We finally stopped in after breakfast at Pauline’s today. The shop is very small but filled with so many unique finds. Barb was so welcoming and knowledgable about her products and their artists. We ended up getting a soy candle and we also walked away with the most unique lighter I’ve ever seen. Even though it was her last one from a few years ago and was used for the shop, she was willing to sell it to us for a «used» price! The framing she had displayed looked great as well, which is definitely her forte. All in all it’s a great spot in the neighborhood to keep in mind and is worth the stop inside.

Barbara has framed six or seven pieces of art/​photographs for us over the years, ranging from street art pieces brought back from vacation to wedding pictures. Every piece she has framed for us is beautiful and original. Her eye for detail and creativity is amazing and her work is impeccable. In addition to framing and art, the store has artisan gifts for the home and some jewelry. I can’t recommend Painted Lights highly enough-​thanks Barbara (and Duke the dog) for your great work!

The love and artistry that is put into every project I’ve had done here is top of the line. Barb is a master of her craft, her shop is lovely in its own right, and it seems like no odd request is beyond her ability. If you have memories to frame or even a unique piece that needs an artist’s touch, you will not be disappointed in the results from Painted Light.

Barb Laing is an artist. I have had many things beautifully framed, restored and hand colored by this gifted artist. We work together on many things (picking the best frame & mats) but I have also just dropped pieces off and said: «do your thing!» and I have never been disappointed! She will frame anything and make it a true piece of art, plus she has a retail store that offers unique, wondrous gift items.
