Just moved to Chino and we were inquiring about places to eat. A friend suggested Taylor’s. We went and found the place to be unique. Service was fast and friendly. Mario was fast with the bread. Food was delicious! Definitely going back!

My husband and I went in Friday around 6:15pm. We were told the kitchen was closed. As we were walking out a young man saig the kitchen closes at 6:45 or 7:00pm. So, I guess they just didn’t feel like cooking.

Went for breakfast. Basque burger and chilaquiles were fantastic. They have a spicy salsa called chile de ana… Not for the feint of heart. Really good. Really hot. The owner Claudia and her daughter Catherine made the visit very welcoming… like a family gathering. I live 5 minutes fr here n have never been bc it’s a trucking diner but I’ll be back for the tri trip breakfast and rib eye for dinner.

Very delicious and I’ll actually be back! I got the chillakillas probably spelt that wrong but who cares they were fantastic and I added a chicken breast all on point!!! The reason and only reason for the 2 stars is because of two reasons, they lost a star for costumer service, I understand people have lots of, bad days but don’t bring it to work, second I literally watched her take my salsa take it in back and take to another table before I was done with it, just makes me wonder… If I dipped my fork into it with my chicken, who else has also dipped there things into this salsa of mixed tables. Fortunatley for, me I came early I think I was first on the bowl today so I’m good Honestly though the food is so good by itself you don’t even need salsa, but if you happen to be the first of the day order it, because both of there sauces have nice flavor

Awesome dive bar! Came in for breakfast with friends and it hit the spot. Breakfast burrito was delicious and drinks were good. Can’t praise the service enough– staff and patrons were so warm and friendly! Exceeded all of our expectations. If we’re ever in the area again we’d be sure to make another visit.

4 times in a row, we heard: your foods coming. 45 minutes later, still no food. Came here before and loved the food, this time the service wasn’t up to par. Had they reassured us by refilling our coffee and giving us an appetizer, we may have changed our mind. Eat here if you don’t mind the wait.

If you want a hearty, delicious, no frills breakfast, then Taylor’s Café is the spot for you. I found Taylor’s a couple years ago when I would work the early morning shift at work, and was always trying out new breakfast spots. While it’s not quite the hidden gem it used to be, most people still are clueless tht it exists. Every time I have friends visit from out of town, this is where I take them for breakfast. And not one has not been satisfied. I’ll keep the food portion of the review simple… best breakfast ever. I’ve only ever gotten breakfast… they serve it until 3pm, no 11am cutoff like some resraurants. I’ve really only ever ordered 2 or 3 things. My most common order: breakfast special with bacon, and a side of beans. Eggs are always cooked to over medium perfection. Potatoes crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. And the bacon… oh lawd. Hands down the best bacon I’ve had. Nice thick slices that are still crispy, but not hard to chew in the least. And you get 4 slices in an order. Take that Dennys. The refried beans are the cook Anna’s recipe… and very few beans I’ve had elsewhere can compare. Do yourself a favor and don’t get toast with your breakfast. Get their fresh french bread and butter. Simply amazing. I could literally eat that all day long. And if you like spicy… ask for their Chile de arbol salsa. It’s got a good kick, but still has tremendous flavor. Overall, the perfect combination of amazing flavors on a plate. Each time I tell myself I want to try something different, and each time I go back to my favorite order. If it tastes good, don’t change it, right? Lastly, I just wanted to write about Claudia, who owns the restaurant with her husband. She’s there every time I visit. Many times it’s just her, and Anna the cook, helping everyone out. She somehow manages to run the restaurant, as well as the weigh station attached to it. Start coming often enough and she’ll remember your name and order too. She puts her heart and soul into her work and it shows… just another reason why I continue to come back.

The only inconvenience is no parking. The place is a little run down, could use some upgrades. But I must say the food was delicious. I had the machaca plate, I haven’t had good machaca like this in years. The waitress was super nice! I didn’t get her name but I must say her customer service rocks! We will be going back.

If you don’t mind getting a little dusty(it is a weigh station after all), step into Taylor’s Café for some good comfort food. It’s a combination of Basque, Mexican and American food. The first thing they bring you is a plate of fresh baked bread with a generous slab of sweet butter. If you order the Basque breakfast, your bread will come with some amazing cheese too. Then comes the fresh made salsa… wow! I’ve had the pozole twice and it was delicious! You can also grab a drink from the bar while you wait for your order. It’s very laid back, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Love the food here! It’s a total hole in the wall & I never would’ve stopped her had it not been for my parents. The restaurant is actually attached to a weigh station for truckers & has a full bar attached. The menu is nice & simple but the food is so well prepared! Everything has a home cooked vibe — the potatoes are just like my mom makes, the refried beans are delicious, & the pancakes are perfect. Love the thick crispy bacon too. My favorite item has to be the park chops & egg — pork chops are seasoned well & not dry at all & my eggs were a perfect over easy. Be forewarned it can get a bit loud here since it’s just one big open space with the tables fairly close together but the food makes it all really manageable.

Amazing breakfast and an excellent friendly owner. You must get past the fact that it is a truck stop. Prepare yourself to be completely amazed. Breakfast has excellent price for excellent quality. Nice thick cut bacon. Perfect savory basque sausage. Burrito made to perfection with some of the best salsa one can get at a restaurant. Forget the«restaurant style» salsa you see at the grocery store, this stuff is legit. I must warn you, the salsa is very spicy! If you love spicy and want even more flavor, ask for the extra spicy salsa. This salsa has everything you need and pairs up perfectly with any breakfast item you choose. I am a student from WesternU and having found this place since I moved here has made a big difference. Breakfast is Amazing! Love Love Love this place. Be patient, mom pop shop.

Taylor’s Café is my new favorite!!! We walked in and my daughter says, yummmm I don’t want to eat here! I said lets try it, the reviews are good! Well despite the divey truck stop looking dark bar area. we arrived at 8am… and there were the few locals drinking coffee n chatting… we sat and were greeted by Claudia and given French bread n butter… yuUmmmm! I ordered the Basque Breakfast, 2 eggs, 2 thick applewood cut bacon, 1 Basque sausage which was fricken bomb!, and ham and breakfast potatoes!!! My daughter had the Basque omelette with bacon… we cleaned our plates… I swear, the food was delicious!!! Can’t wait to try more items and Saturdays try tip breakfast! Best $ 10 breakfast around!!! Moral of the story here is NEVER judge a book by itscover!

After several years and dozens of visits, I still think Taylors is the best around for a true authentic Mexican/American/Basque Breakfast for a reasonable price. They are also a lunch and dinner spot, I’ve only had breakfast though. My favorite item here is the breakfast burrito with bacon and their hot chile de arbol salsa. The burrito comes with your choice of protein, beans, eggs, potatoes cheese, or any combination of your choosing and its hefty-half will usually fill me up. Other Specialties include house made Basque sausage, steak breakfast plates on Saturday, huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, pancakes, machaca, chips and salsa, etc. There are really two businesses in one, a truck scale in the back and restaurant. The restaurant is super clean but dimly lit inside with a dark wooden interior. I opt for seating at the bar but there are tables as well. Claudia the owner is always so hospitable and Ana is the resident cook, she is really good at what she does. Claudia is a one woman hostess on the weekdays, so come in when you have some time and enjoy the unique experience.

Don’t be fooled by the run down building, or the open dirt lot. You NEED to try this place if you’re in the area. I popped in on a random Tuesday morning since I had business meetings in the area. Had breakfast and it was good! Very reasonably priced. Small staff was extra nice! Full bar.

I love places like this. Located on the edge of Ontario farmland in the middle of nowhere, the exterior may frighten some people away. It’s the sort of dive-looking place that you think, when you open the door, the jukebox will stop playing and the entire place will go silent as the locals turn to stare at you as you walk through the door. But no! Everyone is very friendly and you’re welcome amongst a room full of locals. The interior is minimalistic with dark wood wall paneling. The front half of the café is a bar and beyond the bar are several tables. It feels like a place where Walter White would come to meet Jesse. Our server, who I think is also the owner, told us to sit anywhere we wanted(we chose a table next to some old guys who were playing a dice game). She provided excellent service and was so nice — I really liked her. She was proud of her restaurant and the food they serve, you could just tell! And all the locals who walked in greeted her warmly by name. Great news! They serve breakfast until 3pm. Even though it was well past noon, I opted to go the breakfast route rather than ordering one of their sandwiches or burgers. While we waited for our orders we were given a basket of the best warm homemade chips and fresh salsa I’d ever had! I ordered the Pancake Special: Two gargantuan pancakes served with two eggs(I requested scrambled) and 4 thick pieces of bacon. It was an absolutely delicious and hearty meal. The pancakes were superb; I know it’s odd to praise pancakes but they really were excellent. I also asked for some iced tea. They provide unlimited refills so they just bring a quart container of it to set at your table to fill up your glass as often as you want; I love that! The prices are really phenomenal too. You’ll walk out of there stuffed without making a dent in your wallet. Incidentally, they do accept credit cards(I don’t think they used to). Pay at the bar when you’re done eating. My Unilocal app and Unilocaler reviews really steered me right on this place!
