Dillon’s Restaurant & Irish Pub

First time here for a friend’s birthday. Good food and good dance floor with two bars. If you’re in the area and want to have a chill time, definitely worth checking out. Not bad for last minute planning if need be.

Walking into Dillon’s is awesome. Great people, friendly bartenders. Great beer!!! Sometimes bartenders make mistakes. Sometimes bartenders charge you twice for a round by accident. So what would you do? You would bring the situation to their attention… Begin Unilocal review:
So the owner of Dillon’s employs his daughter as the Sienor manager. Apparently when you discuss issues like these with her she instantly begins her period. I only assume this because when I told her I was over charged she made it seem like I was inconveniencing her evening. Ain’t this yo job you nasty little Huffle Puff? So she disappears into the back for 10 minutes to fix the problem, and I guess change her tampon, cuz changing the tab doesn’t take that long. During this time the bartenders warned he about her, and explained this was the owners daughter. Ahhhhh, it’s making sense now!!! So when she come back she puts the charged bill and my card in my face and says «here!» So when I told her even tho her daddy was the owner, she shouldn’t talk to customers like that. This made menstrual monster verrrrrry angry. She told me to «get the f$&@ out, and not to come back again» No problem babe, your a disgrace to the Irish culture. I did hear Guinness is a fantastic home remedy for menstrual cramping tho… Hmmm.
Also, they took our chairs from us at the bar to «make more space for other people» WHO DOES THAT?! That’s why we wanted to leave in the first place. DONT WAIST YOUR TIME!!!

I mean this place is okay LOL! I don’t know why everyone be hating. Probably had bad experiences or every time I’ve been there I was lucky. Bartenders always on top of it for me. The DJ was alright! I mean I wasn’t feeling most of his music. At one point his ass was taking a break and left his DJ set and the music just stopped playing and we’re all on the dance floor like uhhh wtf. He ran up there and started it again. HAHAHAHAHAH! WOWWWW! HOMIE! You can’t be taking a break like that. I just came here to chill. Sat outside and talked to my friends. Got some drinks and danced a little. HIGHLIGHT OF MY NIGHT WAS A DUDE IN A WHEELCHAIR! bruhhhh HAHAHH! He was getting down and some black girl came up and was dancing on him ON his wheel chair. YOOO! AT THAT MOMENT! I knew it was going to be LIT. LOL!

I was escorted out of the club because I wasn’t drunk. I did not do anything lewd or obsence or violent. They thought I dressed a retain way. (tight jeans and a hoodie) and assumed I was of a certain sexual orientation and then I was kicked out. Nice to know theres a club that discriminates against people who are different. Thanks for making that clear.

This place use to be popping. Not sure what happen the other night but hardly anyone there. I’m guessing no one wants to go out because the freeway was shutting down for 55 hrs. NO DRINKS ALLOWED IN THE PATIO! Why is that? Most places I’ve been too lets u bring drinks in the patio — this is a first. And it’s not great. My friends had to finish there drinks inside before they can come back outside. This place has 2 bars and a small dance floor. I’ve had bottle service here once but it felt like we were sitting in the dark.

We came here last night after having dinner at Ra Sushi. I’m not reviewing the food or anything since I have never ate here. The review is just based on the bar itself and it was dead last night. I’m not sure why it was so empty last night because at 11, the dance floor was pretty empty still. I’ve been here once or twice before and I’ve never seen it like that before. They do have 2 separate bar areas and tables for people to sit at. They have a dance floor area, but it’s pretty small. Also, the one thing that they don’t let you do is bring drinks outside to the patio area, even though we were just drinking water.

Crap service. The bartender was horrible. Not friendly, rushed to close a tab, and slow to get drinks. One person in our party got their food and 30 min later i got mine and it was all wrong and cold. Not worth coming to. This place sucks

Omg! It’s my first visit and for sure will not be my last. Walked in and was blown away by the bartender. Martha. Her personally filled the bar. Meet friends there they wanted to leave to try another place so we did but nothing compared. So we paid for out one and only round and came back to end the night with great drinks and awesome service. She made our night. Her wingman John had us in tears with laughter.

Apparently they don’t have a cover charge anymore since Christmas 2015, I can’t confirm but if true then I’d give it 3 stars instead of 2.

My boyfriend & I have been here a couple times & every time we come the girls (bartenders) are really friendly and super sweet ! Martha is amazing, she’s really great with customers! If really recommend this place

Just went there and service is horrible order the filet mignon and waited almost 40 min for it by the time it came out it was frozen in the middle. I’m not talking about not cooked in the middle it was literally frozen. Not good at all

Lots of room to walk around and enjoy yourself and get to know people and they have a good selection of drinks BUT their staff is horrible. Their bouncers are even worse. They thing they are too notch security protecting that most important person in the world or something. Would not recommend going here. 3 stars for having clean bathrooms, hard to find in bars these days.

I hate this place and I’ll tell you why. Here’s the short version: They don’t offer free tap water. Umm. what?! I know we are in a drought, but that’s illegal.
Long version: it was my friends birthday so we were all ordering a lot of drinks (it wasn’t like I didn’t plan on spending a lot of money that night. Plus my girlfriends and I had to pay a cover charge), but when I ordered my vodka soda with a water, they said they only have bottled. So I was upset. I went to a different bartender and he said the same thing! I asked to speak to a supervisor, and he was so smug when he told me I had to buy water if I wanted some. And he laughed at me for insisting that they offer free water at a bar. What about the designated drivers? Rude employees and Terrible management. Listen to your fellow Unilocalers and don’t waste your time. There are way better places in chino hills to get a drink.
That’s why I will never be back, I cannot wait to see this place shut down.

Here visiting from LA and decided to have a beer or two with my nephew. Cool looking place and bartenders are nice. Only complaint was when I ordered my second drink they, the management and bouncers (yeah bouncers at a Pub), LITERALLY Pulled the chairs from under us and made us stand. LOL who the Eff does that??? I asked the bartender and they said it’s a liability because it will get crowded soon. Umm okay. Maybe I’m used to the real Irish pubs and awesome gastro pubs in Los Angeles? Apparently it’s an Irish Pub themed Night Club. Not my thing but don’t take my word for it.
2 Stars for Cold beers and Hot bartenders.

Favorite place to watch sports events and as well party. I always have a great time. The staff is extremely friendly.
The food is awesome.

Decent bar/​club with large floor space to mingle. The bar layout and design is very modern with a considerable sized outdoor patio which most bars and clubs lack in Southern California.
The crowd was OK with good vibes and the DJ was great playing top 40’s and hip hop. I highly recommend this place to anyone semi-​upscale environment lots of cute ladies.

By far the worst bar in the area.
The cover charge for a DJ who plays off his iTunes library… get over yourself.
Bouncers take their jobs too seriously.
The bathroom attendant begs you for money. Get real. Get a real job. I paid $ 10 to get in here. Cry more.
The place smells, beer is cold at least. The girl with daddy issues that took my order got my beer within 45 seconds. 5 starts to the bartending. Everything else… avoid this place.
Save yourselves and go elsewhere. The management here run a racket and you are the sucker. Get outta here.

I used to like Dillon’s. They have a good selection of beer and their avocado fries are delicious. Also, Dillon’s is one of the only decent bars in the area.
However, they actually started charging a $ 5 cover charge on weekends. A bar charging for admittance. So ridiculous. They were known for their good selection of moderately priced beers, but even their drinks have gotten pricey. This is Chino Hills, not L.A. Get real.

So when I first visited this location I thought it was one of the best kept secrets of chino hills, but I must say on my last visit to this location I had a really bad experience. I wanted to show my bro who is visiting, this cool little spot. When we arrived the USC game was still going on so they still have the tvs down and everybody was at the bar.
Once the game was over they take the chairs from the bar and it turns into a nightclub almost. Well the bar was advertising a pitcher of sangria, that my brother and I wanted to try. We asked the bartender about it and she said she did not know what we were talking about and she would ask someone else. Well 10mins passed and she never came back. My brother decided to ask another bartender and she decided to sit and chat about it with the other girls.
It was a very frustrating experience, so we decided to move to the other bar in the back where we had a much better experience. Overall I will probably not be going back as often as I thought I would.
