Came here on Friday with a couple of my girlfriends. The djs were DOPE and the drinks were pretty cheep. I enjoyed the crowd and the food. There was a ton of ppl and the bartenders were hustling. If your a light weight(like me) be careful with the FISHBOWL. Got supper drunk smh. But over it was a fun time.

I found this place on Instagram from the explorer page, we were going to go to O’Donovans or RockIt! since my friend Lisa Crooks love those places. But our group wanted to check out something new so we decided to go to Metro Ale Bar which surprisingly is a very nice place. First time tonight and I can say that it was pretty fun, it wasn’t so crowded but good old crowd(25 years or older) at the downstairs bar called«Tavern!» Is Metro the only bar or club with an underground bar? That’s cool. We were greeted by two guys Marvin and Anthony who were working the bar and we started with Adiós, my other friend bought buttery nipple shots from Marvin. What was hilarious is these guys entertain you while they serve you by singing and dancing makes the atmosphere better! The guys there tried buying us drinks but we are happily taken :) I wish they played more salsa or reggaeton music since the DJ only played like 3 songs then changed it back to Hip Hop. Adiós was only $ 5.00 compared to $ 9.00 we pay at other places. Shots and Beers were cheap too but I didn’t drink anything. Next time I need to get the food because the aroma was in the air but I wasn’t hungry. We were also told to come check out their busy nights which are on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday’s or Sunday’s. Just next time make sure the women’s bathroom has enough toilet paper, other than that I need to bring my boyfriend here next time. Cool place, great bartenders, mellow environment and cheap priced alcohol.

I liked the place. Three stars generous, but only because I didn’t ask first: «Mayhem Mondays… $ 5 beers all night…» Nope. Not as advertised on a Unilocal post by their«director of marketing.» $ 8 beers. Didn’t stay for food.

Definitely my favorite part about downtown Pomona– whether I’m just looking for chill place to grab a couple of beers with friends or feeling like treating myself to some high quality food, this place is always on the top of my list. Great vibes, awesome staff, excellent service, this place has it all!

A buddy and I walked into this place on a Friday night around 9:30 p.m. Although the place was anything but packed, we went unnoticed for over a few minutes. We didn’t receive as much as a head nod or eye contact, even though we were standing right at the bar, in between two bartenders(who weren’t even serving, but seemed to be organizing or cleaning). Anyway, the music was LOUD and the atmosphere seemed more like a club than what I’d come to expect from some place called an «Ale House». My buddy and I decided to walk further down 2nd street to see what Pomona had to offer. As we were exiting the Metro Ale House, some guy who was dining out in the small patio area stopped us by shouting«You guys are going to regret leaving bro!» I turned around to say«Excuse me?» He informed us, in his opinion, that we were making a huge mistake leaving so soon as there was a plan to host a Victoria’s Secret giveaway later that night and that the place would be «packed with hot chicks». He then handed us two raffle tickets if we promised to return in a few minutes. We told him we wouldn’t make any promises, but he gave us the tickets anyway. A trio of women walked past us as we were taking the raffle tickets from him and he shouted at the women«VICTORIASECRETSGIVEAWAYLADIES!!!» The women exchanged questioning looks and continued walking away. I think they made a good call on that one. Anyway, I won’t knock this place for not being what I expected and«Ale House» to be like… some people like that club-like, «hook-up» type atmosphere. I’m going three stars because I went ignored for too long at the bar(again, considering it was NOT busy) and the way that guy outside was giving off that«creep» vibe.

We were in the area and wanted to catch a couple of football games and stumbled upon this place. They have a lot of beer on tap, that’s for sure, but our waitress has NOIDEA what they are or even the difference between cider and beer. She was clueless and slow with our service, and we even caught her playing on her phone quite a few times while on the clock. We had the fried zucchini and pretzels for appetizers and both were very good, but I don’t think we’ll ever return because of the horrible service.

I have come here a few times and have had mixed feelings about this place. BEER– Craft selection is ok. But beer just doesn’t taste fresh. Something off about it. Mentioned something today and they gave me a free beer but still didn’t taste as good as I know it can. FOOD– Decent. That’s all I can say. SERVICE– MEH, been here when they really attentive(slow), been here a couple times where I’ve see the manager(my guess. older man) make sure his regulars and special guest where served first. But after waiting for 20 min can be a real turn off. I walked away that day. HAPPYHOUR– Prob the best part… but still a coin toss Overall 3⁄10 Not my favorite place in pomona

First time here and I really enjoyed myself. I have the fish and chips and have to say they were pretty good. Not at all greasy. The fries were really good. Malt vinegar should be available but apparently was not. Friends had the pastrami and turkey sandwiches. Both said they enjoyed their food. Took a little longer than I would have liked. Perhaps it was because we were about the only people in the place and they did not have much up and running. We were there at about 1:00. Certainly will go back.

The food was okay, but slow service. Too many customers for one server. We had to get own refills, napkins, ask for silverware …

We had our 14th annual Christmas party here this weekend and it was the best venue we’ve had yet. We rented the top floor and had our own private bar/bartender, restrooms, patio, DJ(that we were allowed to bring in) and a beautiful buffet style taco bar including two different kinds of desserts. The top floor we rented overlooks the bottom floor, but still provides plenty of privacy and has its own separate entrance if needed. The space is divided into two rooms so although we had 30 guests there is plenty of room for more tables if needed. They have nice white leather couches, snazzy lights that hang from the ceiling and hardwood floors that give it an elegant modern look. The venue is also affordable which was a plus for our group as we divided the cost up per guest and handed out tickets that were good for 1 drink, dinner and dessert. The staff was also very accommodating and helped us set up before the party started. I highly recommend this venue.

Came into this place on a Sunday to watch the football games it’s a large place but not much activity they need to better market there Sunday’s specials to draw in the crowd a perfect place to lounge it has a bottom And a top the middle section is filled with tvs so you will catch your game but once the games were over it seemed like if the place was shutting down and they turned off the volume from the tvs which was kinda odd and it was just quiet and you can hear other people’s convos they didn’t even play any music the specials are good the food is good as well just need to market more and don’t turn off the tvs when the games are off made it weird to the point I left because I thought they were closing

If you’re ever in the Pomona area and you’re a sports fanatic. You gotta stop by the Metro Ale House. TVs Galore the staff is amazing and their breakfast burritos are the Bomb! Cold beer and an awesome burrito combined with some 10 am NFL football is a winning combination at the Metro Ale House. Come one come all. Great for family as well. Heads up to the chef James Zacarias cause he keeps me coming back for that breakfast burrito.

The service was a tad slow but not insufferable. The sliders, fried pickles, and pretzel sticks were all outstanding. The day was hot and the downstairs bar was at least ten degrees cooler. Looks like a great place to hangout. There are also beer specials.

We ate here last night. Me, my husband and in laws. I had my hearing alert/medical alert dog with me and the bartender was great. I missed her name(sorry happens with me), but she did ask if my dog was a service dog. It is always appreciated. I highly recommend the zucchini medallions definitely my favorite.
