Taqueria Los Comales

Horrible!!! Dried up burnt meat, tortillas are not cooked, no free drink refills. Don’t waste your money with this place, it is a joke!!!

I have been to los comalas a lot i love their gallon tub of jalapeños. Carrots, and coliflower i also love the babacoa tocos, but the this time i was not very happy with the server she couldnt get our order correct, and she was not very pleasent unlike the other servers who stopped by our table to see if we needed anything, i know ill be nack there but i think i will try a new place just to compare

Horchata was AMAZING. I got 2 steak tacos, and although they are small, they are WONDERFUL. I will DEF be coming back!!!

a good expierence this time, well done comales.

Drive thru service sucks!!! Waited more than 5 minutes for someone to take my order!!!

Tacos are good. Not worth the price. I still love their cebollitas. But over all tacos are good.

I hate to do this but I have to take away some stars from this location. The prices have increased naturally, but nothing else has increased in turn. My $ 2 drink used to be huge, now it’s like a kid’s cup. I ordered a burrito and the cheese inside wasn’t even melted. The burrito was actually cold.
It’s convenient because there’s a drive through, but in this neighborhood there are too many other, better options for this place to retain the five stars I’d once given them.

The restaurant seems a bit overpriced for the quantity and quality of food. I’ll rather go to a less «casual» place where I can actually enjoy my food and be a bit cheaper.
It also took ten minutes for us to get served by a waiter after we were seated. Bathrooms were in bad condition. I think this place is overrated.

I used to love this place for a quick bite while in Chicago. It used to be tasty fast Mexican food but now they have a hostess to seat you? It’s kind of amusing. They have a long line of people waiting to be seated while the hostess is trying to figure out where to seat people while the place is less than halfway full. It took way longer than usual for the waitress to take our order and even longer to get our food. I really hope management gets themselves together and return things the way they used to be.

This place is a great place to stop by after a night of drinking. It stays open late and the tacos are delicious. Chips and salsa are not complimentary (or at least not whenever I came). Alcohol is also available so you can enjoy a beverage along with your food.

The worst tacos al pastor I’ve ever had. Their tacos al pastor are low quality beef that they cook for asada tacos, and they then sprinkle some powder food coloring for the low quality meat to appear al pastor. The meat itself was cold and felt cebacious in my mouth. I will not be returning, the tacos were nauseating.

AWEsome. Agua de Horchata con fresas! Thats all that is needed to say.

Sad to say, but there was a lot more wrong today than right.
Twice stated that we wanted the tacos with only one tortilla each, but every single one came with two tortillas. Also, the cebollitas arrived at the table already cold. And to top it all, we found an inch-​long shard of metal something in the cup of limes. Not particularly dangerous, but still.
I guess the one extra star is based on our previous enjoyment here, but it’s not likely we’ll be back anytime soon.

The place got pretty crowded when we came here. The parking lot is very tiny so just take not of that when dinning into this restaurant. The service at the bar was very slow. We got our food before we got our beers, so we weren’t happy about that.
The food is okay. Not sure if we will return.

So what happened to this place?
no no now I know this wasn’t the best place in town, but they were decent.
I always had the torta de milanesa de pollo and they were good.
Sunday morning about 3:30 am and a friend and I got some food to go after the bar. We ordered some tacos and 2 tortas de milanesa.
The tacos were bad but the tortas were nasty.
So bad can’t even describe them, partially because I have no idea what the meat was supposed to be. Meat was kind of a bad quality chicken spam mixed with bread and grilled, nasty I tell you
Los comales you let me down bad, so bad, not coming back no matter how drunk I get. I trust me, this time I wished I had been really drunk so not to have tasted this food.

Tacos are good! But come on get some workers who can speak and understand both English and Spanish. I ordered in Spanish because the waitress only understood spanish. It was a carry out order. So when i got home ya!! Surprise! Wrong! She didnt understand the order. So no mattet what I spoke, those workers need to go back to school and learn both english and spanish. Anyway I did let them know what happened they were very nice about it they wanted to give us another order of food on them. of course I Refused and just said thank you and be a Little more Careful.

I love the steak and chicken tacos here! Get them with cilantro and onion with lime. Sooooo good. Also have really good horchata. :)

I’m still waiting for the manager to call me back … as of almost 24 hours ago.
We ordered a platter and asked for about 10 veggies tacos as part of it. Little did we know, because nobody mentioned it and this isn’t the norm, their veggies tacos are literally just avocado wrapped in 2 tortillas. That’s it. Then you get onions and cilantro on the side. We were pretty pissed when we got back to our location to find out that this was what veggie tacos meant at this place so we called to say WTF. They promised a manager would call back but that never happened. I don’t even think an avocado is actually a veg? :) Seriously though, if I had wanted avocado tacos, I would have asked for avocado tacos. They also charge $ 2 for sour cream and $ 2 for cheese so basically we spent about $ 14 for an avocado and some tortillas (and luckily the sour cream and cheese that helped the tacos taste like something other than pure avocado) that I could’ve just as easily picked up at Jewel.
They get 2 stars because I didn’t try the meat tacos so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Great selection of entrees, tacos, tortas, burritos, etc. I have been coming to this particular Los Comales for years. The restaurant layout has changed throughout the years. The quality of food and service remains the same… great.
