We ordered three dishes and each one was worse than the last. It was bland, portions were small and it took over an hour to get less than a mile. I will not be ordering from here again!

Stick with the delivery for Tie Me Up. They have really good food, but the interior of the place is just strange. It is like being in someone’s basement. There was a kid in the middle of the restaurant on a computer playing video games the entire time I was there. And they had really random objects placed on the shelves– little trinkets and I think I remember seeing a stuffed animal. The food is really yummy though and the name itself cracks me up.

I’m really only here to review Vietnamese Spring Rolls so I can add it to my list, but apparently I have to consider the whole establishment. The food gets 3.75 stars-for the price–(because they have nice crisp vegetables, and rarely screw up a take-out order) The atmosphere is interesting. 5 stars, if you are going for a genuine small business family owned feeling. You might step on a Lego or something. Or feel completely comfortable searching for the remote control in there. Also its just one of those things that happens in life how the sign outside says«Tie Me Up Noodles», and the take-out menu says«Thai Me Up Noodles». I think probably what happened is whoever made the sign messed up and they just decided to keep it. Thinking about it I kind of dig the atmosphere there. And they have copies of The Onion and I think a quarter Chicklet machine… Anyway, their Vietnamese Spring Rolls are called Thai Me Up rolls. Or Tie Me Up rolls They are meat heavy(for a spring roll) including shrimp, chicken, and crabmeat stick(but no pork). However, the basil and mint mixture in there is pretty good. I think there might be cilantro in there sometimes but don’t quote me on that. Most of the time I pick the chicken and the crabmeat out which is super easy because the darned things are rolled pretty loosely. Yeah… unfortunate…because the spice to vermicelli(sp?) ratio is close to right on. The sauce is a nice consistency, thinner sweet and sour with some depth, can’t figure out what, with finely groung peanuts on top.

A simple low-cost Thai restaurant that doesn’t spend money on décor or trendy music. Excellent lunch specials(your choice of app and entrée) for around $ 7.00 with tax included. Some of the best fried rice in the city. I highly recommend the curry or Thai fried rice and their Pad Thai isn’t too bad.

While stationed in Okinawa when I was in the Marine Corps I deployed to Thailand several times for excercises and such and have been there for almost three months altogether. I LOVE trying new foods and I tried almost everything there(except the giant cockroaches — no way) and this place has food that tastes just like food in Thailand itself. That’s a good thing. I’ve tried a few other Thai places and overall they were good but not the same and then I tried Tie Me Up and I had flashbacks of sitting in 100 degree weather fighting the flies for my food. No flies here though. Sure it may cost only a $ 1 for the same thing in Thailand but for the quality of food you get it’s very reasonably priced. By the way I’ve been to some Thai restaraunts that give you chopsticks. Nobody uses chopsticks in Thailand.

The staff is über friendly, but I thought that my pad khee mao was unnecessarily greasy! The eggrolls that I got seemed to have an odd, sour flavor to it, too. I’m not sure if that’s how they’re meant to taste or if some of the ingredients were spoiled. I’m willing to give it another try, though. Maybe I just went on a bad night.
