Take this from someone whos family used to own a sushi bar, and who eats sushi minimum of once weekly. Skip this place!!! Ordered delivery from this place. Bad move. Ordered four things. The Thai iced tea was very good. No complaints there. Left in cup: not a drop The Pan Fried Gyoza was pretty flavorless. Also not pan fried very well, more like steamed. Nothing special. Left on plate 3⁄6 The Shrimp Tempura Maki wasn’t very good at all. I mean, it was just BAD! There is a crumb like coating around the rice that made the whole thing very mushy. The sauce on it way too sweet, they need to use less of it or put it on the side. The Tempura coating on the shrimp was very hard in some parts. Just no. Left on plate 4.5÷6 The Boston Roll, a tuna avocado roll, my favorite maki roll usually. It’s hard to screw it up unless you have bad fish. Well, you couldn’t even taste the tuna, so it’s like I had an avocado roll. It is cut so large(6 pieces, could easily be 8 – 10 pieces) that I ended up taking the avocado and tuna out and eating them like that— which is how I know the tuna was absolutly flavorless. Left on plate: the rice & seaweed of 4⁄6 Other complaints… sushi rice is right down mushy, soy sauce container is to tiny to dip sushi into, way way way OVERPRICED!!! The food wasn’t outright bad, it just wasn’t good… at all. It was edible, I mean if you haven’t eaten for a few days you’d probably enjoy it. Maybe this review is a bit harsh, I just don’t enjoy over paying for food and then end up eating Special K cereal for dinner. Two stars: 1 for the great thia iced tea, 1 for the freaky fast delivery

Ordered delivery for a party. Bad move! The sushi rice is very mushy. Nothing special. Nothing impressed me. Will definitely skip sushi here from now on.

Found this place on Unilocal and I gotta say it was amazing! We came on a Tuesday the place was empty so it was very quick and great service. We both had gone with the pad thai and it was very tasty. We got a roll of sushi as well and that was spectacular too! The place is BYOB which was very convenient and I would recommend this for anyone looking for good sushi or Thai food!

One of our favorite places to go. The place looks like a date spot but you can go there for lunch or dinner on your own. Which I have seen ppl do many times. The food is that good. I get the dragon role. I think it’s their best but I am sure every one has their favorite. The lunch specials are really good price and it is plenty to fill you up. If you live in the area I would be really surprised this is not one of your favorite regular spots. Fyi the ice coffee is a good one too.

Not many Thai/sushi options in the area therefore, hands on has been our to go spot for the last few years. Pad Thai, pad see ew and panang are a few of my favs. Great service every time we go to dine there… BYOB is a plus too

My boyfriend and I have been here a few times and each time, we have had a great experience. It’s small but quiet and the sushi is amazing! Honestly, can’t be beat in my opinion. Their wasabi mayo is the bomb! I wouldn’t recommend the crazy noodles though, because the texture is slimy and off. The veggies on it did taste good though.

We tried this place for the first time. We didn’t wait long to receive our order. However, I’m sorry to say but our order of pad see iew beef and pad thai chicken was just too salty. My husband ordered pad see iew and he said there’s some burned areas in his food. I thought it was only his food that was burned. Unfortunately I even tasted some burned chicken on my pad thai chicken. Sad part is they didn’t even seem busy. How disappointing! I think I’m just generous I gave them 2 stars.

An amazing experience! Probably the best sushi I have had. We got the gangster platter that consisted of 5 rolls which were chef’s choice rolls. They had a variety of flavors added to them. we also had the crab Rangoon, poppers and edamame, all were delicious. We tried their dessert of key lime pie– which I was skeptical about at first but was very tasty, light and not overly done. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back.

This place is fantastic. The food is top notch, the service is attentive, the restaurant is clean and well maintained, and it’s BYOB which is a total bonus. I’ve had a couple of their Thai dishes and they have all been solid. Only had their sushi once but it was fresh and delicious. The miso soup is very good and I’d recommend starting with that. The Crab Rangoon is different than your typical ‘Chinese restaurant’ fried frozen junk, I’d give them a shot if I were you. My only complaint, and really this is just a personal thing, is that the dining room can be a bit warm at times. I prefer a cooler temperature room myself, but this place is so good I don’t care about being a little warm.

We’ve become regulars of hands on thai. The food is very good, simple, yet flavorful. Our favorite is the basil fried rice. The staff is very nice and accommodating as we like to add mushrooms to it and omit jalepenos. Ingredients taste fresh and we can rely on it being consistent. Portion size is abundant. The place is a moderate size, cozy and the best part is its BYOB Love to bring some wine for dinner. Overall hands-on thai is a must try!

I stumbled on this place by accident and have been a regular customer ever since. The food taste great and very reasonably priced. They have a very cozy atmosphere and they play really interesting but chill music. I’m in love with this place and will keep coming back :)

I’m assuming that the high reviews for this place are from people that either just stuck with the Thai side of the menu, or have not had decent sushi in their life. The sushi rolls were the size of my fist. Every roll had about a half cup of rice on it and a hard chunk of cucumber. The positive was they played great music. The miso soup and Asian house salad was good.

Food is undoubtedly amazing quality. I got house Asian salad and ginger dressing was great with avacado pairing. Avacado roll was great and big. Chicken teriyaki one of the best white meats I have ever had with a killer sausce. Green tea tiratsmsu is a must. Fresh and great work put into taste.

I have generally liked this restaurant quite a lot. But I will say, you would be well served to stick with the standards. swapped black and brown rice on two different dishes and both were disappointing. I have had excellent examples at other establishments, but here it was just not very good. Subtracting a star and will stick with the dishes they do best.

We went for dinner on a Friday. We started with a California roll. But it wasn’t great. The mayo was too sweet. For our mains we had the curry. Red & massaman. They were both very tasty. However, it was a bit lite in veggies. Compared to the amount of rice & curry. Really cute place. And 10% off with 1st checkin

Hands on is a simple Asian restaurant located in Dunning. We made reservations on Open Table. They were not necessary for a Saturday night which was surprising, we were the only people there. It is not only a takeout place. There is plenty of seating but it was kind of nice being the only people there that night. They have a good menu and be sure to use the Unilocal check in discount. We had the edamame, tofu frito, gyoza, and some sort of seafood dish. They were all good and will fill you up for sure.
