Very good service, diverse design on the walls. A close to perfect Corner Bar. I wish they were a little cheaper, $ 40.00 for four drinks isn’t that hot.

Dive bars in Chicago rarely get friendly than The Corner Bar. Located in the Holstein Park neighborhood of Bucktown, we were greeted immediately upon walking in the door by the friendly bartender. Beer selection while not extensive was solid and ridiculously cheap and although the place is tiny, you can usually find a seat. The people are welcoming and the regular events such as potlucks, game and holiday parties, trivia nights and karaōke are worth a visit. Definitely a locals bar, parking can be difficult but bike parking is across the street.

A great way to experience the neighborhood! We came in from Philadelphia not expecting much and were greeted like we lived there for years.

This place is delightful. I needed some place to cut loose for cheap, and it didn’t disappoint. $ 1.75 beers is almost unheard of in the city. My friends plan on coming back again soon. My bartender was great and so were the people in the bar.

I sit here with a glass half full(half empty. You choose the meaning) of the nectar of the Gods and a pungent aroma of the finest perfume wafting from the front door of this great establishment. One thing comes to mind. Friends! That’s why we are here. Drinking beers, havin’ fifty laughs, and chugging 2 dollar PBRs. Get your ass here and forget your worries bc no one gives a fuck. Cheers to fears!

Great little bar with some of the lowest drink prices in town. Everybody is always friendly, customers and bartenders alike. It’s the first and last place I take all my out-of-town friends when we go out. It’s an old school joint that televises all of Chicago’s sports teams, has karaōke, a couple vid games, and the funniest men’s $h!tter I’ve ever seen.. .. ANYWHERE Basically, if you can’t have a good time here, you’re incapable of having a good time.. .. . ANYWHERE.

The perfect little neighborhoody joint that will hopefully remain unknown to the general public. I first started coming here years ago when my friend lived across the street, but recently returned with my female and canine companions. It’s extremely cozy and surprisingly clean for an aged dive off the main drag. They are equipped with treats for their canine visitors and serve free food for Bears games! Major props for that. Heed warning, however: canine curfew is 10:30 p.m. and they will enforce it on you, despite the bar not being at full capacity. Also, the non-crap beer tends to get a little pricy compared to other similar joints. Still, all in all a fun little place to relax and have a few dranks. Another star due to this being the first stop of one of the tamale guys(blue cooler), so his food is still piping hot and fresh!

Total dive. Guys screaming at the TV or the bowling video game, I couldn’t tell which. Decent beer selection but not worth the time.

For the record, I truly loathe anybody that gives this place less than five stars. Don’t listen to them. $ 1.50 pints of PBR. Thursday night karaōke. Derek. Need I say more? When I first moved to Chicago I spent weeknights at the CB and weekends at swankier bars in Bucktown and Wicker Park. Eventually I realized how stupid that was and the Corner Bar basically turned into my living room. CHECKITOUT!

I came here after a long night chasing leads with Marty. Still no sign of Reggie Ledoux. The beer was ice cold and they didn’t serve any of that snooty stuff. You can’t beat $ 1.50 Pabst every night of the week. I would try to sleep, but the incessant howling of my past would never allow it. Good thing they stay open until 3 on Saturdays.

What can I say about the Corner Bar? It’s like the Bucktown neighborhoods version of Cheers. Friendly Regulars, terrific drink specials and did I mention Trivia Tuesdays and Karaōke Thursdays? Check it out, you’ll be glad that you did!

Solid dive bar. The malort is always flowing. They have really good drink specials though the week. The bartenders are awesome, and it doesn’t get too horribly crowded. The regulars are all really nice. They also do a lot of different events.
