One of my first Indian cuisine experiences. I was not disappointed, the food was fabulous. Atmosphere was relaxing and service was amazing. Hope to frequent here more often. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

The lunch buffet has a decent spread. I haven’t been in for dinner yet. The price of the lunch is good, and the selection is to. I recommend the butter chicken, or the goat curry.

I am Indian so I know the culture and food very well. One thing About Indian food is one dish is for about 2 – 3 people. This place serves very small portions and charges ridiculous amount of money. If the food was good then it would be okay. The food is very bland doesn’t not have all flavored Indian food has to offer. Save yourself the disappointment. DONOTMAKETHEMISTAKE I MADE. Workers aren’t very friendly either.

A few weekends ago, I visited my girlfriend up in Chico. We were looking for a good lunch place, so we decided to try out the buffet at Priya. There were several really great things about their buffet but a few not-so-great aspects as well. Pros: –Great selection: They had tons of dishes(especially meat dishes). They even offered goat curry. The only thing I wanted that they didn’t have was saag paneer. –They don’t skimp on the meat: A lot of Indian buffets’ meat dishes consist of a meager portion of chicken cubes sunken into a vast pool of sauce. At Priya, there were large chunks of meat in each of the meat dishes. –I’m not a fan of gulab jamun(too sweet for me), but my girlfriend said Priya’s was really good. Cons: –There was no dish that was a stand-out, and none of the dishes were even the least bit spicy. I realize having a buffet for a clientele that is predominantly spice-averse requires toning down of the pepper on most dishes. However, a good Indian buffet should have at least a couple of spicy dishes. –The naan was basically just the kind you can get at the store. Nothing special about it. I’ve been to many Indian buffets, and I would have to say that Priya is a little better than average. If you are super hungry and in the mood for Indian food, you should definitely check them out for lunch.

Best Indian food around Chico. We love their lunch buffet. Family friendly, vegan friendly, and gluten free options!

The food was delicious but I ended up spending like 15 bucks for a lunch buffet which is supposed to be their popular meal deal. I consider 15 bucks to be way too much for lunch, especially with indian food which has a low overhead to make compared to other cuisines.

Great lunch buffet. Great value. Nice atmosphere. Very authentic. Nice mood music. Only thing I would change is the stiff seating. I’ve been here at least 5 times & plan on going back!

To start off, the food is extremely gooood full of flavor and lord do I crave their butter chicken and chicken tikka masala all the time! However, in the past I have ordered to go and found hair in my food. I returned it to show them and they claimed they have changed it. I went back home again, and yet again I find that hair! I was extremely furious and I was not given a refund! I was extremely furious and promised myself I wouldn’t come back. Recently, my friend order for delivery and the quality was good. I’m giving them a second chance. Lastly, I think they should really work on the décor, smell and cleanness. The servers that bring u the food are not wearing proper clothes and their hairs r not covered, no wonder I got hair in my food! Also, if u plan on going here forget about going anywhere else but the shower after it! U will really be smelling like food.

Priya is delightful. The food is a saucy, spicy escape from Chico. The buffet food is cooked fresh and I have never had them run out of food during buffet. The food is delicious and has plenty of healthy options. The buffet is a great price and they make sure everyone has clean plates, silverware, tables, and a fresh cup of water :)

Six years later, and Priya is still unbelievable. I ordered the palak paneer thali dinner to go. Sitting and eating it now and life is so good. Thanks Priya for the radness!!!

Absolutely delicious. We ordered take out from Priya two nights in a row. The first night we had palak paneer — the paneer had great flavor and texture and the spinach was flavorful — and chicken tiki masala. The Tikka masala sauce was GREAT. The second night we had aloo gobi — yum — and vegetable koorma which was to die for. The koorma was creamy and rich but also had some sour notes to balance it all out. Both nights we got tons of rice and Naan(we ordered a la cart both nights), perfect for sopping up all that sauce! Can’t speak to the service because we ordered take out but everyone was very nice when we went in to pick up the food. EATHERE.

This place has redefined Indian food for our family. The food is CRAZY flavorful and inexpensive when you consider the portions. The samosas are fantastically Vegan, as are a lot of other dishes on the menu; they will even customize the dinner plates to include only Vegan options. When we’ve been here, there’s always been someone from the staff there to guide us towards Vegan options… and they’re ALWAYS great. If you’re looking for something in Chico different than the normal restaurant scene, try this place out… you won’t regret it.

Wow. I admit that I had lower expectations than I should have. But the food here was really excellent — full of flavor and the perfect amount of spice. They had great service and even refunded a few dollars because one of their items was sold out. I really recommend this place and will come here often.

I have been here twice so far and both times the food was delicious! I go there when they have their buffet, its about 10 dollars for all you can eat, and there are many different options. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is nice. I recommend you try this place at least once!

The BEST place for lunch in Chico hands down!!! Go for the buffet you can’t go wrong! A little taste of everything! The weekend buffet has samosas a lot of the time also!!! The butter chicken is Soooooooooo good!!! The lamb kabobs tasty as well! The ONLY thing I can say that can be improved is the meat can be a little over cooked… but with all the sauces it’s not terribly noticeable.

Shrimp Tikka Masala — masala sauce is rich thick and flavorful and coats large tender shrimp. spring for the $ 3 extra bucks for the Thali dinner combo to expand your taste experience with samples of other dishes such as lentil soup, paneer, and riata(yogurt). quality rules over quantity here but you will be stuffed. Classy authentic atmosphere, quality service, indian music and décor, and staff women wear beautiful indian attire all which adds to your enjoyment of your indian cuisine.
