I am no longer a fan of the TJ Maxx/​Marshalls brand which is unfortunate because you cannot really beat the price point. But lately, every time I visit this Marshalls the store is a huge mess, no workers are there to help (ever), the selection in mens clothing is horrible (This is Michigan Avenue! What is the issue), there is never any furniture here either. I just won’t even try anymore.

Been awhile since I had visited any Marshalls store. I did not pack enough socks so went in search of an affordable place.
If I had not read other Unilocal reviews, then I would not have found them. Conveniently, they are located in the same building as their sister store TJ Maxx. Marshall’s is downstairs.
Prices are lower than anywhere on Magnificent Mile. Good spot to shop if you are on a tight budget.

Yep, I’m queen of finding discount shopping where ever I am. I found a Marshalls and went in to scope out the discounts. I wasn’t terribly impressed. Usually for Marshalls, I am looking for higher end makeup, this store came up woefully short. HOWEVER. they did provide a new eye mask for sleeping — something I’d forgotten to pack, for a good price.
I’d picked one up in the makeup/​accessories area, but when we were in line, waiting to check out, I found a different one for less. You can bet I snatched that one up!

So I know its June/​summer time but last week the temps in Chicago dipped down to the 50’s. Hubs didn’t pack any long sleeves so we stopped into a few shops looking for something simple — a long sleeved shirt, a hoodie, whatever. Apparently Chicago doesn’t believe in sleeves b/​c we could not find anything in Marshalls (or several other stores we stopped in) that was suitable for the weather. Ugh. So yeah, we went in out of necessity and even though we didn’t make a purchase this Marshalls is worthy of a second visit. It’s large, well stocked, clean and I noticed plenty of cash registers open which is always nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back, unless I was looking for long sleeves.
