This would be a decent choice for food in the Palmer House hotel if it were open other times of day. At least in here the service was quick and the seats are comfortable, but it is much more of a lounge/bar environment and only open in the evenings. It’s dark here, so I wouldn’t recommend some uptight business meeting in this space, but chatting with coworkers in a more happy hour type way — it’s great. They also had some reasonably priced drinks, but the food was way overpriced. Still, a better choice than Lockwood if you can’t leave the hotel.

I love this place! The strawberry basil drink is great and our bar tender Anis is very awesome. He’s been our bartender on three different occasions and never failed. The food is delicious and the whole hotel is very beautiful. If you’re looking for something more formal the Lockwood is also very nice and in the hotel.

1-star because you apparently have to give at least one. This place is one of the 3 worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had in my life. First of all, it’s the worst excuse for a food selection that for a restaurant bar of this«stature». Secondly, once you do order one of the very limited menu items, which will take at least an hour to put an order in, you will then wait another hour to receive your subpar concoction. The only reason I stuck around was because I was staying at the attached hotel and it was absolutely pouring rain. If I had one last meal to have, it very well might be at Potter’s though, because the experience won’t ever end.

Very tasty po-boy sandwich. Service was fast and polite. They have multiple televisions to watch X Games, Stanley cup, or whatever suits your fancy. Pizza crust was undercooked and the«BBQ» chicken skins were… well, not good nor BBQ. Overall, we’d go there gain if staying the Palmer House and wanted to relax with good sports.

Ever been to a bar where there are 3 other people with full drinks and have the bartender COMPLETELY ignore you and blatantly PRETEND he doesn’t see that you want to cash out? Well you need to go see Eberto/Bonto at Potter’s Bar!(Not sure what his real name is since I’ve received both) Management — take note. We have ALL of our clients stay at Palmer.

Lovely quite, cozy bar with great cocktails, wine, and small plates. Came here after the hustle and bustle of the holiday parade, and what a find! Cozy chairs and dark wood make you feel like you could sit there and sip brandy for hours.

Located inside palmar house. More adult crowd. Seat yourself but good luck flagging down a waitress. They serve drinks and food late. We got white sangria which wasn’t very refreshing but definitely was strong. We orders chips which were stale and the pizza which was surprisingly good. All in all okay place to stumble into late if you’re staying at palmar house and get late night beer and fried food.

OK bar in the hotel. Pricey, but it’s a downtown bar. Not a great vibe, more just people staying at the hotel. We were there for the House Theatre Magic Parlour show. That was five stars… this place? Not so much… Manhattans were good alcohol wise, but they had crappy cherries which really ruins it. When you’re spending that kind of money on a drink in what should be an upscale bar, you expect that they have the right ingredients to justify a price like that. Go get some italian cherries!

I stopped in here for a simple late dinner after failing to get any eye contact from anyone at the Lockwood. Not much better here. Solo women travelers are getting used to much better treatment. Service was robotic, even though there was no crowd. The pizza had nice ingredients but seemed tired and overdone. It seemed like a good place to nurse a beer and watch the game.
