This is my favorite white castle. I drive all the way over here from the southside of Chicago to treat myself. Why? Because I have never been to this Whitecastle and placed an order and their burgers came out cold. All the other white castles seem as if they cook the white castles and let them sit there waiting for people to order them and they come to you cool to the touch. At this restaurant however when you get your white castles whether it is early in the afternoon or late in the evening they are always steaming hot just like I like them. And their fries are always hot too. This is the only white castle in the Chicagoland area that I have been to that their food is consistently good. Oh and another bonus with this Whitecastle is that it always looks clean. There is not a white castle in the city on the southside the looks sanitary. Oh and another bonus is that they’re nice and fast. Some of the other places will give you cold burgers and it takes 10 minutes for you to get your food. If it takes 10 minutes then why the heck is it cold!!! it should be steaming hot!!! With that being said I visited today and had a slight disappointment but I’m not going to deduct any stars since they’re normally really good. I ordered their mozzarella sticks and like their burgers they came out nice and hot. The problem is that the mozzarella sticks tasted like fish. I have no idea how that happened unless someone stuck them in the same oil they use to cook the little fish bite offerings in. I don’t know maybe these are microwave cheese sticks and in that case I can’t really explain why they taste like fish but they do but that’s OK because I don’t come to Whitecastle for mozzarella sticks I come for their piping hot sliders and those as usual did not disappoint.

White Castle, you are what you are. Not healthy, but delicious. I wouldn’t normally«review» White Castle, since most people know exactly what they’re getting. The reason why I’m writing a 5 star review though is because of this location’s awesome customer service. Scenario: My friend and I had rented a car and were coming back into the city in order to return it. We stopped at this White Castle on the way since it had been months/years since either had eaten one of their«sliders». The entire process was great: we got our food via drivethru, left to return the rental car, and then proceeded to my Friend’s apartment to devour our food. Problem: ½ of the food we ordered and paid for was missing and we had no car to return to the location to retrieve the rest of our meal. Solution: We called the White Castle disappointed in order to ask about a refund. The manager offered to DRIVE the food out to us herself and threw in an extra 2 fudge dipped cheesecakes(amazing foodstuff btw). All in all, what could’ve been a very disappointing afternoon ended up with me having a new-found appreciation for customer service. Even though the initial mistake was theirs, they went above and beyond to fix things. Good customer service like that deserves 5 stars. Even if my stomach after the fact disagrees!

Oh nostalgia, how you make everything seem so much better than it actually is… The last time I had White Castle was during a school field trip 10 years ago and I remember it being delicious, probably because our orchestra teacher treated everyone. Imagine two full school busses of orchestra students pulling up to the driveway. That must have been one hell of a rush for the employees! This time, a group of friends and I dropped by for some much needed post-music festival nourishment and I was overcome with child-like joy. Just as I had remembered, the buns were warm and the flavors were simple but comforting. I had two of the regular sliders, two jalapeño sliders, and an order of the french toast sticks. It was the perfect amount of food and left me satisfied. The french toast sticks were warm and crunchy. Apparently they have Belgian waffles now, which had me intrigued. I wish they recycled the little boxes or maybe stopped putting each slider in its own little box… It seems a little wasteful to me. The best part was that the employees were very friendly and accommodating even late at night. This White Castle had the best customer service and cleanest bathrooms/seating I have seen in years.

Promote Ross. This Guy made my experience magical, definitely coming back. I don’t even like White Castle, but Ross was probably the best employee of any fast food chain I’ve ever met ever. He had me laughing the whole time and brought my mood way up. PROMOTETHISMAN!

OMG, they finally finished the renovation, and the place now looks more like a Starbucks than a White Castle, but that’s ok — because the burgers still come out hot, the shakes are huge, and the fries no longer come in one size.

It’s White Castle! Little burgers smothered in onions and cheese! That’s what we come for, we don’t deviate to other things and for that they get 4 stars!

Dumb people working drive thru. Asked for a cup of water with my order and they give me a cup of ice. Duh. No condiments. Get a grip guys. Try a little customer service!

A buddy and I were meeting up for a recent lunch and we ended up at White Castle since he had a craving and I haven’t been to a WC for decades. What the heck! The location had went under a massive renovation since the last time I was here. The place is very modern with the exposed duct work and the openness of the kitchen and the dining area. Very cool. Placing the order of a Chicken Sandwich Combo plus an order of the Mozzarella Cheese Sticks was pretty painless. My friend had ordered Shrimp and Fries. Then were able to find a table — it was 1pm in the middle of the week. Shortly, our names were called meaning to come back to the counter to retrieve your food. I will say the food was really not bad, until the greasy flavor hits you. No matter how much gum you place in your mouth… it won’t leave until you brush your teeth. Will this deter me from returning… probably not. Enjoy but be aware.

It is true when they say that White Castle is open 24/7, 365 days a year… What they don’t tell you is that, if you decide to grab a bite at 3AM on New Year’s Day, coming home from a fantastic concert you may have to wait close to 1 hour to be served. The burgers are grear if you are starving, average if you consider all the other options you may normally have(whataburger, in’n out, burger king). I just have had much better and a lot worse… White Castle is just middle of the road good. No glory, no shame. Just solid food for starving post — concert cravings

Wow! Great drive-thru staff and very courteous hoppers. Thou, 24 is easy to count, some worker today only had 23 in the bag. So, I called from the VIP parking spot and waited for #24. The guy who answered asked where I was parked. Basically, said in the VIP– lol… Yes, 24 Ultimate Chicken Sirrachi squares to calm my dads crave. So, we have left overs because we all only ate three each. When, I was younger we had contests to see who could eat the most square burgers. These days I get full after 3! Back to the chicken sandwich. It’s tasty. Not hot enough for me. Just put more Sirrachi on from my refridgerator. Jalapeño peppers were good, but could be juicer. Buns ‘A’ plus. Chicken is great. Hope it was real chicken. Not really sure. Highly recommend trying the Ultimate Sirrachi chicken square sandwich. Go early or late, but not drunk.

I order the same thing every time. Fish with cheese and tarter sauce. I love tarter sauce. And EVERYTIME you forget to put it in the bag. Ugh.

4 Stars for the great remodeling job at this location. It’s entirely brand new! Same old swimming in onion sliders and fried. I thought maybe they would taste a little different with new grills and all, but no, it is the same, 2 stars for the food. I go here once every other month to remind myself not to go back too often.

I probably spend way too much money here. The staff always has been friendly and they are always under staffed during the busy hours. I appreciate their efforts. They normally do great job with the burgers. The quality is consistent. However, i can not say the same thing for the fries. Once in a while i get that saggy fries . Their egg and cheese slider is everything you need for a good start in the morning.

Of course the first place I stepped foot in after landing in Chicago was White Castle. Here in Miami all we have are the frozen packs from 7 Eleven or Publix(if you’re lucky). I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one of those sliders. And when I did, it was soooo good! Well, better than Burger King or Mc Donalds but maybe that’s because we don’t have White Castle. In my short time in Chicago I had White Castle like 3 or 4 times(I regret nothing). Aside from that, the service was good, fast, and the food was cheap.

5 stars for the morning crew!!! I have only frequented this White Castle location in the mornings on the way to work. And from this location I have only ordered breakfast items. That being said, I love the ladies that are here in the mornings!!! They are so cute and super friendly and just nice. If I wasn’t always going through the drive thru I’d want to give them a hug. They have never gotten my order wrong and I have no complaints. Way to go White Castle for making great breakfast. You can really taste that the egg is freshly cooked in any of the breakfast sliders, unlike other fast food places that use boxed eggs or fake eggs or whatever crap that is. If you have never had the breakfast menu items I highly recommend them. Even my friends who are anti-fast food love the sliders. They used to have chicken waffle sandwiches that were taken off the menu. They were super delicious and I hope they come back one day. Even for a limited time!

There is a reason why their slogan is «The crave is a powerful thing» and their hashtag is «#MyCrave». It’s because you have to have the craving, similar to Harold and Kumar! We came here not because of «the crave» but because everyone says that«White Castle is the In N Out of the East Coast». I’m sorry but it is not! For those who say that, my question to them is if they’ve ever had In N Out!!! I give credit to that movie for making this fast food joint(hahahaha…joint!) popular and over-hyped. I got 3 sliders: two with cheese and one with jalapeño cheese. The sliders were not good. I was not impressed. The sliders are steamed, which seems healthy, but it has no taste, even with cheese. The onion seems a bit old and lacks to add flavor to the slider. I care for my Chicago friends dearly and it was a sweet time hanging out with them at White Castle… tons of movie quotes were re-quoted! Let’s just say that I told them to visit me in California and that there would be an In N Out burger to greet them. Aside from the burger, the staff is friendly and efficient. The food does come out fast… hence, fast food!

In Southern California, I coined a term, LA Disease for the foods that leave me with a bout of Liquid Ass. For White Castle, and White Castle alone, I’m coining the term, WC Disease; for Wet Crack. After my visit to White Castle, the sliders that slid right out of me, left that wet residue, you know where. TMI? Deal with it. So, White Castle was my first food stop in Chicago. It had been many, many years since the last time I jammed those bite sized burgers down into my gut. I was looking forward to the experience for months and months, only to find them just OK in my book. It’s probably due to the fact that I don’t really east fast food anymore as I’m not into the heavy grease that these patties were cooked in. So much so that the buns were wet and soggy. I could see over the counter and watch the cooking process as my order of 20 sliders was being prepared. Mixed them up, with and without cheese. Preferred the ones without cheese as it’s just plain American cheese. Couldn’t really taste the difference anyway — just gave it a different texture. This wasn’t so much a bucket list item for me as much as it was just the chance to have something I can’t have every day; sort of like In-N-Out here on the West Coast. Guess my eating habits have changed over the years because these sliders I was dying for, was just ok. It was a nice touch that they didn’t stay in my system too long so I had room for the rest of my dining adventures while in the Windy City. Thank God I didn’t get sick and for nice soft toilet paper.

White Castle is also another one of my guilty pleasures. I am so glad that there is one that is somewhat close to home back in Chicago; it seems as if a stand-alone White Castle is very rare! The Original Slider is delicious, and you can add cheese in them if you would like(as there are Double Cheese Sliders as well). It comes with 100% beef hamburger, steam-grilled, and has some onions and a pickle on top in a soft bun. I dip mine in ketchup! These sandwiches are small and you can definitely eat a good handful of them! There are also Chicken Breast Sliders, Fish Sliders, and Chicken Ring Sliders as well, but I always stick with the Original. The fries are crinkle-cut, and they have Coke products. You can also purchase microwaveable ones from your local grocery store in the frozen section. +Original Slider(with cheese)

Great slider pick up joint. I have been here with everyone important in my life over the past twenty years. I came here with my ex wife when we were dating. I brought friends from Europe here to «see the slider place» and I have been on dates here with everyone I ever dated — even the vegetarians come eat the fries and watch the drunks late at night. Oh, I could go here one night, then go to the most expensive place in Chicago. It is freaking White Castle. It might not be a Chicago original, but it is awesome. Some dummies complain about sliders. you dummies — these are sliders!
