Ordered egg drop soup, shrimp fried rice and beef & broccoli to go last night. I arrived about 15 mins after I placed my order and the food was hot & fresh when I got home. The fried rice and soup were awesome — but I wasn’t given any broccoli with my broccoli & beef(I looked on the receipt and it said ‘broccoli gravy’, so I think it was a matter of the guy hitting the wrong button). Not the end of the world but I was a little bummed. Overall the price and the taste were right and I will definitely return.

I didn’t expect much from this place and that’s what I got! The Bok choy in garlic sauce was probably the best dish I had that night. The Mongolian beef was pretty good too but all the other dishes were not worth me going to the Chinese place. The prices are cheap but I’d rather pay more for so I can enjoy my food. With so many Chinese places to eat in Chicago, I would not put this on my list to go back to.

I went out with my girlfriend and her sister because we wanted Chinese food! The place is nice and the lady is very friendly. The portions are abundant and the price is very affordable. The flavor won’t let you down either.

I chose this place because of the reviews here on Unilocal, but I was quite disappointed. The food was just okay, not great. I ordered the General Tso’s chicken, and it came with chicken fried rice. I travel a lot and I eat Chinese food in every state that I go to. This place would have to be at the bottom of the list. The meat was not white meat from a chicken breast, as stated in an earlier review, but dark meat. The rice had way too much pepper, and just wasn’t right. However, the service was impeccable. I ordered as delivery and received the food really fast, and the delivery driver was very nice. I wish I could write more nice things about this place, but I cannot.

Ordered the general tso’s chicken lunch special for $ 6.50. It came with a soda, egg roll, and large portion of chicken fried rice– very good deal! I also ordered a small hot and sour soup — very big container actually, the soup itself was bland. Solid Chinese food(I’m Asian and have had my fair share of all kinds of Asian cuisine). The chicken was battered and didn’t get soggy under the sauce. A few bits of broccoli. Very large portion! The flavor itself was ok, a bit better than average. The food was cooked fresh and packed in less than 10 minutes. Good service. I’d most likely order from here again if I’m in the mood for decent Chinese food, great that’s it’s walking distance! Not the most authentic Chinese food but for a neighborhood fix it’ll do fine.

This family joint is becoming a weekly pilgrimage for lunch. This small spot, is quiet, and the staff is super friendly. They are always on top of refilling your beverage. They have a great selection of lunch specials– that are fresh, hot, filling, and run about $ 8 all in. You get a big plate of food, egg roll, and a coke for that. I like my food as spicy as you can make it– they never get to where I like, but they always bring me some fresh chilli peppers to put on as much as I want. Stop by for lunch, and if you leave hungry– you did something wrong!

Hole in the wall is the most correct descriptor. It was still winter in Chicago when I first checked them out and it was about 40 degrees(F) outside. The chill of the outdoors had permeated the double door system meant to keep the weather out. This all left a chilling feeling inside the dining room. It was just cozy enough(with my coat on) to allow for enjoyment of my food. If you aren’t sure what to get, read reviews! I kind of went overboard. Lunch special of General Tso’s chicken, which I requested spicy as well as the fried rice. Egg rolls were decent and I got an order of fried potstickers which were good as well. Service was great despite the run-down look of the place. Like a crappy tasting fortune cookie, sometimes an inspiring fortune is found within. When the restaurant boxes your dine-in food for you, I find this service fucking brilliant and tip accordingly. Cheers.

My favorite for fast, tasty, and convenience. There rice is always on point, I usually get a veggie fried rice which is always made fresh and is nice and soft. The eggrolls are the best. The Lo-mein is great, u get some free eggrolls or chicken wings with orders of over 25 dollars I believe and I usually get the chicken wings which I love but my wife ain’t crazy about. The delivery is very fast, I never had a problem with my order. The dining area is not so inviting so I always carryout or get delivery. I ordered almost 50 dollars worth of food once and I asked for 2 little things of hot sauce he charged me 25 cents for one and gave me one free. REALLY! So not so costumer friendly but really enjoy the food.

Glad we went out of our way. The portions were wonderful and the price insanely reasonable. We dined in choose 2 lunch specials and a few extras and were very satisfied! Dine in or carry out. It’s worth it.

Was kinda scared at first, but this place is surprisingly clean and the staff is friendly and easy to understand on the phone. They have a classic huge Chinese menu and the style is classic«american Chinese» food. Loved the fried chicken and egg foo young. Over all pretty standard. Might need to add a little salt, but I look forward to trying the peking duck!

Though I finally figured under-cooked Chinese beef does not get along well with my stomach, I must say that 1. The place looks good 2. The service was blazing fast 3. No customer friendly bullshit, like constantly asking if I need anything else 4. Boxed my leftovers for me 5. The check arrived promptly I was the only customer when I came, nevertheless I think the service was great.

I think they changed owners, or distributors. The food has taken a nose dive. Pretty sad.

I just loves this place! I am very picky about chinese food and the only place I liked so far in the city, is a restaurante by Belmont and Cicero! But this week, I went to the mechanic to change the oil in my car, and they were gonna take a while so I went to eat. I ordered shrimp with vegetables and fried rice and it came with a delicious roll! For just 6,50 i got a lot of food! I just loved the taste of everything! Highly recommend it! I dont know about delivery service as everybody is complaining because I dont live in the area! And they treat me really good! People need to know that in this country we are from different countries and they are chinese, so they are not as friendly as some other country but that doesnt mean they are rude! Is the way they are!

Crab ragoons are good. Their food is not bad actually, but if you decide to stay there, be prepared for the worst service ever. They prefer that you do not stay there and give you dirty looks till you leave.

Maybe they’re having an off day. But I just ordered pick up. And their beef and broccoli sucks doesn’t even taste like beef and broccoli the sauce is water and the beef is gray. and so does their pork fried rice. My boyfriend liked his orange chicken

I’m not from the neighborhood at all. When a friend of mine told me she had to go to Six Corners to meet a coworker to pick up things for her job and asked me to tag along. I jumped at the chance to get out of the house and do something that day. We planned on walking around the Six Corners shopping district and we did. We also paid our sincere respects to the magnificent«Portage Theater» which we previously visited many times. Getting hungry and me wanting some Chinese, we decided to eat here. The place looks… like it has seen better days. However, I don’t care about décor at all. I actually like places like this because it allows you to realize what really is important is the food and the service. Both were excellent. I ordered a General Tso’s chicken combo with a strawberry smoothie and my friend got a banana smoothie. My plate was huge and I was given a good amount of food for what I paid. They even have options to take it easy on the sauce or not use MSG. The lady who served me was also incredibly friendly and nice. She took my order quickly and my food came in 5−7minutes. I found it funny because I could of sworn she was arguing with other workers in Mandarin or Cantonese, but I’ve heard that depending on how you say a word it has a different force. Maybe that was it. even then I was chuckling while eating my food. Anyway it was everything I expected and if I’m ever in the neighborhood again(Portage please come back!), I’ll definitely eat here again.

The delivery was fast, the prices weren’t bad but the food wasn’t that good. Actually, the crab rangoon was delicious! I’m so picky about it and was impressed with it. We also ordered the egg drop soup(it was okay), the orange chicken(mediocre), chicken fried rice(okay, very salty), egg roll(not very good) and mongolian beef(SWIMMING in wayyyyy too many onions. WHERE’S THEBEEF???).

This is a lovely little Chinese restaurant. I dined in today with my boyfriend and we were both completely satisfied with our experience. We spent only $ 20 and have leftovers for days. The food took 10 minutes to arrive at our table after ordering and the portions were very large(see photo I uploaded). The only thing that wasn’t a completely 5 star experience was the sesame chicken sauce. It was a little bland. Simple dining experience. 5 stars.
