OMG don’t expect real english. Or at least comprehension beyond the basic ingredients. While I’ve never gotten sick by this store and everything I’ve had has been ok, I will say this… I called back to thank the sandwich maker for the suggestion of chipotle mayo on my Philly Cheese Steak. However, when doing so I encountered suck a language barrier. I asked for a LITTLE jardinière. What I got was so over powering that I could barely eat the sandwich. Calling the store to tell them how hot is was so they could was so they could warn the other customers I was greeted with a lot of foreign gibberish and no actual recourse or communication before I was hung up on for not placing an order. Clearly there’s a communication gap here. But the food is rather edible. As long as you understand the risks. Yikes, SOHOT.

24 hours Bullet proof glass as a sad reminder you are not in oak park anymore. But they are just as good as any Chicago location and you can still get free refills. But I wouldn’t stick around to eat after dark, no telling what characters will be rolling in,

I like going to this subway. It’s conveniently located and open 24 hours. Most of the people that eat there really aren’t that sketchy but it is a 24hr Subway located on a main street by four different bus stops, there are bound to be all sorts of people that come through. Police officers frequent this location because its right in between the Oak Park Village police station and the Chicago district 15 police station. The workers are super nice and quick. The tall glass barrier doesn’t bother me at all. As long as I can still see what they’re putting on my sandwich I could care less. Also the barrier does open people.

Have you ever walked into a place and thought am I on candid camera?! When I first walked in here I was completely shocked by the fact that there is a bullet proof window when your placing your order(wait… huh… really?!). I guess I didn’t expect it as it’s across the street from the suburb of Oak Park, but after observing the behavior of the shady characters that were ordering before me, I totally got it. Besides that my sandwich was decent, the veggies were fresh, the bread was just baked, they have a $ 5 value meal, the place was clean, and the workers were friendly. On my next return I plan to have my bullet proof vest, you know to coordinate with the place JK.
