Taqueria Jalapeno

Ok, the service is really great here but the shrimp jalapeño burrito has changed forever I suppose. Definitely won’t be ordering it again as it is too dry and doesn’t have the same sauce that it used to. The jalapeño burrito on the other hand is loaded with nicely charred carne asada and almost tastes like a philly cheesesteak burrito with guacamole. Will have to come back and test the chilaquiles again as that had been one of my favorites too.

If you want really good food and great customer service at a good price this is the place you want to go the staff is amazing (I think but not sure it’s family ran). There friendly and welcoming I enjoy it when I go here but my last visit I had a very good surprise they told me they made the hot sauce a bit spicy and this was music to my ears. Spicer the better I loved it great job

It’s pretty good for a quick bite especially with a buy one, get one coupon. Nothing stand out as amazing just decent quick food for a good price.

Me and my girlfriend were at Otay and wanted to try this place out. We have seen it numerous times when coming to this mall and wanted to give it a shot. The customer service was good and the food was just as good. I ordered a Lengua, Chicken & Fish tacos while my girlfriend ordered the Shrimp Tacos (which were amazing). The price ended up being around $ 17 and will most likely come here again if I’m in the area and in the mood for a street taco.

Last time I had food poisoning this bad was 25 years ago! Cross contamination or food storage temps must be bad. Not sure? Maybe just unlucky

Wow ! … I found good tacos in Otay Ranch Mall … Look no further for adobada tacos on Wednesday or any day, though I believe they are on sale on WEDNESDAY only :) …stopped here for the first time earlier today with my daughter and we are happy to have found a new place to have tacos :). . We also tried A TACO LOCO which is more of a snack, dessert… But delicious and refreshing … Perfect for our taste buds :)… Place is clean and customer service was great. Some of the prices are a bit over price. I say If u want to pay less you can go to a taco shop but I bet it will not be as fresh and it will be super greasy. So price is okay if you want to eat FRESH AND NOT COOK it YOURSELF :)

Love eating here! This is our new little go to for quick, wonderful Mexican food close to our apartment. Prices are good, the food is awesome and the staff is really nice.

$ 1 taco wed. Includes fish and pork only. Fish taco were generous filled for $ 1. Pork taco were as expected, cilantro and onion and a little guac. If I’m in the area again, I will come back.

Tried this place because my sister said it was pretty good. Wanted to have a quick bite to eat before a movie, and was not disappointed. The service was awesome and attentive. The food was really good and inexpensive. Was also made quickly.
Other good things:
1. They have weekly specials.
2. They give you (I believe a 10%) discount if you pay with cash instead of card.
3. They are probably never busy considering the location in the mall.
I would definitely eat here again. You can also download the app «LiveDeal» and get an additional discount. Awesome!

3 tacos for $ 5.20 with creamy guacamole, onions, cilantro and hot off the grill. I’m sold and I didn’t even have to bust out a Sentry card for it. This little corner taco shop is filled with the tired shoppers who trekked all the way to the «REI» end of the mall. Order a few tacos, tortas, or sopa, and then you will receive your number. Stock up on some salsas in the stainless steel salsa holder and then you will be set. I tried these 3 which I will list in pageantry order:
1. Carne Asada– char grilled
2. Birria– I ate that baby in 2 bites. It’s so juicy !
3. Fish — deep fried & too battered
Some of the other locals were enjoying some hot soup on this first day of winter and I’ll be sure to get that the next time. It looked yummmmmmmy.

This place has delicious adobada tacos and cali burritos. It’s a must to try. I’ve been on a weekday for casual dining, and on a Saturday night, don’t be surprised if its crowded.
It’s kind of a hidden spot in the mall. All the way at the end by the dog park and REI.

What’s cool about this place is that if you’ve missed Taco Tuesday (where fish tacos are only a $ 1), they have taco WEDNESDAYS! I do not believe they actually call it that, though… But on Wednesdays, not only do they have $ 1 fish tacos, but $ 1 adobada tacos, as well. And the tacos taste great. What a steal!
The people are very friendly, as well. I’ve been here less than a handful of times just for the Wednesday special, and I am satisfied every time. Next time, I should try something else…

This place is located in the Otay Ranch Mall. In addition of providing a variety of Mexican and domestic beers (
), the also serve up some fine Mexican fast food. On Tuesdays you can get street tacos for only $ 1.35 each. (

The grilled chicken taco was very good. It came with larger chunks of all white tender chicken that were nicely grilled and had descent seasoning. (
) The splattering of guacamole was mild and the guacamole was more runny than chunky, but still tasty nevertheless. (
) I thought the taco could of used a little more cilantro and onions, but no harm.
The al pastor or marinated pork were quite tasty and the meat had a nice char that added to the flavor. (
) The meat was well marinated and had great flavor. To my surprise, there was not much fat on the meat, but the meat was still tender and juicy. These too were splattered with the tasty runny guacamole. (

The lady who took my order was pretty nice. She was busy taking phone orders and such, but still provided good customer service. They have LCD’s showing soccer matches if you like that sort of thing, and if you like street tacos. (

I love the adobada tacos here. I am picky with salsa and the salsa here isn’t bad. It’s clean and the staff are friendly
