Terrible service with food that is edible at best. Called to find out what this restaurant was located near and got snapped at by woman who answered phone. Not only did I not get an answer, she also hung up the phone without saying goodbye.

I’ve given this place more chances than I should have. I have eaten here for both breakfast and lunch both were equally horrible. For breakfast the eggs are never cooked properly and the hash browns greasy. For lunch the gyro is a greasy disgusting mess, polish sausage which is incredibly hard to mess up this place takes the cake, fries are soggy, and the Philly cheese-steak one of the main ingredients CHEESE was on less than half of the sandwich. I have had it with this place I wish I could give negative stars. I will no longer waste my money!

I love this place for what it is — a diner /home-style cooking joint. The food is simple and good, and they have the best prices for the area. I’ve been getting breakfast here a lot and I am always very happy with it. I’ve also gotten grilled cheeses and BLTs which are what you would expect — yummy and probably not the healthiest things in the world, but not horrible. I noticed they actually make their hash-browns from real potatoes and not processed stuff, which is great. This is a great spot for very reasonably priced authentic diner food. Oh– and for the person who commented that $ 4.30 for 2 eggs, hash-browns, toast and BACON is «expensive,» that is ridiculous. Nowhere around here can you get anything like that for that price, not even close. You could get a doughnut or one tiny coffee from Starbucks.

After two weeks of more expensive breakfasts I decided to try this place on the first floor of my office building. Bad idea. It is pretty hard to mess up eggs but these guys figured out a new way to do it. I ordered their breakfast special which consisted of 2 eggs, potatoes, bacon, and toast. It was expensive. $ 4.30 including tax. About the same price as a breakfast special back home in Cali. The food was pretty bad. As others have noted… greasy and tasteless are the two adjectives that come to mind. The potatoes might have just been the worst homefries I’ve ever eaten: a greasy pile of mush that made a b-line for the trash after just one bite. Avoid this place like the plague.

This place sucks. It was one of the few places that served breakfast and I went there regularly by lack of choice. The proprietor was not a very cheery person and was never very friendly even when I would go out of my way to be nice. The food was seldom cooked very well — eggs over done, greasy and tasteless — and took forever. When other options became available I asked if maybe they would toss in an extra side for being a loyal customer. No way! I wasn’t really expecting anything, I just wanted to prove to myself that this place sucks.

I stop in here maybe once a month or two for the last few years. It’s not bad. The thick cut fries are usually really good. But lately, the service has been a little, well, shoddy. I made my order, stepped to the side to wait, after about 10 minutes and watching other ppl get their food, I asked where my order was. Apparently she had not even written down my order. I had to wait another few minutes while they continued to make other orders until they got to my new ‘ticket’ and made mine. No apologies, nothing. On top of that, the thick cut fries have been soggy the last couple times I’ve gone. A mixup on the order? Forgiveable. Soggy thick cut fries? Ummm, no. Come on Vista, pick it up a notch here, if I have to stand around for 10 minutes for my fries, make sure they’re crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Gyros are decent. Sandwiches are decent. Hot dogs(for some reason) use giardinara instead of regular peppers(interesting). Overall, not bad. But nothing to go out of your way for.

They have a veggie burger that’s kind of decent but the woman at the counter is snappy, the guy at the back is aloof and goofy and I had to go back 3 times to get my order right!

the numerous and blatant misspellings on their menu are awe-inspiring! I get entranced just looking at it and finding new ones. Best cashier in the world, and reasonable prices for the Loop. Try the spicy chicken sandwich!

your typical greasy«hot dog stand» type place… the menu goes on for days of all the fast food you could think of. actually, there are like 3 different menus. they have a pretty long breakfast menu too, and a bunch of specials that include fries/drink. i’ve gone here for a gyro a few times. they are pretty decent. i had the catfish filet, which comes w/fries. fries weren’t salted. tartar sauce was the pre-packaged stuff, and there wasn’t enough of it. but the fish was good. the cashier is funny, sometimes. ;p

Another place I hit when I’m in the 225 building. Kind of incongruous to have a sort of low-rent place in the sleek 225 N. Mich building, but this is a place that knows how to make a fried egg sandwich, baby! And yeah — a place that has a good BLT has me as a repeat customer for sure. Also a more moderately priced option than many of the other lunch/breakfast places here.

Good greasy spoon, really friendly and sarcastic cashier. When you need that BLT at 9am, this is the place to go…
