Food had absolutely no taste and milkshake wasn’t even good. How do you screw up a milkshake? Basically what I thought afterwards was«well…that was food.» Not good.

Pretty darn good burgers! They were fast and delicious. Reminds me of an In N Out burger.

Cathleen was at counter and did a great job. All the workers wore gloves behind the register area but none of the cooks in the back had gloves on. One of them even had a bandaid on his finger. I watched them all grab food with bare hands and not once did they wash their hands. One of them even wiped his hands on his pants. Ordered two chicken betty’s and one spicy chicken and fries. The chicken Betty was great. The spicy chicken was extremely small, one fried chicken tender with a small squirt of buffalo and very little blue cheese. I definitely would not order that as it’s not worth it. The fries are phenomenal here and would recommend this every time you eat here. Better than all the other fast food places I have been. Could have been a little bit more clean as the counters all were sticky and wet. I think the cooks in kitchen need training on food handling and use of gloves.

That is a tasty burger, salty fries and a delicious chocolate shake. I eat here every time I’m in Chicago. I’m going there for lunch tomorrow before I head to the airport. The place is so small it’s crazy but they are always playing loud music and seem to be having a good time, which is cool. Salad style is okay but I really wish they had a gluten free bun, I’ve even considered bringing in my own.

Distasteful treatment. I’m at Lurie’s Children hospital with my son and we went online to order M Burger delivery. There was an error in processing and so we called to confirm. The individual who picked up was unable to track our order down and I asked for the manager to confirm. He put the phone down and referred to «a clown» who is «getting on his nerves» who doesn’t know where«the f@ck he is». I gave the feedback to the cashier who picked up and she was mortified. Needless to say we canceled our order. Can’t comment on the food but the service was, well, subpar.

The closest thing to In N Out in the Midwest. Love the chocolate milkshake. Fries and burgers are great when you need that greasy fix. And you can order thru Über Eats and get it delivered right to your door!

How sad to see this restaurant fall so far. The new menu is more expensive and the staff is less responsive, even when the place is empty(what? it used to be packed, what’s going on?) The menu on the wall does not include any hamburger without cheese — for that you need to go to the secret menu… But try to order a specialty burger without cheese and«salad style»(M burger’s registered trademark description of a lettuce wrap) and you’ll get two unadorned patties on a bun. No mustard as advertised. No lettuce, no pickle, no sauce. Grilled onions still a bit raw. Maybe it is for the best. When I feel drawn to M Burger next time, maybe I’ll order the salad with chicken. I hope that hasn’t changed.

M burger… more like MMMMmmmm burger. Being an In-N-Out regular, it’s hard to find a great tasting«fast food» burger in the midwest. For what it’s worth, M burger is probably at the same caliber of that oh-so-amazing burger joint out west… I wouldn’t say better, but for those craving a little Double-Double Animal Style, a Double M Burger might come close to hitting the spot.

Great casual burger with interesting variations from a creator with a fine dining background. Years of experience in the arts and sciences of food were put into crafting the burgers, fries and shakes here. M Burger is in the same class as shake shack, and better than In-N-Out. If you’re looking for a quick burger in Chicago, this is the one to have.

For the price, the value is outstanding. The food tastes great every time. This is my third visit and my fourth meal from this specific location. The quality hasn’t changed once, and to add even more praise, the staff has been consistently friendly. Very happy consumer.

Only four because had we been super hungry it wouldn’t have been enough. The burgers were hot and the lettuce and tomatoes were cold which equaled a wonderfully, delightful taste. The fries were fresh cut and piping hot with just the right amount of sea salt to leave us wanting more. The staff was helpful not just to us but others as that ordered behind us. Seating is quaint in a good way and had it not been so cold outside there is seating there as well. Try it, you’ll it!

I chose this burger place because it is close to the hospital. It was average. Nothing really stood out to me. The burger patty was the size of a mcdonalds burger the bun was no different then one I could grab at the grocery and the fries had nothing to make them stand out either. The chocolate shake was too rich for me but some may like that. The price was a good value for being downtown.

Tiny, tiny burger place. Maybe 8 people can seat here if they share tables. However, the cooker hoods are so effective that you don’t smell like fast food after you dine here which I actually didn’t expect. Burgers were good but nothing exceptional. I also had a Vanilla milkshake which tasted very average and was mostly icecream and therefore I had to use a spoon. Overall, this place has nothing on Shake Shack unfortunately which remains my favorite for fast food in Chicago. I suggest to go elsewhere unless you are literally standing in front of this place and the burger cravings are too strong.

In line with most of the other reviews, this place is above average and worth a stop if you find yourself in need of a quick bovine fix around meal time. Located on the second level of a the complex that contains Macy’s, it’s adjacent to a number of other eateries, giving you plenty of options. The place is a bit on the cramped side, but it works, given the seating for around 30 people. The line queues up on the left and you wait on the right. Menu is simple with 4 or 5 burger options(the M burger was solid — Burger + Bacon = Bliss), a non-meat option(The nurse burger — though this can be obtained con carne) and chicken or turkey options. The fries were excellent, crispy, lightly salted and with a little skin left on them. We finished off with a couple Malt’s for us and the kiddos. They were boss! Thick ice cream, legit dark chocolate and just enough that we felt like we got our money’s worth, but without it being so big that we couldn’t get through it. The ice cream fixins looked great and are certainly something we’ll be back for in the future! Very friendly and helpful staff who move things along, but don’t get snippy with you — a good mix. The whole experience was similar to Dick’s in Seattle, but inside a food court. Relatively quick and actually tastes like it was cooked, not just reheated. Worth checking out if you’re in the area, but not a go out of your way to try type spot.

M burger is a solid choice for a «new» fast food burger. By new I mean it is part of the new wave of fast food /burger chains that have flooded us the last 5 or 6 years. Five Guys, Shake Shake etc. They all crush the traditional old school mega chains such as McDonalds; you simply have no reason to go to those places ever again. M Burger is not the best of the new wave but not the worst either. The patties are thin so get a double if you want the beef. I add bacon, cheese and grilled onions for a very satisfying quick serve burger. Shakes are also good. This is a category with tons of competition but give them a shot. You don’t have to wait in long lines and they are a good value. One word of caution: these places are small. Most are carved out of space from existing Lettuce Entertain You restaurants(M Burgers parent company) so they tend to be tiny.

Very small burger place, no more than 10 people can fit inside, there are only seats for a few people. However they are good at processing orders and food comes fast. The food is good, even though not exceptional. But for a burger chain, I liked it :) One great thing about the place is the terrace outside: they have lots of tables and benches you can sit on, and when the weather is good, it just feels great to be able to have lunch here. Also, the location is nice, right by Michigan Avenue: if ever you are hungry and want to have quick affordable and decent food between two stores, or simply because you are passing by, M-Burger is a fine place! Conclusion: 3* only because I am a gourmet, otherwise it would totally deserve 4*.

Very small hamburger place. The store is just big enough for taking orders. Customers have to line up all the way outside the place. But the sidewalk seating areas is very nice and comfortable. You need some luck to find a table thought. The hamburgers are really good — fresh and tasty. The chicken burgers are good also. The avocado makes it taste much more delicious. We all enjoyed the quick lunch and the sidewalk dinning experience, which we don’t do much under the scorching sun in Dallas, Texas.

When you can’t decide between a hamburger and a grilled cheese sandwich, M Burger’s secret menu comes to your rescue. Ask for a bacon cheeseburger«Roman style» and you’ll get both. Yep, a bacon cheeseburger with two grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns. If that sounds insane, it is pretty extreme. However I must say that both the burger and the grilled cheese are top notch, and the combination weirdly satisfying. Fries and shakes here are just run of the mill. Pricing is quite reasonable. I like this location’s ample outside seating, which is nicely shaded. That’s a good thing, since the dining area inside is about two feet wide!

M-burger is an awesome new burger chain in Chicago. They have classic burgers, spicy hurt burgers, and chicken sandwiches. Each sandwich can be served ‘salad style’ with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. The Chicken Betty is a delicious choice, it has avocado on it, and the spice they put on the hurt-sauce can be as spicy as you like it(1st, 2nd or 3rd degree burn) This place also has bomb milkshakes. Standard flavors are available, but each month they has a special flavor(this month was Key Lime Pie). The space is small but has enough room to seat a few groups, there is also Outdoor seating!

I stopped in yesterday as I was in the area. The staff was all incredibly friendly and nice, which is always a plus. I ordered a cheese burger, the boyfriend said it was good — but it was pretty small for the price of nearly $ 4. I got the Chicken Betty, again good; the guac on the sandwich made the bread super soggy, and I ate it right after ordering it. I can’t imagine what would have happened to the bread had I had to wait a while to eat. I think if if had been placed on the sandwich with lettuce on top it’d be better off. Now, the fries were excellent! Only one size, which is a bit size, and they were $ 2.50. Seems a bit pricy, but as I said, they were delicious. My boyfriend got a vanilla shake as well; and it was really good(I snuck a few sips). I liked the food and would get it again if I were done here, but $ 20 seemed pretty pricey for the amount of food we got… that’s just me, though! Also, I didn’t like that they didn’t have any meal deals to offset the cost, slightly.
