Best tasting coffee and the best service in town! Their breakfast sandwiches are really good too.

I love happy hour from 5 – 7 everyday! Any size drink for only $ 4! Everyone who works here is really nice. I go almost every other day to get my fix of the yummy blended butterfinger drink! Tastes exactly like the candy bar!

Great customer service! The drinks are bomb and are pretty reasonable compared to other coffee shops. I don’t come here much, but when its a cheat day I order a black and white mocha frappé with Carmel… That usually hits the spot! Great location, but it is just a drive thru. You can walk up and order but there isn’t a seating area. But I understand that they don’t want bums chilling in front of the business all day. Give them a try!

Love this place! Coffe drive-thrus are awesome. The black and white mocha is delicious and so are all of their breakfast sandwiches. Will definitely stop by again next time i’m in the area! Was there two mornings in a row ;)

The guy that works there is fast but does not understand what you order. I got a small coffee extra cream… had to repeat it 4 times. Then I ordered A breakfast sandwich which was made really fast in my opinion and once I tried to bite of it it was cold and soggy like it had been sitting there for like 20 minutes

Absolutely love Java Detour! They have everything you could hope for in a coffee stand. They also speak normal English coffee terms… Small, large, blended,. Unlike other coffee places where you’ve got to ask what the«cookamunga mocha grande» is. It’s great, the people are great, and you’ll love it. Prices and drinks mixtures are consistent.

The only thing disappointing about this place is the LONG line before 8am ;) This place is super better than Starbucks!

I’ve been going here more frequently lately and I wish I had been visiting this place years ago! If I need my caffeine fix before work and I don’t have the time to drive over to Empire, I hit up Java Detour since it’s along my route. They have such a wide variety of drinks, hot and cold. And they have extra large size which is HUGE, cuz sometimes you need all the caffeine you can get! The prices are reasonable, less than Starbucks in most cases. I love their hot drinks, never even had a questionable one before. I’ve personally have never like chai, but I got talked into getting a pumpkin spice chai latte before and it was love at first sip! They have awesome blended drinks, they are so refreshing on a typical scorching Chico summer day. I’ve only had a few breads here which were all tasty, I’ve yet to try their breakfast sandwiches though they look good as well. So what sets this place apart from other chain coffee joints? The customer service! Every person who works there is beyond nice and cheery, you don’t get that at a lot of places anymore. And they’ve even come out to my car before to get my order when I was second in line-how awesome is that?! Oh and did I mention that they are FAST?! I’ve literally never waited for more than a minute for a drink and I am not exaggerating! By the time my order is placed and my card has cleared, they’re done making my beverage! You should really check this place out if you haven’t yet!

I am from the South and new to the West Coast Coffee House Etiquitte, which let me tell you, is very differnt from one another. Did you know that back East alot of places appreciate it if you bring you own mug. One would think this phenomenon would catch on in Northern California, recycling and green living capitol of the World, but no. Not once in 10 years of coffee house visits from Aptos to Zamora have I witnessed this in any CA coffee house. I digress. My original point was that the baristas here add your fixins for you. That ain’t cool; like bellying up to the urinal, there are just some things you gots to do yourself. I strongly suspect that the sugar they put in my coffee is not actually the high grade island ‘cane I am used to, but actually Splenda or some other artificial sweetner. Its decent joe, but it tastes like friggin’ sacchirine every time I get one. What gives?
