Its called FUZE now btw. Everyone here looks like Snookie. Complete with leopard skinned mini dresses and hairspray. Its Chicago. Where do you people come from? This place charged my buddy(and no one else) $ 10 and then made him tuck in his button up shirt. Inside: no one else paid $ 10 and everyone looked like they rolled out of a dumpster in Queens. Not to mention its $ 8 a drink. Gold coast prices for a jersey shore, biased experience.

I was supposed to go stop by skybar for a friend’s birthday. I got there about midnight, and there was no line to get in. They were charging cover, but I dont know how much since birthday attendees were free of charge. We walked in and the downstairs bar was near empty. We went upstairs to the dance floor, and it was way too packed. We couldnt move and they were having someone direct people through the door way for when to enter and when to exit. We stayed for maybe ten minutes then made our way to lakeview. This bar was hot in about 2009, but not anymore.

not sure why there’s so much hate against this club, personally I really enjoy it! I’ve been about 4 or 5 times and it’s always packed and they have great music. the general crowd can be a bit Jersey Shore-ish but I’m not there to hate, I’m there to have fun. wristband specials are the way to go and the bartenders are always really nice. the only true issue that really really sucks(and merits a full drop of one star) is the fact that parking SUCKS! you can either circle the area for 40 minutes and end up parking 7 blocks away or valet an at the end of the night wait 40 minutes for them to finally bring the car around. seriously. other than that though, I really enjoy it!

I went for a birthday and the place couldn’t spring for a larger table for all of us? We had a table for 10 when there were about 25 of us… really? And I’m sorry I don’t know about you but I’m not a fan for paying $ 9 for watered down drinks in tiny plastic glasses. You really just have to stick to beer here… ughhh never again

This place was just ok. There wasnt a lot of people here which could be a good thing but it made the experience a little boring. Of course there was no parking but I knew that would happen. This place could have potential, having multiple floors. I also didnt like that the drinks differ in price depending on what bartender you order from… hmmmm someone is trying to make a quick couple bucks lol. I feel like this place is a last resort club to go to. The only good thing was there was no line outside. haha

The good: They get two stars for the awesome bartender that was hooking me and my friends up lol. If you get a package for drinks its not pricey, but then again good luck getting a drink. The bad: Its in Lincoln Park so good luck finding parking. This is place is so, so tiny, its hard to move around in, they do have two floors but it doesnt really make a difference. So all in all. You have been warned lol.

I loved the music but the people there were eh… As a friend put it, they were all guidos and guidettes(did I even spell that right?!?). I had a couple(ok… way too many) shots and I thought they were pretty generous with them. The bartender was muchomucho niceee and even did a few shots with us. Always a plus huh? I think this place claims to have 3 floors on their website… which is sort-of true but on a Saturday night, the first floor was nearly empty and the third floor was blocked off because of something(private party?) so if you want to be where the rest of the people are, that leaves you with one smallish floor in the middle. I guess I wouldn’t mind coming back again but ehhhhhhhh.

Ehhhhh Skybar was not for me. The only reason i went here once was because I was coming for a birthday party. I decided to get the open bar package til one which was about $ 25 i think. I got a drink and it was all juice. I must have had like 15 cran-vodkas that night. I was goin to the bathroom every 2 min. That place was really small and it was hard to move around. I don’t think i’ll ever be back.

Skybar is a shining example of why you shouldn’t have a club in LP. There’s just no room. Either this place is empty or it’s too packed. The only reason I go there is out of respect for my friends who have birthdays there once a year, although I guess I could just stop being friends with them on principle.

The only forgivable reason why someone should enter this place is because of some poorly-planned«party,’ thus this accounts for why I had to set foot into Skybar. The place is the average, cookie cutter lounge-club-bar that attracts the same type of people. My buddies and I had to wait in a line of 10 similarly-dressed guys and two orange girls to get in, and one of us said«I bet they reached a quota inside of guys with wings and skulls on their shirts.» The downstairs bar was empty, not a single person was sitting at the bar. The bartender was even beckoning people to stop by. The upstairs bar connects a back room to a «dance floor,» an open area consisting of no more than a few square feet. The back room has a tv with flames on it, as if it was a fireplace. Very impressive and luxurious… However, the only redeeming quality of Skybar is the waitresses. I’ve never had more attentive, friendly and accurate service at a nightspot than here. The staff was genuinely friendly, outgoing, and easy to converse with. No pushing of shots or bottle services. The music here also wasn’t anything to write home about: B96 and Kiss 103.5 hits up until we left around midnight. And, although this place caters to a clientele that enjoys appearing on the sleazy side, we saw members of the Chad and Trixie crowd in plaid shorts, flip flops, and too-tight t-shirts with innuendo phrases on them. Ah well, it is Lincoln Park, after all. Come here if you still like to party it up like you tried to when you were 17 in some warehouse with strobe lights.

I should probably preface this review by letting you know that this is NOT my scene. I probably like the things that people looking for this scene would hate. Anyway, $ 20 gets you all you can drink from 10 – 1(ok, not sure what time it started but we got there at 10:30). Not sure whether this was worth it, but it was fun and drinks were ok. I particularly liked the downstairs area with the booths. Very laid back down there. We hung out upstairs too, which was ok but loud, crowded and more eh. The bartenders upstairs were really stingy with the liquor — my vodka soda was mostly soda. Not sure I’ll be rushing back, but I definitely had a better time than I expected!

Though, I’ll never come back here due to the cliché club atmosphere I will say the bartenders definitely hooked it up when it came to drinks. Believe it or not, the drinks weren’t over priced… I GOTWHAT I PAIDFOR! Every drink I ordered was consistent: strong and cheap! Oh and if you’re looking for love…

Came here for a friend’s birthday. This place reminds me of the bars on Green st in Champaign like Clybourn and Kam’s except cleaner. It’s true what James said about the dance floor: when I was dancing I felt like I was at a high school social; hardly any men to be found! But at least I didn’t have to worry about some random groping like I might if I did go to a bar on Green st. Anyhow I had a lot of fun that night. Pros: * Intimacy of 3rd floor for private parties. * Friendly dj who watched my expensive camera after the battery died and was too drunk to go to the car and put it in a trunk where it would have met its fate of being stolen! * I didn’t get spilled on! * $ 5 drinks Cons: *Unfriendly bar staff. *When we ordered a drink package the cola was flat, the pineapple juice tasted spoiled, and the orange juice watered down which led me to believe it was poorly mixed from a can of frozen mix you get at the grocery. *I heard Rihanna’s «Disturbia» 4 maybe 5 times. Now I get this is supposed to be the kind of club that circulates the top 40, but it wouldn’t hurt to play other hip hop/pop songs that currently circulate the radio or did at some point. You’ve got 20 years of music from these genres to choose from. I didn’t mind it that much that night cos I was already drunk an hour into the night but any other time is unforgiveable. If I wanted to listen to KIISFM I could have stayed home to do that. All in all I think this place has potential. I’d probably come here again(every once in awhile is ok) but only if I am already buzzed simply for the music factor.

I went here for my joint birthday with a few other Scorpios and had a pretty good time. I think the funniest thing that happened was while standing on the third floor balcony looking down to the dancefloor, I noticed it was jam packed with women! On the floor and in the windows, dancing all over and having a great time. I wondered where places like this were when I was single! So I went downstairs and saw the real lay of the land. All the guys were ordering shots of courage at the bar and staring out into the sea of women. It was like high school. None of this tells you anything about the place, so I’ll move on. I have to say that this place is like every other place you’re going to find on the strip. The same recycled pop songs, overpriced drinks, and douche bags that every other night club has. They do have a pretty nifty lighting system, which is a plus. The Saturday night DJ accepts but does not play requests, which is a minus. All in all Skybar, I give you a 3. Nothing really there to draw me back except proximity. Nothing so bad as to keep me away.

Walking in to this place Halloween night, i didn’t know what to expect…$ 5.00 cover charge, $ 6.00 cranberry vodka, top 40 tunes, young fun lively crowd, but it was waaaaaaay too crowded, hardly any room to walk around, plus all the unnecessary smoke they had going on, made it hard to see, and BREATH also Nothing was coming up in pictures. when you 1st walk in theres like a more relaxed bar style area, up stairs high cells loud music-theres a stage by the windows where all the hoochies were shaking their things-along with my friends and i hehe the top floor was probably my favorite, good for people watching lounging about… i think theres a washroom up there too, in the back more… didnt check it out there was a line… i think i maybe back here if im ever in the area, i guess :)

I went here a few weekends ago for a group of friend’s birthday parties. They had a premium open bar from 10−1am which is better than most places. The open bar had most drinks but if you wanted redbull/vodka it was an extra $ 2 for the redbull! I had a good amount to drink and so did everyone else there. There was a little drama outside but I won’t get into that. The music was loud and the bartenders were quick with the drinks. The place is not huge nor is it small. 3 floors but no one was on the 3rd other than if you needed to use the bathroom. Overall it wasn’t a bad place. Maybe a few years ago I would enjoy myself more but with age, you prefer more chill relax places.

My friend is getting married! So she had her bachelorette party last night. This was our second stop of the evening. I would say for me personally it was more like 2 stars, just because it’s not my kind of scene anymore. But I can look at it objectively and see that it’s 3 stars for others. It reminded me a lot of college; skimpy(I’m trying to be kind here :0)) clothes, lots of really drunk people, lots of dancing and deafening music. Which I completely was a part of in college! But now that I’m 26, it’s not how I usually spend my weekends. But like I said, I can appreciate the opportunity to let loose and throw it back to the college days for a bachelorette party! There were strobe lights, laser lights, fog and a dj up on a pseudo stage and mirrors of course. Make of that what you will. Moving on. The music they played reminded me a lot of my time abroad in AU while in college. They loved techo music and remixes at all their clubs. Very similar in design too. Fog, multi-levels etc etc But I digress… The people that worked there seemed nice and I don’t know what exactly happened but we didn’t get charged a cover. I’m guessing it was because we had a bride to be with a veil on. So that was nice of them! I had drunk before arriving here so I had a beer for $ 5 and we had a round of lemon drop shots that were really tasty. Sometimes I guess they can taste like a lemon cleaner but these were perfect. $ 10 minimum on credit cards just fyi. All in all, I know the bride had a good time so that’s what matters! We danced, laughed, and I’m happy about that. I did have a good time. But I don’t think it had much to do with Skybar. WIll I go back? No. I can laugh, dance and be happy with my friends anywhere!

I agree with Kevin M. that it’s trying too hard. It’s a little something here… a hint or dash of SKEEZE? Nevertheless, here’s my point: Um. Ew. Not my first choice for a dance club. To whore it out for the night, sure. An extra star cuz drinks and cover is cheap. You’ll be needing your«I’m over this shit,» face, cuz I was rolling my eyes most of the night.

I think this place has a lot of potential, to sound like Tyra on Top Model. The dancers in the window are a little cheesy, but it kind of adds a weirdness that I think more clubs should embrace. The dance floor and music carry this theme through, playing remixes of popular dance/pop/r&b and using their lasers and strobe lights to full capabilities. It’s mildly disorienting but also makes you feel like you’re in that J. Lo video. People here seemed to just be looking to dance and have fun, rather than impress each other with expensive champagne and black suits. Don’t get me wrong, I like nicer clubs(not that expensive drinks and black suits make a nice club — almost always such clubs are just kind of psuedo-nice trashy), but there’s a soft spot in my heart for cheap student clubs and their lack of pretentiousness. The biggest issue with Skybar is that nobody seems to really know about it. The downstairs was empty, the middle floor had an ok crowd, and I couldn’t quite figure out what the top floor was about aside from bathrooms and a few tables. VIP? Unclear, and also empty. However, if more people know about it and start coming, the dance floor is going to be miserable — it’s not big enough! It’s still an ok size, but with three floors, they could have more dancing space. The bathrooms are going to be a similar issue. They are tiny. It will be interesting to see how this goes…
