1 hour wait for a party of four, with four parties ahead of us. It was really annoying because three parties after us on the waiting list were seated first because they were parties of two, but what can you do. Got the Taiwanese Spicy, which is only available in the spiciest level possible. Really great for spice lovers, but be careful not to let it go down the wrong throat haha Food came out pretty quickly after we ordered, and service was always quite prompt. Only annoying thing was that I went up to the register to pay, and a woman in front of me was asking a lengthy question. I waited a good ten minutes while the employee answered the customer’s question, but I feel like they could have easily moved elsewhere while someone rang me up. Why delay me paying the bill and making other parties have to wait longer to sit?

Food was ok. Services not so much. I went in for lunch by myself. I ordered lunch special soup, rice, and drink for $ 11.99 well… Turn out they charged me $ 15.99 for bigger portions which I didn’t ask for. Well… If you want to charge bigger portions for people that didn’t ask for it then put the lunch special price as $ 15.99 not $ 11.99. Or if not explained to your customer or asked? Would I going back??? NOPE.

Taiwanese hot pot. It’s called boiling point for a reason and it’s because they serve their pot literally on top of fire to keep your soup boiling throughout your meal. Whenever I come, I always make sure to show up 15 minutes before they open at 11am because there is usually a line queuing to go in. If you miss this golden window you probably won’t get a table until after 12pm. During this time they serve a lunch special which is slightly cheaper and comes with a drink, green or black tea. I always order the beef hot soup in very spicy. It comes with a lot of food you can find in a hot pot: cabbage, enoki mushroom, imitation crab, fish cake, vermicelli and of course the beef. They also serve you a side of your choice of either rice or vermicelli. There is also a mixture of sauce you can dip your food in which is really really good. I like to mix all three together. There is a bean paste, garlic sauce with the chili oil. Overall, I come here often when I crave hot pot, soupy type food. Their service has much improved!!! I don’t have to wave frantically for someone to get me more soup, they’re more attentive now.

I thought I’d never come back after the incident(check previous review) but I’ve been back many times and they don’t have many flies anymore thank goodness. Service is still just okay, have to save them down most of the time. Food tastes consistent during each visit.

Love this place especially on chilly days. I’ve tried #1(wasn’t a fan of the fermented tofu taste) and the korean hot pot which is what I always get now. I try to avoid the lunch/dinner rush as there always seems to be a wait.

Man, oh, man. This is where I tried my first Taiwanese hot pot and I instantly enjoyed it. I am a huge fan of hot pot and shabu-shabu styled meals, so I look forward to dining here every time. I have only tried three types of hot pot selections which are the beef, lamb, and Taiwanese spicy hot pot. All three are delicious but if you’re a spice-tronaut, then you must try the Taiwanese spicy hot pot. Warning! It will take you a while to finish and it might make you sweat due to the intense flavor and heat. The restaurant also serves an assortment of drinks and macaroons. The only downside is that this Boiling Point location is quite small, so expect a waiting time to be seated. Weekends are especially busy and crowded. Since it’s so close to home, I occasionally return back.

Food was delicious. We had the beef soup and the Boba drink. However, customer service was terrible at 30% full. The servers huddle more at the one cash register than making sure the customers are good occasionally. The trainee rules. He was so much better than the regular servers. We have gone the 3 times in a row because of the food and drink. First time was full, extremely busy Sunday but service was good. Monday and Tuesday 30% full. Our server conversing with the guy next to us rather than doing his job and checking if we and other customers are ok. The guy customer next to us was a bigger help than that server. I wanted to give the guy customer the tip. I basically gave zero tips both times. Flagging them done was a major pain. Food should not be taken to the back to be packed. Luv to go back for the food but service is so bad that we can not enjoy our meal

I’m a fan of boiling point, I really like their number one special dish with the stinky tofu and Beef soups combo. The one down side to me is that the staff they hire seem so busy all the time that it’s difficult sometimes to get serviced just after ordering food. I also get somewhat annoyed when they don’t understand what I’m saying sometimes due to a language barrier. When my wife wants the soup to be substituted with veggie broth as the lamb broth doesn’t suit her well, we almost always get the«?» Look and then have to repeat ourselves sometimes many times over. Other than this, we really like their food, especially during the less expensive lunch special with free sweetened ice green or black tea! It’s the same portion as dinner, and yet it’s cheaper and you get a free drink! What can be better!!!

Wish I can bring this back to the East Coast with me! Being a Taiwanese, their hot pot took me right to home. I ordered the tw fermented tofu pot(台式刷刷鍋) — the classic, since it was my first time trying the restaurant. When my personal hot pot came in front of me, my jaw dropped. I was impressed by the amount of ingredients in the pot(see photo) $ 11.99 for all these? I don’t think you can find anything like this in NYC… The soup base was rich and so fermented, just the way I like it. I found so many more tofu underneath the pot. I haven’t tried a similar Taiwanese hot pot like this but I’m going to say this place/restaurant chain is worth the try(especially for the stinky tofu lovers).

They have one vegetarian/vegan option, which is good enough for me. It’s basically a bunch of veggies thrown into a hot pot of veggie broth and glass noodles. Make sure to ask for it without the sauce. I believe it’s oyster or fish based, I forget. It’s super bland and they probably just threw that in the menu to please non meat eaters. You’re going to have to wait a good 5 minutes to let that shit cool down. It will burn your tongue and you’ll be very sorry about it.

Your typical boiling point, except seemingly understaffed. Came here on a Thursday night and waited 45 – 50 min to get seated. We were told it would only take 20 min and that’s why we stayed to wait. Once 20 min passed, we figured since we already waited so long, why not wait a little longer. If we knew we were going to wait almost an hour for boiling point, we probably would have left. THEFOOD: I know some people don’t like boiling point bc apparently their food is prepackaged or not fresh, but I actually love their seafood hotpot; it’s my go to. I also like the two sauces they have too. THESERVICE: Everyone is nice, but the service is SLOW. We had to flag someone down for everything, from ordering, to getting water, to getting the bill, etc. We were not checked on at all. Everyone seemed busy and was always running about. Maybe they should hire more people. THEPLACE: Too small. From the time we came to the time we left, there were people waiting outside. Be prepared to wait, even if they say the wait is 20 min.

The store is a lot smaller than the Rowland Heights one, so the wait is much longer — especially if you have more than 4 people. The food is still the same though.(Read my full review about food here ) They are a little light handed on the spiciness, so I would go up one spiciness level here. The service could be better. There are a couple servers here who are on point, but some of them were just plain rude. Just a note — one of the things they ask you to do here is to write the tip amount before they swipe your card so that they can just do it in one transaction! It was a little weird to me, so thought I’d just put it out there.

I took my wife here before visiting my dad. Lucky we got here couple minutes before Boiling Point open at 11am. This is our first time here and we didn’t know we had to put our name down and pick up a number card. One of the waitress told us to do so, there were numerous groups of people already waiting before us and after us as well. Ten minutes went by and my name was call and we were seated. We ordered our hot pots and it came with green tea or black tea and a little dessert at the end. Services were very fast and nice. Foods were tasty and love the Jasmin iced tea. We will definitely come back.

Its been kind of weirdly cold in socal lately and Boiling Point is one of my spots when its rainy and cool when I’m not feeling Phở or ramen. They only serve soups with some limited side dishes and provide a good variety of add-ons. Having 10 unique types of soup, you can be confident you can find something you like. And if you are unsure of anything check online for their menu which lists out every soup in detailed ingredients. All of the soups I have tried are tasty and filling without getting any add-ons. The soups come in spice levels none to flaming spicy. Medium is easily tolerated by anyone that enjoys reasonable amounts of Sriracha. Be warned about very spicy and flaming, as I know people that have scared themselves and swore off those levels of spicy forever. The food is good but the service bugs me at Boiling Point. Its fast to get your food, but they rarely if ever check on you if you need anything. The servers fly around you all the time so just wave one down and they can put out the hot pot or get you water. Speaking of water, they only serve you water in little foam cups. It feels weird to be at sit down restaurant with big steel bowls of flaming hot soup and be given water in dinky foam cups. Overall, this Boiling Point is pretty similar to Rowland Heights location in terms of menu, quality and service, so if you have been there you know what to expect. My tip for those that have bad Boiling Point before but never been here is to expect a wait if you come during prim dinner hours. This location is fairly small, maybe half the size of the Rowland Heights location at best.

I am sure you all know how the food taste. I will say I go all the time. Pretty good compare to other similar place. You wonder why this review is? Not for taste. But how dirty the water bottle they serve. I told then to look the bottle, they didn’t really say sorry and just said we will change the bottle. What the heck? See my pic, how long does it take to get dirty like this? Very long long time not washing it!!! Damn nasty. I know lot of place is dirty, but at least not in ur face!!! They once was under remodel, I wonder why? Since the location look good and wasn’t that long. I over heard Coz of the place wasn’t clean enough need to re-do the place. Whatever it is, just need to watch out what’s in you cup of water!!!

I really like grabbing hot pot here. You can tell that lots of people love it too, because it is always packed! As a tip, if you’re going for lunch, I recommend coming 15 minutes before opening to put yourself on the list. The extra time you wait in the beginning will save you an hour of waiting if you go later. For example, for my party of 7, we came around 20 minutes prior to opening(so 10:40am) to make sure we got a table. There is always a huge wait around noon, so be smart about it and get there early! Their food portions are pretty nice, however I wish they gave more meat in their soups. I recommend going for lunch because you get a free green tea/black tea with your order, and it’s a dollar cheaper than the dinner price. I always get the lamb hot soup, so if you’re in the mood for lamb, I definitely recommend it. If not, the Korean hotpot and the beef hotpot are also good decisions. If you’re in the mood for more food, and are willing to pay 4 $ more, I recommend the miso hotpot! Also, for a big party, make sure you bring cash because they don’t split the bill for cards that many ways!

What better place to go to when you’re hungry and cold than good old Boiling Point, or BP as id like to refer it by. This BP is conveniently located in a large shopping center where there’s plenty of parking to go around. The only problem is that this restaurant is very, very small. My friend and I came around 330 and we had to wait to get seated. Nothing sets this place apart from other Boiling Points, which is neither a bad or good thing. I decided to try the Korean Bean Paste, which now completed my run through every item on the menu. Food was good, service was fine, and atmosphere was normal. There’s nothing to complain about this BP location and id definitely come again if I’m here in the area. Eat well and prosper,

Yay Boiling Point! I think I have a review that I’ve written for the Irvine one but this here is for the wonderful Chino Hills one! Came here on a Saturday morning at 1055am(they open at 11am) and they already had a long line. What? A long line you said? How is that even possible? Apparently they knew that BP in CH had a long line on Saturday. This is for lunch too! Isn’t lunch til 12? But the Boiling point also is really small and has about 13 – 15 tables. We were Table #9. Ordered my go to, the wonderful seafood one(#2) and it came out in 5 – 10 minutes. The plate feels a little smaller than the one in Irvine, but at the end of the day, Boiling Point on a cold winter’s eve(okay we’re socal it’s not freezing) is still good. Plus you get a free green tea as well because you get it for lunch! At $ 11 as well, so the price is pretty good. Their clams had a little bit of sand in them. Their shrimp was good, the egg took a while to make, but you get to add one of(rice/vermicelli) to add to the pot. There’s a good amount of lettuce in there: D Tofu. Not a fan of tofu but it’s okay– make the hot sauce that Boiling Point gives out there and mix. Iz good. Make sure you come early because –huh huh– you’ll find out that people will be standing in line. The store is small too, but you get to get a lychee drink at the end :3 Yay(: Get a stamp card if you come to BP regularly! Located next to Thai Twist, near Guppy House and Coldstone/Crabby Corner.

2.5 stars. I’m very confused as to why this place is ALWAYS so busy. Right from the moment they open there is always such a long line and I don’t understand why. I finally had the patience to wait and see how this place was and I gotta say I was definitely not impressed at all. I hadn’t eaten the whole day so I was starving. Usually when I’m super hungry pretty much anything tastes like heaven so my standards were already set pretty low. But the taste of everything was very mediocre. I think the best thing I tried there was the black iced tea which came free with the meal. First of all, I hate the fact that they barely have any variety on their menu. I recently for personal reasons gave up pork and crustaceans and pretty much every item on their soup menu had pork or crustaceans in it and the only thing I was able to order was the vegetarian soup. I’ve been to many other hot pot places that have other selections such as salmon or beef and I was just really disappointed that this place did not have any of those to offer unless they were pre-mixed with pork. Their sauces did not impress me either and I really need someone to explain to me why the pots are so shallow. It made it a lot more difficult for me to eat because I was scared all the content would just fall out. I heard it’s to speed up the boiling process but I would much rather wait a little while longer and be comfortable eating from the bowl than worried about the tofu falling off. Some pros would be the strawberry and mango macaron ice cream sandwiches and the little shot of dessert drink they give at the end. The servers were all very nice too and I never had to ask for a refill on my broth because they were on top of that. This place isn’t the worst to go to but I seriously do not think it’s worth all the wait.

Boiling Point is a standard hot pot that is both good value and tasty. There’s no other hot pot place is as popular as this chain. Despite long line and not a lot of staff work here, the service is top notch and is often you get all the request or even before you ask them,. I think the quality is been downnhill despite the price is the same as before. They cutting corner in meat. But the broth is still good and better than most hot pot. To be is always the case if you gonna spend around low $ 10 then go Boiling Point. For more just go to AYCE one like Little Sheep.
