Local divey bar. I don’t know why the other reviewers are beetches about this place. It’s a DIVE bar what else are you expecting? Probably something hipsterish?! Ef that. People come here not to be judged but to have a good time. In the corner of a semi-dying shopping mall. Plenty of parking. Anyways, it’s a local watering hole. People range from age 20′-50’s. Nice crowd, sweet bartenders. Cheap drinks, no draft. who effen cares?! Most domestics aluminum 16oz 3 bucks. $ 4.50 cocktails. Not crowded, jukebox and karaōke. Karaōke Fri-Sat 9 – 1:30pm. 2 pool tables. They serve food too, til about a certain time.

Definitely a locals place but not in a negative way. Heres the positives: Super friendly local crowd and bartender. Made you feel welcomed even though it was my 1st time. Music was great, not too loud and I sat at the bar table just enjoying my beer. Negative: since it is a straight dive bar and local, they haven’t invested in a draft system. Everything is bottled but the prices were a little steep. I may be prejudice but if I get a draft IPA22 oz for $ 7.00 at a nearby bar but pay $ 5.00 for a 12 oz bottle beer at the Hideaway, there really isn’t a comparison. That truly is the only negative. If they had a draft system there or charged $ 3.50 for a bottled beer, I would be there twice a week.

It’s okay $ 6 for a shot of Jack. After going here a few times I like this place. Patrons for the most part are friendly.

The new day bartender has lighten this bar up quite a bit! Good times day or night! If you could just drink on the patio it would be awesome!

Well best thing I could say is that the smoked out karaōke singers were entertaining… Should be called the shady hideaway… Unilocal reviews failed me this time!

No matter your age or what your into, your sure to make a friend here. Great drinks, good food, and more than likely if your from chino, you’ll walk in and end up running into someone you already know! And if you like to sing there is karaōke on Fri and sat nights. And of course the bartenders are great and work their butts off to get you your drinks fast!

I LOVE this place! The epitome of a dive bar! I’ve always had a good time here, and it POPS on the weekends. The service is excellent! Bar tenders are prompt and beautiful! You couldn’t ask for a better dive bar! If you want to get away and come to an environment where you don’t have to worry about being judged, this is the place for you!

I had lots of good times and talks with friends at this place. The bartender was always friendly and she knew us since we came in so much. It’s probably one of the better bars in the area, especially since Chino and Chino Hills doesn’t have as much of a nightlife as Pasadena, Rowland Heights, Fullerton, or any place like that. It’s an IE gem. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area.

The set up is pretty cool. It holds up to it’s name… a hideaway. Definitely awesome potential; however the bartender was extremely unfriendly to the point of almost scaring all the people we were with lol I also was not keen on the clientele but that’s just my opinion. Dive bars are always a hit or miss for each individual, I won’t be returning but I did hear they make very strong drinks and you pay next to nothing. So for the less fortunate trying to get faded with empty pockets… something to keep in mind ;)

As a dive bar this place couldn’t get much better. As a regular place to go party it has much to be desired. If you want a beer before sundown or late at night it can be exactly what the doctor ordered. Bar hopping? Add it to the list. I was quite surprised to find that the locals, which look like your typical dive bar locals, enjoy watching cooking competition shows. Like you could hear a pin drop as they watch Chopped and await the final decision on who gets the $ 10K prize. Then they all bust into thoughts of whether the right person won or not and how they — these 65 year old men who look like the closest they’ve ever come to cooking is to BBQ some hamburgers back when their kids still lived at home some 30 years ago — would have whipped up a crème brulé that would have dazzled the judges. Order a beer and sit back at the tables to enjoy the show at the bar ;)

I’ve been to dive bars! I enjoy the dive bar/neighborhood bar feel. I’ve seen reviews regarding dive bars. Then patronize those places. They don’t hold a candle to this dive. To divey for me and I’m not picky. Nice bartender is all I can come up with. She was cool and she was nice.

Place is about as hard core as it gets ! Being here is a hideaway from REALITY! This joint is really old, everything is busted up, has not been cleaned since they first opened. Beer is pretty cheap but only by bottle no taps, drinks taste pretty strong. If your going out on a date I would NOT go here. Maybe if you lived close by and wanted to walk here maybe… maybe…if that…

Pretty good dive bar. The crowd is a little beat up sometimes, but the drinks are really stiff and they make a great taco. The bartender Brook is pretty cool and cute. good place if you just want to hang for a bit and have a few drinks. Not really a pick up joint.
