Solstice Sunglasses

The great selection of glasses ALMOST made up for the embarrassingly bad customer service… Order online so as not to deal with the dark-​haired, tattooed witch!

Went into the store yesterday and experienced sub-​par service. We didn’t get a hello, we were never spoke with about our selection, and when I went to go pay they didn’t have back stock of the glasses I wanted and the service around that was just disappointing. The sales clerk was not engaging, enlightening or otherwise enjoyable. Overall the experience left a sad feeling. For the cost of the sunglasses and the high end selection I expected a modicum of sales and atmosphere. Boo.

I love this store. I was set on a pair of prada baroque sunglasses in tortoise shell but nobody had them in Chicago. Nordstrom had them but only in black. Le sad face! I thought I’d try this place since they have a pretty nice selection of high end designer shades and behold– I found them. Ha!
They have a very nice selection of designer shades. I want more and will have to come back for the Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga I tried on because they are gorge on me. I can’t help myself– it’s a slippery slope my friends… a dangerous addiction. The sales staff here: so nice, charming, no sales pressure nor hovering over you as you try on everything. AND they are extremely helpful, letting me know that I can always give them a call if I have trouble with my shades like for adjustments and such. Also giving me useful cleaning and care info for my H H H Hot new shades.

I received sunglasses for a Christmas gift that didn’t fit as well as I wanted them to. Employee, Zac, spent a great deal of time helping me find a pair of new glasses that worked for me. His service was phenomenal, and I would return in a heartbeat.

Stopped in this little sunglasses shop in the «Bloomies» building after brunch to pick out my birthday gift — and was impressed with the great selection and wonderful service. I had originally picked out a pair of glasses at the Chanel website, but once I went in to try them on, the sales woman brought over many different brands in similar shapes. I ended up with a great pair of Gucci glasses that were about a hundred less than the first pair I was set on (I was really impressed that she was bringing over glasses in all price ranges, not just trying to sell me the most expensive pair she could). I love my new shades and am also excited to check out the restaurant the sales woman recommended to me as I was leaving (Cuatro — apparently this place has great drinks and large portions of good Latin fair… I’ll let you all know when I check it out :)!
