My first time here and definitely not the last! I tried the pork ribs with a side of green beans. The bbq sauce was amazing as were the ribs temselves. The beans were also delicious, but I wish they had not been cooked quite as much. I would have given this place 5 stars, but the cashier was moving at a snail’s pace which is unacceptable when I only have a limited time for lunch. At least the food came out pretty fast.

This place has gone downhill since the fire. The BBQ used to be high quality, but now it’s just mediocre. The moist-brisket wasn’t very moist, and the sausage was also overcooked. Not bad, if you’re in a BBQ mood and don’t want to drive any further, but I would rather drive elsewhere.

Took my Mom for lunch and both ordered the«brisket» sandwich. If you like bread and a few fatty pieces of meat then this is the place. Won’t be back.

Fabulous meat! The brisket and chicken were very well prepared! The sides left a little to be desired and there was no cornbread, but that’s definitely an after thought to the meat!

Good BBQ but not great. Ribs are way overpriced and were burnt and crispy. They charge $ 4 per bone so you might as well get the pound for $ 14, which is what they probably want you to do anyway. Chicken was dry and didn’t have much flavor. The sides were good. Overall it’s not the best but it is good. Might be back in the future.

Some of the best BBQ in town(from SA& surrounding areas) @ an affordable price! When you walk up you can see the pit smoking in the back, the menu bored is pretty helpful even offering kids meals. The lady at the front counter is super sweet & helpful. My husband and I shared the brisket & sausage sandwich plate with delicious cream of corn & green beans, both left stuffed! Our son enjoyed the kids brisket plate with chips & a drink. We went back a week later & cannot stop telling people about this place.

Finished up class at Lackland and made the drive out here for one final stop to a BBQ joint. Out of the 3 I tried, Rudy’s, Big Bibs and Harmon’s; Harmon’s is by far the best! We had lunch and I went with the ½ lb sausage, ½ lb brisket and creamed corn. Including pieces and bites of green beans and pork ribs… Amazing!!! The experience was great, staff was very helpful and nice. I wish this spot was recommended to me earlier, i would have gone several more times. Nonetheless, this will be a mandatory spot to go if I am ever in this area.

Yum. We have a friend who comes over once a month and he always asks us to get him Harmons. It’s the best! Be sure to try their cream corn and coleslaw. You will not be disappointed.

Now this is some amazing BBQ! A 4-meat plate with 2 sides, 2 drinks, and a pound of ribs(which is 4 ribs… I know, it doesn’t sound like a lot… but it is!) was $ 33 and filled us both amply! The pulled pork was moist and mouth watering as was most of the brisket(the more lean parts got a touch dry). The sausage was just perfection. The chicken was good but a little plain when you get past the skin. The pork ribs were huge, almost verging on beef rib size. Very nicely seasoned and smoked. BBQ sauce was on the side which is the way I like it, rather than being dumped on falsely providing the only real source of flavor. The sauce was mild and light yet not ketchupy. Sides of coleslaw(though we ordered potato salad) and creamed corn were very good. They were out of peach cobbler at 2PM on a Wednesday which was both surprising and disappointing. Not to much of a problem since I was full anyway… and I’ll definitely be back!

If I could give more stars, I would. The brisket. The chicken. Even the onions and pickles. The sauce. Top f’ing notch. I’ve never had bbq like this before. A train went by for at least 10 minutes. Beautiful country setting. Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew there, awesome, but that’s Texas I suppose. Lovely young lady from Inglewood Los Angeles was working there when I went(oh, which was actually 3 times, 2 summers ago-2014-when I was there for work). I’ve sent all sorts of people there, too, LOL. DUDE. so good. I’m not doing this review justice. But I’ll tell you this, I would fly LA to Austin/SA just to gorge myself on BBQ here. :p

Best BBQ ever. Found this place by chance on Google. Mmmmmmmmm! So good. More then just the BBQ, all the food was spectacular. I am not sure how they do it but even the side dishes were to die for. I am writing this review almost a year after our visit there because their food is still on my mind after all this time. I was reminded of my Unilocal account when I found myself in need of writing a poor review of another business. This is top notch BBQ. I highly recommend it. I only wish I could give it more stars. Oh, and I wish it wasn’t like 3000 miles away from where I live. If you are ever in San Antonio, visit the river walk, visit the Alamo and then go for a short drive away from town and eat at Harmon’s BBQ.

Was born and raised in Texas and was back in Texas visiting after being out of state for a few years. Perfect! Had the Brisket, turkey, and green beans! Amazing!

Harmon’s is located in a quaint part of old Cibolo. The building is a perfect setting for a Texas BBQ joint. Has a faint resemblance of Louie Mueller in Taylor. This is my 4th visit and I wanted to give it a few runs before making a final judgment. Bottom line: the food is very average. The brisket is fair. The ribs are almost always dry and overcooked — consistently burnt in certain spots. The sausage is completely forgettable. There is no spice or flavor. The saving grace may be the sauce — which is ironic in Texas as it is a sauce adverse state. The staff is generally friendly. Service is a touch slow. The sides are standard Texas BBQ fare. I’d say Harmon’s is on par with your average Rudy’s(not counting the one in the Forum in San Antonio — that place is truly terrible!) Having been to the«great» BBQ places in Texas I can say that this is no where near those spots. Franklin, La Barbecue, Louie Mueller, John Mueller are truly in a league of their own and Harmon’s cannot contend with that level of craft.

If you’re at Randolph AFB, this is definitely the place to go for BBQ. The food is to die for and it’s family friendly atmosphere that really makes this place a local favorite. I’ve always enjoyed their brisket and ribs, but you can’t go wrong with any of the selections. Not a touristy place, so expect plenty of locals here.

Very good brisket… a nice change from the other barbecue places I go to. I got the brisket plate which comes with 2 sides. I got the potato salad and creamed corn, both were good. You also get a good amount of brisket for what you pay which is $ 9.75 or so. I’ll have to come back and try their other meats, sides and desserts.

I managed 8 classic Central Texas joints in 4 days: and Harmon’s was fantastic all around. The brisket, though a tiny bit dry, had an amazing black bark and the perfect amount of Texas Rub. I’d wager that it’s not wrapped at any point in the cook — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If it’s wrapped, it must be towards the very end for just a short time. The chopped pork was unbelievable; with a nice layer of bark and perfectly rendered thin fat. Sausage was more of a red hot kielbasa style and delicious. 1st place: Franklin Barbecue, Austin 2nd place: Cranky Franks, Fredericksburg 3rd place: Harmons, Cibolo 4th place: Blacks, Lockhart 5th place: Louie Mueller, Taylor 6th place: Kreuz, Lockhart 7th place: Smittys, Lockhart 8th place: City Market, Luling An update: I’ve heard from several Unilocal users who question my Harmons 3rd place award LOL. Listen, I call it as I see it but will acknowledge that consistency is always an issue with many barbecue joints. My father in law lives only a mile from Harmons and has had some bad experiences there along with the good ones.

Best BBQ I’ve found in the Schertz/Cibolo area. Located on the quaint and quiet Main Street in Cibolo this place has great BBQ. The prices are reasonable and the staff is courteous. I had the chopped sandwich with cream corn. The portions were large and delicious. The only reason this place doesn’t get 5 stars is the wait time was rather long but worth the wait. If you’re in San Antonio, this place is worth the drive.

First visit. The bbq was amazing!!! We ordered the family meal. 1 lb of brisket, whole chicken, a ring of sausage. Three sides. Sausage was so delicious. Crunchy skint with juicy tasty center. Brisket was tender. Pork ribs were prefect!!! Chicken was tasty. Ordered cream corn, slaw and green beans. Cream corn was tasty with a touch of sweetness. Cole slaw was amazing!!! We wanted potato salad but they were all out so we got green beans instead. It was really salty. We didn’t end up eating it. Fresh brewed tea and self serve soda bar. Pickles and onion bar. Plenty of desserts on the menu. My family and and I enjoyed the food. Prices were reasonable. Family owned restaurant. 1 star for bbq 1 star for facilities 1 star overall 1 star for clean restrooms. Register service could of been with a smile. We were new and never been here before and had no clue how things work. She could at least greeted us with«hi welcome have you been here before?» She could of also thank us for coming. Other than that. It could of been 5 stars.

This BBQ will change your life. Ambience: large back seating area and seating in front. Handsome buffalo on the wall and art to keep you entertained. And the smell of BBQ all around! Great home style feel adjacent to the railroad tracks! Parking on the street out front or lot in the back. Now on to the food! Must haves: cream corn is a must. Potato salad was good as well. They have a BBQ Mac and Cheese special that is simply amazing. Cheese on top with pulled BBQ and macaroni underneath served in a bowl. Gotta get it before they sell out! The dry ribs were great. On the salty side with the ends resembling jerky consistency. Delicious! The brisket was moist and juicy. Add some Harmon’s sauce and you’ll be forever hooked! Lots of menu choices all around. Don’t forget to grab a cold beer. Happy employees and cheerful customers make this the go to spot for BBQ. Already planning our next visit! See you for dessert!

yum!!! come hungry or bring a friend; texas sized portions. I was in town for an estate sale and was lured in for lunch by the awesome aromas coming from this joint. got a sausage sammy — lot of bread, but the hoagie was soft. ended up eating it more open face. sausage was flavorful and moist with just the right amount of «grease» factor. tried the peach cobbler — I like a LOT of crust, but this portion was way too crust-y, hardly any peaches and pretty dry. maybe just a bad dip of the spoon. service was fast and very friendly.
