I visited this store Sunday, 4÷5÷15. Slow and poor customer service. Starbucks needs to monitor/retrain employee Pamela. I stood in line for about 10 minutes while another barista serviced a couple in front of me who purchased 3 drinks. It took a long time to help them but Pamela ignored that I was in line and that the other employee needed help. Pamela straightened the boxed drinks, in the front display cooler. Meanwhile, customers piled up behind me until there were 7 ticked off people behind me. Pamela finally turned around saw all the people and walked away! I purchased 2 frappucinos which take time. I was there a total of 20 minutes. Pamela never returned and customers were all shaking their heads. Customers aren’t her priority. I’ve been there on other occasions and noticed unprofessional behavior such as inappropriate language and conversations with other employees. The south loop Jewel/Osco location of this Starbucks serves an upscale population. We deserve better than this and are used to professional customer service.

Update: I had high hopes for the«New» Starbucks inside Jewel after Dominicks left. Unfortunately the service is slow and they always seem to run out of stuff. I wanted to pick up a hot sandwich before work and they told me that their oven wasn’t working. You cannot pay using the app on your phone because they don’t have a scanner. Also, I’m sorry to say but the manager always looks so annoyed. I’m afraid to order my coffee when she is at the cash register. Even when I shop at Jewel I avoid drinking coffee here and have to travel to a nearby Starbucks.
