Best(delivery) pad thai on the north side! They always deliver hot, savory, perfectly sauced noodles. Egg rolls, soups, and curries are also delicious.

This tiny little hole in the wall has amazing Thai food at the most reasonable prices. I’m never disappointed! Pretty sure it’s BYOB, the space is nothing fancy and the chairs are not the most comfortable, point being you don’t want to take a date there to impress them or to get some fancy Thai cocktails. But if you just want amazing Thai, this is the joint. Also, Thai ice bowls are ridiculously good. I’d recommend any flavor with Tapioca balls, a staple when I go there. Watermelon and coconut are out of control.

Good portion sizes and cheap prices. Everything that my boyfriend and I ordered was tasty.

I ordered take-out and was less than impressed. The pad thai had this overly garlicky taste, I couldn’t even finish it. On the up side, the portions are huge, quality is just not great. I also ordered egg rolls which were amazing! I usually don’t like them but these were great. I tried a friend’s crab rangoon and was not very impressed with that either.

Walked in and ordered one curry dish to go. There were only two other people already waiting for food and one table after me. I waited for 30 minutes before asking very politely if my food was almost ready. They said yes without checking with the kitchen. I sat back down and then asked again 10 minutes later. They very reluctantly asked the kitchen and came back and said it would be ready soon. When I said I wanted my money back because it was taking to long, they laughed in my face. VERYVERY rude service. Will NEVER go here again.

I have eaten Thai Bowl numerous times in the past and never had problems with the food or service before but today was different. 1. The server spilled sweet and sour sauce on my phone.(I brushed it off in the beginning, but then things started to add up.) 2. She brought the wrong food item. I know I pronounced the dish correctly since I speak Thai. She did not ask me to clarify my order.(I didn’t say anything because I, myself, am a server so I understand that mistakes happen and I didn’t mind eating the item she brought over.) 3. Also, as a DePaul University student, I have always been able to show my school ID and get a discount. This time the lady said that I could not get the discount unless I paid with cash. I have gotten the discount when I’ve paid with credit card in the past, so I wonder when they changed their policy. 4. She rushed my lunch parter and I into paying(probably because it was the end of her shift and she wanted to leave; I saw the other server come in). She said we had to pay by 4. At first, I thought it was because she had to enter in the«special» before a certain time but then I remembered that it was not strictly a lunch special.(As a server, I have 99% of the time waited for my last table to leave before I picked up a signed check. I would never tell them they have to pay before a certain time just because I wanted to leave.) 5. My stomach has continued to feel unsettled even after taking Tums.(I don’t believe myself to have a weak stomach.) I would recommend going to Noodles in the Pot close by on Halsted. They have an amazing lunch special and the food there has never made me sick.

I’ve had this Thai Bowl twice now. Had it delivered once and ordered in once. The delivery took far too long(hour 15 when they said around 40 minutes, we don’t even live far). I had cashew chicken, it was very boring. For whatever reason I decided to go again with a friend today and got the lunch special: Pad See-Ew with crab rangoon. The waitress was very uninterested and the place was empty. The food was again very bland. I’m not sure where these positive reviews of the crab rangoon are coming from but my roommate, girlfriend and I all agreed it is pretty horrible. I’ve never had bad crab rangoon before this. I do not recommend this place

Food is good, but depending on what server is working, they always attempt to change to rules. For example, one day they decided that you have to pay cash if using the student discount, despite that not being written in the menu anywhere. One time I decided to follow in my friend’s footsteps and order a two-flavor smoothie, but they said they don’t do that anymore(despite my friend getting it three days earlier). The next time, they tried saying that you can’t smoothies at all with the Thai Bowl special but quickly gave in as soon as I said I had been getting one over a year… Pick some rules and stick with them!

Total fan of this thai food, little nook of a restaurant. I usually get take out, but the food is pretty good! Best on the menu is for sure Pad Woonsen, its a must try! Big portions too, which is a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it :)

Slow, disinterested, wait staff, at about 630 on Saturday night. The place was ¾ empty. Luckily we weren’t in a rush, but we were hungry. Decent chicken pad Thai. Portions were generous. I’d try it again.

As a college student, this place has been a favorite since I was a freshman. Decent prices, close to campus and the train, and so good. I love the Asian Beef and Noodles, Chicken Fried Noodles, and the Pad See Ewe. It makes me hungry just to think about it.

I’m at a loss as to how many stars to give this place because I had two vastly different experiences at this place in the last month. I came here at the end of March one day around 6pm on a weekday. I was warmly greeted by a gentleman, given water immediately, the server took my order and I had some of the best pad see ew I’ve ever had along with a terrific Thai iced tea. I was by myself and was reading a book while I ate. When I finished my meal, the nice man who greeted me said I could stay and keep reading if I wanted. I thought that was terrific but declined(I’m an actor working at the Greenhouse and needed to get to rehearsal). I talked this place up for the last couple of weeks. And then, I went there this past Friday. 5:30. I walked in. The nice gentleman wasn’t there but there had to be about 8 – 10 college or high school students there(really can’t tell the difference anymore). Apparently, they were all having one of this place’s drinks that require a blender. There were two girls behind the counter, one making drinks and the other girl taking orders. I sat down myself(since no one noticed me standing there) and sat and sat and sat. After 10 minutes, with no greeting, no acknowledgement that I was there, I left. So, to the owner, you should re-train your staff and/or hire more people. I was the only other person in the restaurant except for the group of loud students and I was ignored. If that’s your target audience, fine. But you lost a customer who would’ve been a regular, who is now telling people to avoid this place and who, had told his cast on their next two-show day to have dinner there, have now suggested we find another place.

Came here with a friend for dinner. Played it safe with the chicken pad thai, and on a whim I ordered the mango«Thai Bowl Ice» — essentially a smoothie with boba(tapioca bubbles). Everything was amazing. The pad thai was wonderful — hot, delicious, and just enough. The mango smoothie was perfect! Cold and refreshing with the freshest cut mango placed on top. I want one of those daily! A little small and lacking in atmosphere, but still a fun and delicious place.

We were lost in the area and found this thai food joint. I ordered a pad thai and shared with my husband. It was a hot day and there was no AC in the restaurant. I have to listen my husband’s complain while having my pad thai. Pad thai was a little bit too moist to me. I personal like it a little dry. I deducted 2 stars for the restaurant environment and husband did not enjoy the pad thai at the all

Great for when you’re really hungry, hungover, and just want something quick ! The pad Thai is really good and they open all the windows when it’s warm out. Definitely a go to when we can’t decide what we want to eat.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Despite the fact that there weren’t many customers the waitress seemed stressed and couldn’t handle her job. The food was ok. Even my son said so. The smoothie that he ordered was so bland that he didn’t drink it. At least they didn’t charge us for it. I had Tom Yum with chicken which was good. My Crazy Noodles were fine. A bit too greasy. My son’s Pad Thai with Tofu was ok. Wanting to give 2 ½ stars.

$ 10 min purchase for credit card use. Jade Noodle — single portion for price($ 9). Beef had an after taste. Just right chili. Too sweet. Stay away from beef! Thai Fried Rice with Tofu — vegetarian choices may be better. When did fried rice have 2 slices of tomatoes? The same brown sweet sauce from Jade Noodle is used on fried rice. Rice absorbed the sweetness so it wasn’t as bad as Jade Noodle. Service was awful. Everyone at counter yet no one notices a self seated patron even though I started unloading my bag on the table. Anything that you see on the board or the wall is NO longer available. Walk one block east, and maybe 1 – 2 blocks north for better food.
