood specials. We had the Salt & Pepper Peeled Shrimp(lightly breaded and fantastic!!); the Mongolian Beef(wonderful!!); the Crab Rangoon(very nice!); the Chinese Style Ribs(not bad), and the homemade sticky rice(OK-ish). Next time, we’ll concentrate on the fish and beef dinners, but can’t complain about anything we had. Prices were very reasonable. Took our kids(who typically like«Americanized Chinese» and they didn’t complain). As for me, I loved the freshness of the food and execution of the preparation. «Bottom line»: looking for a replacement for that«most amazing place» you once ate at in Hong Kong? Then, head to O’Hare and jump on a flight. Looking for something totally Americanized, with lots of red lanterns and lettuce wraps? Head for the Burbs and look for the giant concrete horses! But want something authentic, yet approachable? Head to 23rd St. Won’t be disappointed!

Don’t Go 4 Food here — our food seemed to have been prepared by someone very inexperienced. Upon checking the reviews, I noticed consistent complaints of food being soggy. Add one more to the list. The chow mein was the soggiest noodles I’ve ever had. If there weren’t some singed parts, I would have not known that it was ever fried. No crunch whatsoever. What was super disappointing was that we were given won tons had spoiled. We had to throw them out. Essentially dinner came down to a few strands of vegetables in the leftover soup, with soggy noodles, and that gets a one from me.

Food was too expensive in terms of their portion and quality… Food was in small portion and under standard. And they charge for rice!

My husband and I went there to celebrate his birthday 2 days ago. We ordered some seafood(clams, crab, oyster) Both of us had diarrhea, my husband feel nausea for the following day. The food flavor is very good, but the quality of seafood is poor.

Foodie Juliet: «What’s in a name? That which they call „Go 4 Food“ by any other name would taste as savory.» I had Go 4 Food in my bookmarks for quite some time before I finally suggested it as a place to meet a friend who is also well-travelled. Even with its four Unilocal stars, the name presents a risk to the person who suggests eating there to his friends, if they don’t like it. «Go 4 Food? They should really call it Go 4(insert lame-before-it’s-even-said ‘joke’ word here).» The waiter suggested their Ban Mi Tacos with Korean-style BBQ pork. They were delicious: The pork was tender and tasty, and the hand-held«pork delivery device» fresh as can be. That was a winner; so we took his suggestions for our entrees as well: the French Style Beef Tenderloin, and the Razor Clams. The tenderloin had a melt-in-my-mouth texture, once I bit through the crusty outside – the perfect combination, with a sauce that might have made Pavlov himself, and not just his dog, drool. I’d never had a razor clam, and most clams I’d had in the past were a bit rubbery. G4 °F must have read my mind to «hold the rubber,» the critters were quite enjoyable. I can see why they call them razor clams: The long, thin shells do look a little like razor blades, and when hinged open, they look like old-school, double-edge«safety» razors. I’m glad that they were named during the days of simple razors. If Gillette 5-blade razors had existed then, a razor clam would have described one, funky, mutated, penta-valve mollusk. G4 °F is a relatively small, mom & pop type of place, with friendly and efficient service. If your Romeo or Juliet is a die-hard foodie, you might find romance here by way of the food. Otherwise, for date night, you’d better bring your dame to a joint that’s a little classier. «You took me to Go 4 Food for date night? You must not have wanted to Get Any 6 tonight!» At least, if that happens, you won’t have Gone 4 Broke: the prices are reasonable.

«If you had come 10 minutes later, you would have lost your reservation.» Ok, but we’re here now and not 10 minutes later. Why would you say that to someone who’s coming in to GIVEYOUTHEIRMONEY!!! My mom insisted on giving this place another try because someone told her they have amazing won ton noodles here(amazingly average?). Lunch specials come with pop and egg roll. We had to remind them about both. Such a shame the servers are so rude because the food is actually decent(shrimp with egg yolk and steamed giant clams).

We ordered from their $ 5.95 weekday lunch special. Taiwanese braised pork and Fish Filet with Cream of Corn. Both dishes were salty and soggy. Not authentic at all. There was only one waiter since the place was empty and he was rude to us.

Food was hit or miss, some dishes stood out while others were bland. The French style beef tenderloin, a restaurant special, was the highlight of the meal. Lots of beef cubes which were all rich in flavorful. The taco bao were made of korean style beef with minced veggies, again very flavorful meat. It reminds me of moo shu that I’ve had before, but here it comes with bao to put the mixture onto. The order comes with 4 bao, which would be 4 very loaded tacos. I suggest ordering another 1 – 2 bao to have reasonably sized tacos. Lastly, the egg tofu with salted egg yolk was something I’ve never had before, and not something I plan to have again. The texture and flavor was entirely egg, but also fried. It was neither healthy nor flavorful, at least to my palate. We did come with a groupon and without a reservation, and they accommodated us. Based on other reviews it seems like it depends on who is working at the time.

After reading a bunch of reviews about their crab, I was like«let’s do this!» (For the record: I have«never» tried crab before in my life) Their Red Chili Fusion Dungeness Crab is amazing! That breading, spices, garlic. everything came along nicely. The meat was well cooked, tender and juicy. Also ordered the Millionaire Fried Rice. Honestly skip this. It isn’t that great. Just some soggy wet porridgy stuff. The place is kinda small and barely had any air conditioning. It’s a sit down restaurant but with a pick up atmosphere. I’d still give this 5 stars just for the food Next on my list is their pigeon(again, never tried this before)

This simple, no-frills place in Old Chinatown is a great place for lunch. Menu is simple but has enough selection that you’re bond to find something you love. I liked the simplicity of the menu. definitely get decision anxiety when there are too many items. We ordered the fried fish and pork belly. I usually don’t go for anything fried, but the fried fish was worth it! Nicely salted, crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. I even liked it better than the pork belly! The pork belly was good as expected of pork belly. Half fatty and half lean — a good dish to have over rice. The place itself isn’t fancy or «nice» but it’s clean and good place to chat over good food.

This is the most expensive Chinese food for some basic food. Never again will I step into this restaurant willingly. For service, he barely brought us any condiments and we had to ask him twice to bring them.

This place was not good. I was really disappointed because I saw all of these great pics on Unilocal and I expected some authentic Chinese. What I got was nothing like the pictures. I ordered delivery on a weekday night. Guy who took my order was nice and the food came quickly but that’s about the only good thing I can say. Food was really Americanized, salty, and greasy. I ordered the following: Shrimp and walnuts — tiny shrimp, no thick crust, barely any of that thick sweet mayo sauce I would expect from an authentic dish. On top of that, it sat on a pathetic bed of cabbage and there were NOWALNUTS! Wahhhh Pork and preserved vegetables — pretty decent. Ok flavor. Much more greasy than what I’ve had in the past. Salt and pepper egg tofu — usually salt and pepper tofu has a thick fried crust and has no sauce, so I thought this would be a safe for delivery. This place mixes the tofu with some salty sauce so it got sooo soggy. Total fail Cantonese fried rice — salty and had some weird taste that I couldn’t quite pinpoint — could it be msg? Yuck Overall, I took a gamble and ordered from this place based off of awesome Unilocal reviews and pictures and my gamble FAILED!

The food here is tasty but definitely AMERICANIZED!!! Maybe b/c we ordered from lunch menu, the dishes are paired with soda and rice and spring roll, not what I expected for family style dish… I got the Taiwanese braised pork rice, it’s ok but not authentic at all… It’s too sweet and the pork if not minced at all:((the mapo tofu is not spicy enough… The vege and fish fillet is definitely Americanized… It’s kinda small, but tidy. I do not recommend here for authentic Chinese food, but it’s a decent Asian restaurant.

Was very skeptical that this place was overhyped with mediocrity, considering the younger and non-Asian customer base. However, this place is Asian approved, as food was good and since it is run by ABCs, service was good too, which is rare for most places in Chinatown, being older establishments. Small space so make reservations. Enjoyed the clear layout of the menus and some of the unique offerings. Wouldn’t exactly say the place is fusion though, since many of the items are standard/traditional items. We got the king mushroom with egg tofu, pea pod tips, crispy smelt, salted egg yolk shrimp, and the mixed mushrooms in a Japanese pumpkin. The pumpkin took the longest to come out, which is understandable as the whole pumpkin takes the longest to cook. It took a tad long for the other dishes to come out, but not too unreasonable. While the fares are on the pricier side for Chinatown, I was delighted to see appropriate portions. They weren’t huge but not that small either, as other Unilocalers reviewed. They were pretty average in size. Now to the food. I’ve had better king mushrooms elsewhere but this dish was standard. Pea pod tips were good and fresh. The smelt was very good. They definitely used fresh hot oil to fry them, as they were very crispy and the batter was just right. The salted egg yolk shrimp were very tasty and shrimp were pretty big. The Japanese pumpkin dish was pretty good. The pumpkin had a nice sweet flavor that wasn’t too bland or overpowering. Overall, everything was perfectly cooked, nothing under or over. Would definitely come back and try other dishes, especially the more unique ones.
