This store is highly recommended. I have been getting estimates from local custom framing stores in the area for the project I have. I was greeted and assisted by Sarah, whom was so friendly and helpful and knowledgable. She spent considerable time with me going over various options and pricing etc and the interaction and experience was very enjoyable. Their prices are competitive with other stores in the area.(I went to Michael’s to get an estimate and they quoted me the same price as what Granville Picture Framing quoted and Michael’s estimate was their current«sale» promotion and did not include the perks that Granville Picture Framing provided in their estimate.) Sarah also assisted me with ordering glass for a broken picture frame I had. She was very thorough and asked for additional info regarding the glass that I had never been asked before. She wanted to make sure the glass was the perfect cut for the frame. I appreciate this level of professionalism and attention to detail. The pricing for the cut glass was very competitive as well. I will definitely return with additional framing needs. They were the best!

I recently had two pieces of art framed at Granville. The quality of the work is top-notch. Sarah and another person(whose name I unfortunately do not remember) provided excellent assistance with choosing the frames for each piece, ultimately suggesting the frames I chose. Of course, as with most framing, it was pricey, but in my experience, you get what you pay for — and these pieces look amazing. I’ll definitely be back next time I need to get something framed. This place also has lots of lovely pre-framed art and mirrors for sale, as well as pre-made frames. The artwork is not the cheap kind of posters or reprints you’ll find everywhere, so it’s worth looking around the shop even if you’re there to get something framed. Finally, I love the effort these folks put into their windows. The window displays change on about a monthly basis, and are often keyed to a holiday or season. Their holiday display has animatronic teddy bears skiing and a dalmatian playing piano. Very charming.

This place does great work, that’s true. Their prices, however, are outrageous. As an example, I went in with a smallish piece, already framed, and just wanted them to put on a backing and a mat. This wound up costing around $ 115! At first, I thought this was par for the course, but then several people who’d had things framed elsewhere told me that I’d been ripped off. As such, I’ve found another place that does work every bit as good and for significantly less.

I have an eclectic collection of art in my home. Prints, paintings, tiles, etc. from various galleries across the country, different styles, different eras, different everything. I also have paintings and artwork from travels. I love my mishmash of beauty. It has meaning and memory for me. It is personal and touches upon intrinsic feelings, isn’t that what art is supposed to do? I picked up some strange and not typically beautiful or lovely paintings on a trip not so long ago. They needed mounting and framing. I wanted them preserved. I brought them to Granville Gallery at the recommendation of a true art person and she was right on. They did an amazing job, I am thrilled. I chose basic framing at this point and will be back for more complete and ornate work in the future. I have other pieces that will be headed this way. I am really happy with the recommendations and expertise. How lucky we are to have this shop in the neighborhood!

I took in a painting that needed just a wire put on the back so that it’s ready to hang for an upcoming show. Alliana(Lincoln Square location) did it in 5 minutes! Which was awesome.

They do a truly great job framing. I had several items framed here and have always found the work to be great. The staff is very helpful and offers good suggestions for your framing project. The prices are a bit high but definitely worth it for your special mementos.

We have several items framed here over the past couple years, from our wedding signature photo’s custom matting to some important pieces of art that we wanted to do better by than a Target frame. Service and craftsmanship here is top-notch. Wait times have always seemed reasonable(a week or so turn-around?) and while prices can sort of sting, the quality of their work, the years of experience they bring to your project, and their eye for quality is worth every penny. Plus, it’s a local business. Take a look around. You KNOW you have at least one thing hanging up that belongs in something better than the $ 12 frame you got at Target. Give these folks a shot at it. You’ll be so glad you did!

If you want some really unique accessories for your home, this is the place to go! This place is packed with all sorts of dispaly items, like frames and side tables. I have found the most beautiful paintings here. The sales people here are really nice too — they won’t follow you around and will let you take your time and browse around. Stop in and I’m sure you’ll find something unique for your home too!
