Around 6 pm Friday Dec 4 I get a call from my wife saying the wheel of my Mercedes came off as she was driving. You can only imagine how horrible of a feeling it could be to get that news. Thankfully my family was safe.
I towed the car to Bonita Point Care that night and followed up the next day. I’m there sitting for 2 hours in the morning waiting for the owner to arrive. Gary the individual who received my car, said they were going to fix the damage and said I didn’t need to wait around. One of the owners is the one who actually did my tire rotation earlier that week. I Clearly heard him say he had no idea my lugs for custom wheels, screwed on from the back AND the front, I heard him say it was an honest mistake. (By the way, never came to talk to me). I left the place with promises to completely repair my damaged wheel, rotors and lugs on everything, and also my front fender which was «slightly bent»
When I pick up car, the only thing fixed was my the rotor. Do not under any circumstances change your wheels here. I wouldn’t even recommend an oil change. Absolute negligence on they’re part. When I picked up the phone, the owner Glory was trying to justify that my lugs aren’t the correct ones. Yet I’ve traveled everywhere with those wheels and lugs. It’s a justification to not admitting any fault !!!
Next step, will seek legal action.
It’s no wonder they have bad reviews.
My family including my kids could have rolled over, lives could have been lost and to not take any ownership in a serious matter like this is extremely upsetting. Please base your decision on real life situations.

Quick place to get Smog. You can find cheaper places but not as good as this place. Great friendly staff.

I am not one to write reviews, nor am I one to make a decision based on reviews I believe in finding things out for myself. Well let me tell you this place was horrific! Not only did they «fix» things that weren’t wrong with my car (got a second opinion) I took my car in for a smog check and they ended doing 1200 worth of work to top it off they kept calling me back telling me every time they fixed something something else needed to be fixed. Finally I had enough took it somewhere else explained to the person my experience and he checked my car and said it didn’t need the work they did and i was able to get a smog check right then and there no problems and passed! Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place they will suck you dry. I will be calling the federal Bussiness Bureau

I stopped in to fill up my tires and Eugene was so helpful! He saw me starting to use the self serve air compressor and since I was dressed nicely he didn’t want me to get all dirty so he offered to put the air in for me. In the process, he found that one of my tires was pretty low and he investigated it further. He found a nail in that tire causing my leak. He offered to fix it on the spot for only $ 15 ! Wow! Now that is Service, like the good ol’ days!
I was so grateful to him because this was the third time in one month that my tire indicator light went on. This time I knew something must be wrong, but I didn’t know what, how to find out, or how to fix it. Eugene fixed my problem before I could even start to figure out what to do! So awesome! Thanks again!

I had a 9 am appointment for an oil change. At 10 am, the guy working said they are a little behind and my car would be ready shortly. At 10:30 am, I see my car being brought in. I asked him if they are just getting started on my car now, and he replied yes, I told you we were a little behind. WTF?! A little behind! He then told me if I was in a rush they could just stop my car now. Seriously, that is awful customer service. I will never bring my car back. Might I also mention the 2 managers were at the front counter and not a word from them! Again, awful customer service! What is the point of having an appointment if you aren’t even going to start my car until an hour and a half of me sitting here wasting my time!!! It has now been 2 hours and I’m still waiting!!!

My mom comes here all the time and for the most part never had a problem. Today I took the car in for an oil change. I didn’t purchase any special type just the standard oil change. She told me it should be a little less then an hour. It took close to an hour and 45 – 50 minutes FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE. I understand everyone’s just Tryna make a business but do your work correctly and there wouldn’t be a problem.

Zero stars. I took my car here. The mechanics are nice and helpful, but when I talked to the «manager» Lori, she was absolutely rude and bitchy. When i tried explaining something, she didn’t even seem to care and walked away, no acknowledgment. She needs to learn her manners. My Co worker also came here before and said that he got in an argument with a skinny, blond lady, only for that to be Lori. This would be a good gas station if Lori learned some manners and wasn’t bitchy. No coming here again and I’m spreading the word to everyone I know to not come here.

This 5-​star review is for the service department, only. Had smog appointment, this morning. Laurie and Mike, the service writers, were exceptionally kind and professional. Smog check completed expeditiously. Fair price. Very satisfied. Highly recommend the service department.
Now… for the gas pumping area. 3-​stars. No paper towels for cleaning windows. Squeegees are falling apart and make a big mess on windows.

I initially had a good experience here when I first got my car smogged-​friendly staff, clean shop. I just referred my sister there to get her van’s starting issue fixed and they were complete douchebags to her– these crooks even ordered parts without her authorization! No honest shop does that. Now I regret referring people to this crap place. I don’t take mistreatment of my family lightly and this shop sucks bigtime!!! 1star rating is lowest possible to get the warning out on Unilocal but this place deserves no stars!

Really amazing service, they are very prompt. Really nice people they listen and answer all your questions. I got my smog done here and have been since two years ago. I recommend you make an appointment just to make sure or call ahead as early as possible.

Nice people, but they have no problem lying to your face. I went for a smog check (which they did a fine job of) and they said they did a courtesy check of my vehicle. Sounded great. Then they told me my transmission fluid was dark and should be serviced. This was a shocker to me because I had just had my transmission serviced less than a month ago. So I simply said thanks for checking it and I said I would have a look.
So I checked it for myself, right in their parking lot. Guess what? The transmission fluid is not dark at all. In fact it’s practically clear. I know what it should look like because I worked as a service tech will going to college.
This place always try to up sell me. If you want an honest reliable mechanic that won’t sell you crap you don’t need go to Allman family auto. You can find them here on Unilocal

Great guys, great service — they even put in overtime to fix my radiator so I’d have my car back same day :)

I just don’t get the bad reviews. I have been going here for years. This week I needed a smog test on my Chevy Silverado. I made the apt on line, they confirmed. I showed up about 10 min early for paperwork. Since I have been here many times I said be back in an hour. Came back in 35 minutes and it was done. Nice, friendly, efficient and professional. ‘nuf said.

Super rude cashier last night 8÷1÷14. I will still pump fuel here no doubt about that. I will probably just never come for service seeing the way the staff for the gas part is.

Decent place, my parents bring their cars here whenever they need a smog check.

I previously posted a review but it hit the not recommended reviews. Even so, I want to follow up on what transpired after I posted that review.
I gave Bonita Point 76 a poor review because they lied about what follow up service I needed. (They told me my cabin air filter was so filthy that it looked like it had never been changed. I had recently changed it and so I went back to the dealership and they pulled a clean cabin air filter from my car right in front of me.)
The people at Bonita Point 76 knew that I wrote the review, so they called and spoke to my husband (his info was on their records.) They wanted to clear up any confusion I had about the repairs. I was not at all confused. I knew they were lying to me. Again they had a condescending attitude. My only confusion would be — why would you lie to me?

This place sucks! I will never come here again, Beware customers they have Hidden fees! they told me one price then they added a gas cap for $ 35. They said half hour wait and I waited 2 hours! I won’t be back!

I’ll finish this later — just wanted to start this off with my initial experience. Made an appointment yesterday (Friday). Went in this morning for the drop off, and they obviously DID NOT know about me. I’m gonna give them a fair shake and see if they can take care of my brakes, transmission fluid change-​out, and two new back tires (which they couldn’t quote me on because it was too early).
Update #1 — Received a phone call from Gary 2 hours after I dropped it off… informing me that they do not have the tires I need in stock. So calling this place the day before so they have your tires in stock DOES NOT work. I’m gonna have them finish the transmission fluid change, and brake check… but won’t use them again, as now I have to dedicate some other day to the back tires.
They are nice enough, but will say what they need to in order to get you in the door.
Last Update — Overall decent customer service… I just don’t get the feeling they honor the «appointment» concept here. I’ll think twice before coming here again… but I couldn’t resist the closeness to home (I can walk/​bike to this location).
