Man oh man, the food court is not what it use to be seven years ago. The food court at CV mall use to have a McDonald’s Sbarro, Panda Express, a taco shop and some other crap. But, this last time I went, they had this joint and some Mexican fruteria and that’s it. There’s about four empty spaces for rent available. It’s sad. Anyway, I walked in and at that moment I wasn’t feeling it at all. I ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich which came with a bag of chips and I also bought a can soda. The whole meal came to about $ 7. The whole time while I was waiting for my food, the guy who was making my sandwich was on his cell phone the whole time. It was unsanitary for him to not wear any plastic gloves and to be on his phone. I should of told him something. When I took a look at my sandwhich, I was already disappointed with it. It was so small! The bread was tiny and it was skinny. It was like a miniature torpedo. The bread was soft but way to crunchy on the ends. It was hard to eat towards the end. The bell peppers were slimy and soggy. The meat was OK but it didn’t have enough of it. And, there was practically no cheese on that sandwich. The sandwhich sucked, and, the worst part, it was small. I didn’t like that customer service was bad, the guy on his phone 24⁄7 and the philly cheese steak was bad and extremely small. I won’t ever come here again.

Joe’s Pasta is in the food court of Chula Vista Center up on the second floor. Came here for lunch today, and had a pasta/salad combo, which comes out to about $ 10. Got penne with their chipotle cream sauce, bell peppers and mushrooms. i also ordered olives but they were out. their Tijuana Caesar salad was good, and both came with a nice amount of sprinkled cheese. the chipotle cream sauce is not bad, and does add a little bit of heat. Service was so-so. No one was at the counter when i first came in, slightly after 2 pm. Later on, a teenaged girl came in and asked for a spoon, and the lady at the counter prodded her into having to say please first. Lack of courtesy on one person’s part shouldn’t automatically spill over into lack of courtesy on another person’s part. Also, their chairs, which are the same both in the small interior dining area and out on the food court are wire chairs that are not really that comfortable. i guess no one will steal them then. decent food, so-so environment. but in this food court, there’s not a lot of actual full dining options. they do take the 4 major credit cards though.

This is a small joint inside the mall food court. I will therefore keep it short and sweet. The food was very good The price was extremely good — less than $ 6 It is easily accessible from either side of the mall — then just upstairs next to the theater. The staff was very friendly and made the food to order — adding more olives, pasta, and broccoli as desired. The place was also very clean There wasn’t a lot of ambiance since it is a food court shop, but for great prices, good food, and a friendly staff, it makes you wonder why so many restaurants spend the big bucks and always go out of business. These guys seem to have their«****» together.
