The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Can’t comment too much on the food because it’s the same at every Olive Garden you go to. I do have to say that the staff knows what they’re doing and the synergy was felt upon walking in.

You guys have stepped up your game and I like it! This place has gotten better in time. The service is great, the lunch specials are awesome and I am definitely pleased with that. I wish there was a way that the waits weren’t too long but I guess there’s a lot of people enjoying the food so much! Fettuccine alfredo is great, tour of Italy is everything you need.

Well, I’d like to start off by saying we walked in the door at 11. And didn’t get sat 1110 while the host just stayed there. After talking to a very UNAPOLOGETIC manager she comped an appetizer. But our server Gladys was amazing. Literally from start to finish we were wowed by her service. She made our rough start almost forgettable with how fast and professional she was.

Today, went to the Olive Garden in Chula Vista Mall after a movie with my grandson.(Haven’t been here in quite a while.) Must have hit a really good day, because the greeters were great, service was fabulous, and the food wasn’t bad at all. Was kind of surprised to read some of the bad reviews, but customer service is VERY important to any establishment and should be taken seriously by management and corporate levels. P. S. Our server, Raymond, was good and should consider moving ahead in the industry!!!

food taste great, BUT I’ve ordered to go over 3 times and it’s NEVER ready. I always have to wait another 20 – 30 mins on top of the time it says it’s suppose to be ready. they always give me some excuse. NOT ordering from this location again.

If I can give them no stars I would, very poor service and food is served really cold. Management needs new management, and they are very rude!!!

Salad and breadsticks. Eggplant Parmesan. Decent service. It’s a chain restaurant so pretty dependable. But I don’t come here anymore because of their corporate politics.

I really don’t have anything too negative to say about this place. Been here many times and go mostly for the salad and bread sticks. The waiter was great. We’ve never had bad service here. The minus one star is for the old carpet in the restaurant. I think it’s time to change it out. I can tell because it does smell a little and shouldn’t when you’re trying to enjoy a meal. So, to management: change it out!

The food was So-So, the young man that waited on use was exceptional. He was very good, and he was worth more than what they pay him per hour. I believe his name was Allen I, but I am not sure but he was awesome, and he knew the menu backwards and forwards. The food was good but over priced. For what it cost us $ 52.25, plus sales tax and tip for a total of $ 67.72(included 20%Tip) for two dinners an appetizer and two glasses of Ice Tea, we could have gone to Denny’s and feed ourselves and 4 of the beggars that hang around outside the front door. And left a 35% tip. My complaint about Olive garden is their practice of telling you what to tip. Being able to pay at the table by swiping your own credit card is okay, but then it(their CC terminal) tells you that they expect 20% tip. If Iwant to leave a good tip I will. But I do not like being told how much I have to tip their employee! For that reason I will not go back, and having to wait almost 25 min. for a table for two when the return is basically empty really sucks. Their chairs are very uncomfortable and have wheels on them, had to ask for a straight back chair.

I don’t tend to go to, let alone write reviews for chain restaurants, because honestly… what’s the point. If you decide to go to one of the chains the only reason you are looking on Unilocal for the restaurant is for the address closest to you. however I found myself at this olive garden tonight because me husband was craving the breadsticks here(I don’t know why since I don’t think they are so great to crave in the first place. got to the restaurant and the wait was 30 mins for 2 people, we decided to sit at the bar however the only 2 open seats were filthy so we sat at a table within the bar area. We sat for enough time to decide on what we were going to order and waited for the bartender or someone to come take our order. After a few obvious minutes of us looking around for someone the bartender tells us that there is no one taking care of the tables and if we wanted service we had to sit at the bar, we told her we would’ve had there not been such a mess of people’s leftovers that have been sitting there since before we first sat. After that it was pretty much smooth sailing, you can’t go wrong with the salad and my husband was content with his breadsticks lol. I had the Lasagna and i was actually very happy and finished it all. Husband ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and grilled chicken, he said it was a little plain but was still good enough to clean his plate as well. No drinks for us or dessert for this evening even though the tiramisu looked divine.

So we came for my Grams 74th birthday cause thats what she wanted. I haven’t been in a few years cause of my gluten sensitivity. Probiotics saved me but that’s an entirely different story. First of all, our waiter Elmer was Awesome! He was the nicest person ever. My Cesar salad was drenched with dressing & I couldn’t eat it, he brought me another with no problem. My mom’s Cesar was brown even in the middle of the end of the salad, you know the part you throw away that should NOT be on your salad, he brought her another no problem. Oh, right y’all wanna know how the food was. Salad was okay. The Cesar dressing was way to tangy, not the normal kind that I like. Croutons were yummy, some kind off cheese flavor. Yummy to the tummy! I ordered chicken marsala which I think is good but it’s for lunch tomorrow. I tasted the sauce & it was yummy. My fork had a little garlic parmesan mashed potato on it… I licked it… Yummy! I ate 3 breadsticks, half Cesar salad &3 glasses of water. I’m full & I’m pretty sure there is a food baby in my belly. I reckon I’m extremely satisfied! Ask for Elmer, he’s an opera singer & sang Grams happy birthday like a Rockstar!

I often get a good service when I come to Olive Garden. I ordered the tour of Italy(pick your own) & it was delicious! The salad never fails. The salad is always crunchy and super good just like the warm buttered breadsticks! Our server did a pretty good job with the service and I always typically get the same service just different people. I think coming to Olive Garden during the week is the best because it is not too busy.

Today we decided to go to Olive Garden. It was delicious and fresh, however, the only downfall was the service. The waiters we had were decent but the rest of the staff was unwelcoming and rude.

This place is HORRIBLE !! If I was able to rate this place a negative 5 star, I so would have. To eat at a restaurant during a Friday night, you’d expect to wait a little longer than a usual weekday. We told the hostess that there were 9 people in our party and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. Unexpectedly 2 more people joined our party. We let the HOSTESSES(YES…hostesses because there was a total of 6 hostesses standing at the hostesses counter) know this 10 minutes into our original wait time. They then tells us that it would be an hour and 45 minute wait. WHOA! I would understand an hour but an hour and 45?!(Who would really wait that long?) Then they give us such a lame excuse. There reason now because of such a big group they had to place us in a specific room. They couldn’t accommodate us by putting 2 tables together in the other rooms. We speak to the manager and this lady didn’t have answers to any of our questions let alone suggestions. All she kept saying was, «I don’t know.» She didn’t know anything. In my head I kept thinking, «why do you even work here if you don’t know anything?» Customer service and worth ethics in this place is AWFUL. They really need to train there staff on customer service and team work. Maybe if there wasn’t so many staff members behind the hostess counter there service would be a tad bit better. No restaurant needs 6 people behind/beside the hostess counter, they can be helpful else where. Hire a new manager who can handle the job and maybe things will run much smoother. While waiting a total of 20 minutes we decided to make a call to BJs Restaurant located at the same shopping mall. Made reservations over the telephone. Waited for 15 minutes and was seated. If you want a restaurant that actually lets you make reservations. Wait time is not out of this world!(For more than 4 people in your party) Great staff, a wide variety of food(deliciousness) and a fantastic atmosphere… go to BJs Restaurant(619) 591‑2490. They too serve Italian food and Pasta.;)

So so so so so so sooooooo disappointed with our meal. We went out as a family for my hubby’s birthday. To start off we had to wait over 20 minutes(but the restaurant looked empty). Ok fine. We’ll take the kids to the bathroom and to wash hands. Sat waiting. And waiting. We finally get seated. NOONE comes by forever(it was more like 5 – 10 minutes) to greet us or get drink order. Our server breezes past, not stopping, saying she’ll be back to get drinks. Another 5 mins go by and she FINALLY decides to come by.(She only had 1 other table, she was too busy talking to coworkers) she took our drink order and started to leave but I knew she wouldn’t be back anytime soon so I called her back to order food. The food came out, I was do disappointed. It looked gross. Is it just me or has the quality of this establiment gone down hill? The food looked like it was microwaved. It was disgusting. I normally would’ve complained but our kids were acting up and I didn’t want to embarrass my hubby, esp on his bday. We paid the check as fast as we could and got out of there. We won’t ever be back. I’m hoping it’s just this location and not the restaurant in general.

Wow. First off, I realize that no one comes here expecting haute cuisine from Northern Italy, Po Pazzo or even Mona Lisa here in our LITTLE Italy. Olive Garden is kind of… Welllllll… They’re kind of the Chili’s or Applebee’s of Italian food. And that’s not a BAD thing– Olive Garden has always been a clean and well-served spot for some quick and decent pasta and salad. SO… My expectations were, let’s just say, realistic… when I went to this Chula Vista center-located spot today. We were not greeted upon entry, and I had to approach the two gossiping girls at the podium for help. The restaurant was not busy at 11:30, which was odd, although it started to fill up a bit later. On our way to being seated, I immediately noticed that the carpet was old and smelled quite musty– Kind of like when you shampoo a filthy carpet and you get the combo smell of detergent and filth, combined. This place is badly in need of a renovation. Worse, the chairs are ALL seedy and worn on the fabric chair backs, many with grease and food stains. Horrible– This is an automatic deal breaker. Our server was polite and prompt, although not knowledgable about menu options and unable to pronounce several basic food terms. The food was not as bad as the chairs or carpet; BUT… the salad was not leafed or cut well, and the soup was lukewarm at best. My Fettuccine with Chicken was poorly sauced and nearly dry, with a grand total of 3 pieces of rubbery chicken spread about. My lunch partner had the bottomless soup and salad, and was unimpressed with the poorly assembled salad and the cold soup. Overall a C-minus. Not really enough to make a scene and complain, but… Management: You need to get an eye on the prep line and who’s OK-ing fired plates to go out– You have a luchtime quality control issue. EVERY nasty seat in your store needs to be replaced– They are disgusting. The carpet stinks. Really? I KNOW that the standards set by corporate are far higher than this. This Unilocaler won’t be back until this place gets cleaned, and properly.

I hadn’t been to Olive Garden for the longest time until just today, for Mother’s Day. My mom decided on Olive Garden, and it was her first time – she loved it, to say the least. We were told that the wait was going to be an hour to an hour and a half, but it only took 30 minutes. That, of course, made my family extremely happy. Our waitress, Lizbeth, was a sweetheart. She was very patient and never failed to smile. There was even a complimentary wine tasting – a free taste of a red wine. The special that was occurring was $ 10 for certain dishes, with unlimited soup or salad. The salad came in a big bowl with plenty of plates to share, and the soup came in separate bowls. The one my family specifically chose was one with chicken and vegetables… Heaven. I was the only one who didn’t get the $ 10 special! I got the chicken marsala, which had a similarity to my favorite dish from The Cheesecake Factory: chicken madeira. In addition to it, I got a strawberry passion limonada and it has that Italian soda taste to it. It all went together so well! Overall, it was a great first time experience for my mother on a special day.
