Stumbled in here unexpectedly best mistake of our lifes. Carlos and Ellen are great people that sure know how to welcome new customers and show them a good time. Made our visit from California so much better. Hope to see you guys soon! Ps Their Tuesday wings special is the best and their sauce buff-a-que was amazing. It is a must try!!!

The best thing about this bar it’s the service, followed closely by the wings. Tirrell, Brittany, Ellen, and the rest of the team offer amazing service with a small town dive bar vibe. If your looking for comforting no frills bar food, with daily drink specials and $ 3 fireballs, this is the place for you. Only thing that could use some love is the food from the pasta joint,(the food it’s offered in the bar), but this review is for The other side, great local place!

This bar smells like a horrible auauauau stench. Décor sux ass and the worst food ever. Bad place, bad scene. Note to the owners, get a grip and stop being fake.

My friend and I came here on a whim and OMG, what a great decision! Kate, our main bartender was super knowledgeable, funny, and smart, and really like KNOWSHERSHIT. Awesome beer, great food, awesome service. You will never regret coming here.

I’ve walked by this bar several times but hadn’t ever stopped in before this past weekend. A solid neighborhood feel and several beers on draft and by the bottle. Also various cocktails, though I would probably stick to a craft beer. When I was there, they played a lot of 90s music, and there were some video games people were playing. Kind of random, but the overall feel felt friendly and a place you’d go to grab a drink before or after whatever your main plans are.

Music a bit too loud for just basic chatter and the dartboard by the door makes it difficult to get in that narrow little space… yet those are my only complaints. The staff is… lets put it this way, I was on a date and id rather have spent it with the waitress than my actual date, she was ten times cooler. Any girl cool enough to where a shirt with a cheeseburger on it is easily one of the worlds favorite people. Loved the atmosphere, the staff was super helpful and food was excellent. Plus great drink options. Great place to spend a Saturday night. I had been here before a few years ago and it was packed and not as friendly, but the new re-modeling and feel to it made this place easily a hidden gem. Great place, will definitely be back… I hope cheeseburger waitress is still there(and single!)

This bar is such a hidden gem. I’ve lived in the area for two years and only recently discovered it. From a laid back environment to great specials, it has quickly become my go to spot. I can really only speak to the items I’ve ordered on the daily specials. How can you go wrong with 4 $ cheeseburgers, 10 $ large pizzas, 3 $ drafts, Etc?! Speedy and friendly service, bar food at great prices and portions, and a variety of craft brews keep me coming back for more.

This place rules. In order of why this business is 5 stars. The one and only reason that should actually matter is customer service. This comes from the top down. Taylor(owner) is a top notch stand up guy. He cares about the place and its patrons. Moving down to managers(Keith rules), bar tenders, & servers(Maureen is great. I knew we were getting a server, what I didn’t know, is that we were getting a new friend.) Next, atmosphere. The Otherside has gone through a great renovation. Simple clean look with chalk board walls, plenty of big TVs with any major game playing(and open to requests) large bar area, good amount of high tops. A TouchTunes Jukebox that has any song you want to play, Buck Hunter, and a variety of free board games. And no bar is complete without the consumables. Liquids are a standard full bar. Great prices and always a decent variety of draught and bottled beers. Full spirits and wine. Specials everyday of the week. Can’t say Much more… Food is the best«bar food». Standard issue fried, but all tastes amazing. Cheese Curds, Southwest Egg Rolls, Mini Corn Dogs, Tots, and Waffle fries are some of my favorite. The wings are out off this world, fall off the bone meaty and saucy! Contender for the best in town. I have been visiting The Otherside for years and have no plans to stop any time soon. Please keep up the great work.

The Other Side, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways: 1. There’s always some sort of drink special going on. Always. And even if what you want isn’t a part of the day’s special, it’ll likely be pretty cheap regardless. 2. I can only speak for myself, but I’ve never had a negative experience with anyone working there. Customer service has treated me well, 3. I feel like every time I’ve been there, the music has been on point. Smokey Robinson? Is that Otis Redding? I swear that was Otis Redding. 4. It’s connected to Pasta Bowl and I don’t think anything connected to Pasta Bowl can be wrong. Clearly, I dig this place and would recommend it. Small, lowkey, you’ll actually be able to catch a game AND have a conversation.

This place is everything you’d want in a neighborhood bar. It’s pretty small, but not toooo small, has a good amount of activities(darts, arcade games, board games), attentive and attractive bar staff, delicious and fairly-priced food, but the best part of all are the specials. Every night has something else, so plan accordingly. I will definitely be back.

The Other Side Bar is that local bar that you really want to be within a stones throw of. The place, well is on «the other side» of the Pasta Bowl in Lincoln Park. The place is friendly, unpretentious, easygoing and has a great selection of craft beer. The other bonus in my case, is the location around the corner from my office. The staff are friendly — like their jobs, which in turn makes you want to come back more often. They have some killer deals like 50% off craft beer and on the same night a $ 10 pizza. It’s a go to after work place — and the hostel I run now brings groups of people here on a weekly basis for a $ 20 beer and drink package for two hours. If you’re looking for a friendly laid back place, with a good vibe — afordable food and nice people — give The Other Side Bar a shot.

Fun, chill place. I used to come out here from the burbs when I lived there. I recently visited again and it’s changed a lo, décor wise, but it’s still great(go figure, move down the street and now I hardly visit…). Also, I blame one of the bartenders for getting me hooked on Anti-hero.

I recently went here for drinks, great selection of beers and they did carry certain specials. The amount of board games were lacking a little bit, but they did have cards against humanity which is great for a good group of people. The couch in the front was extremely comfy and the bar was nice, but not too new or nice. I would go here again for a good place to relax and hang out with friends.

Great service, good selection of beer and all in all, good prices. The seasonal draft beers we’ve tried have all been very good. They have specials throughout the week that make the prices even better. We went on Sunday and got a $ 10 two topping pizza which was definitely large and was better than most delivery style pizzas. The ambience is more divey than anything else. The music has a good variety of pop, 90’s and rock classics. I would definitely come back.

Since the remodel the Otherside has continued to churn good food, great drinks, and better times. The bar staff and waitresses are attentive. Go with the wings they don’t disappoint.

Based solely on the iron skillet chocolate chip cookie and the $ 3 special of the day drink prices, if I’m hangin’ in Lakeview near the corner of Fullerton and Clark any time soon, you can bet I will be back at The Other Side Bar! Great service, locals, a crazy-large cookie with two heaping scoops of ice cream for $ 6, and TVs? With pints ranging from $ 3-$ 5, with stuff I have heard of? Yessir!

This place is A-okay! All in all it’s a bar. We didn’t eat as we had just eaten sushi, but they did offer us the menu. I enjoyed the bottled cider while other tried beers in tap. It seemed like there were a lot of beers they were out of though. They had cute décor including vintage steins and signs, but are selling it all off in order to redecorate. Supposedly there will be chalkboard paint and they will rely on artwork there, but given it’s a bar, I question this logic. People will be chalking penises all over the walls in no time.

I had a great experience here Saturday. We had a group of 8 that were looking for dinner after going to Zoolights. Majority of the group voted for the Pasta bowl, so we headed there. They didn’t have room for 8, but said we could order from their menu next door. So we walked through the Pasta Bowl to The Other Side. They combined 2 tables to seat us. We got menus for both the Pasta Bowl and the bar. This was pretty awesome, because we didn’t all want pasta! Half our group had pasta, and half had bar food. Our server could not have been better. Bailey was on top of everything. She refilled our water, kept us in drinks, split our checks based on couples, remembered who was with who even after a seat change, and was friendly. There were decent drink specials(we were here on a Saturday!). I had a flavored Smirnoff(something weird but sweet) with coke for $ 3, and there were decent pints of beer for $ 5. The food was all good. The pastas smelled and looked great. The waffle fries and tater tots were perfectly cooked. My grilled chicken sandwich was quite tasty. In the end, this was a great choice for a group dinner on Saturday evening.
