After having been back a few time I am giving this place a solid 5 stars. It is one of our new favorite places. This is a cool, small bar with upscale bar food. A very nice selection of beers with a knowledgable staff(well there was one guy working– but he knew his stuff) The décor is nice with cool antiques in a residence turned hipster bar. The upstairs is nice with a lovely river view. The down stairs is well appointee and close to the beer taps. The music was fun– brass band versions of rock and pop songs that would make any high school band nerd lose their freaking mind. The truffle Mac and cheese was delicious. The house salad was very tasty. On a second visit, after discussing with our waitress about being vegetarian in a burger place– she talked to the cook and he was willing to make any burger vegetarian by replacing it with a portobello mushroom. It was amazingly delicious. Parking is very easy either right in front or in the lot across the street. In a previous review I’d complained about the prices but I have since learned everything is hand made and prepared in house. The food is very good.

I tried River Brew per recommendation I got from someone and I’m very glad I did. It was a nice early evening, so we sat outside on their patio. It’s a smaller place, limited seating inside as well as the patio outside. Parking is on the street. Our waiter was Will, and he was great! Very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was more then willing to help suggest alcohol to pair with our meals, or suggest something similar to your normal favorite drink. I got a cider he recommended which was really good. My dad got a peanut butter beer(sounds so weird) but he said its the best beer he’s ever had. Dinner was delicious! I got the Crispy Buttermilk Amish Chicken. Phenomenal. Cooked perfectly, the breading on it had honey incorporated, my mouths watering thinking about it. So incredibly good! My brother got the Fish and Chips, Dad got the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich, and my brothers girlfriend got the Turkey Goat Cheese Sandwich, and we finished off with sharing the Dark Chocolate Brownie. Everything was really good. We got there early wasn’t too crowded, it definitely picked up as the night progressed. Definitely a place to check out. Price a little steep but food was great. Drink selection had lots of options with plenty of knowledge from the waiters. Check it out, it was a good time!

Soup, salad and cider with my friend. My tab was $ 24 and we didn’t even get to sit outside. I hear they have music.

I have always wanted to stop by this restaurant. Always seemed interesting. I enjoyed the environment. A little house converted. Which was pretty neat. I had the gumbo, which was great! Although, a pretty small portion for such a high price. I was actually not willing to get anything else though because the prices were pretty high on everything else. Which is probably my biggest complaint. Everything seemed pretty expensive. I would have wanted to try other things as they looked pretty exciting. But hard to justify. Looked like a great beer choice. I’ll reserve more stars for when I get to try more things.

This is a great little place. Kind of like that small town you love so much, but if you blink you will miss it! Inside you can’t miss on the staff, food, or live music. The food was really good with amazing flavor. No way you could leave hungry. The selection of craft beer was very unique and desirable. I had the Poutine and it shot me to Louisiana with its kick and savory flavors. We can’t wait to go for another visit!!!

My girlfriend and I went to BrewRiver for restaurant week. We arrived around 7pm on Friday and were seated right away. We sat upstairs and were pleasantly surprised by the amount of room in the restaurant. For dinner, I ordered the Canal Street Mussels, the Cubano sandwich and the dark chocolate brownie. Each course was paired with a 4oz beer. Food: The portion sizes here are pretty large. The Canal Street Mussels were the small order and it was almost more than I could eat. I’m not much of a mussels guy but I wanted to try something different. The sauce these were prepared in was delicious. The Cubano Sandwich was on the smaller size but was very good. The in-house smoked pork had great flavor. This also came with hand-cut fries and house-prepared ketchup which were tasty. Lastly, the brownie, which is made with Listermann’s nutcase peanut butter porter had a nice balance of both chocolate and peanut butter. I was completely stuffed by the end of the meal. I wish I could recall which beers I had but I will say that they have a very nice beer selection. Service: Our server was very attentive. She knew her menu and beers very well and was able to answer any questions we had. The courses were also very well timed, arriving just after we finished the previous. Her beer selections were based on what we told her we liked/disliked at the beginning and I thought she catered to our tastes very well. All in all, this was a good meal with great service.

This place has lots of potential, but we were slightly disappointed with our visit today(4÷23÷2016 @ 2:00pm). We ordered the Crispy Buttermilk Sandwich with fries, which sounded perfect. The fries were excellent, though the homemade ketchup was a bit tomato-y, more of a marinera sauce than Heinz 57. The real disappointment was the undercooked chicken — very pink and wet. The bread and presentation was exceptional, but the chicken was inedible. The staff greeted us warmly and the service was excellent, but our food was disappointing. Will try again and hopefully have a better experience.

For a gastropub the menu is really creative. Great selection of beers on tap, have a nice patio for when the weather is nice. I haven’t had a bad meal here.

After leaving a 3 star I’ve upgraded it to a 5 because everything is made from scratch and they choose to buy local when possible. Whoa! Major bonus points for that. The bacon doughnuts were great and the shrimp and grits we’re off the chain. The wait times were a little long but I was in a big party; plus when everything made from scratch you get what you pay for. I did have a hair in my food but the waiter comped the meal and got my food back fast. There was a vegetarian option too. Also the owner contacted me and helped me understand the effort the restaurant puts into each meal. Real class. If you have ever been to The Knotty Pine I feel this place was cheaper, closer to home, and the quality was still great. You don’t have to go to Kentucky to get a good Louisiana style meal. There is a crawfish thursdays and the back patio looked like a nice place to hangout. I hope this place becomes a mainstay in Cincinnati.

I will start this out by saying: I lived in New Orleans for 5 years, worked in a top 10 restaurant in the nation that was located in NOLA, so I’d say I know a thing or two about the cuisine there. That being said, BrewRiver Gastropub struggles to make a legitimate attempt at New Orleans cuisine. I went 2 weeks ago with friends hoping to show them what NOLA cuisine is like. I ordered the muffuletta which is traditionally a dry sandwich with fresh ingredients such as olive salad, salami, mozzarella ham&provolone on a large bun with a texture somewhat similar to frenchbread. Wow. Was mine nowhere close at all to the MANY muffulettas I have had. It was greasy as all get out. There was cheesy grease dripping off of the sandwich and my fingers were also covered in the grease as well. My stomach was not pleased. My friends who all ordered traditional NOLA dishes I had suggested, had the same complaint. Also, it was horrifically overpriced. The service wasn’t great either, even though we were one of 5 tables in the entire place. NOW to their drinks: the Bloody Mary I had left a lot to be desired, the beer was 6 dollars for an Abita draft. I’ll be skipping this place from here on out. Shame since it has the potential to be far better and way more authentic to the New Orleans cuisine I so dearly miss.

Great location right across from the river. Being February no choice but to eat inside, but the patio situation looks like a perfect warm day place. Wasn’t disappointed with the interior though; cool vintage bar and appropriate décor. Slightly hipster. Note: this place is small. Great beer selection. We enjoyed Sweetwater Hash Brown on tap which can be a tough one to find up in these northern parts. They list beer pairing suggestions on the menu.(Wine too) On to most important: food. In one word, fantastic! Everything but the bread made in house. Burgers were primo! I had the Creole Queen which is a bacon beef blend. Great ratio– the bacon wasn’t overwhelming, just enough to keep the burger super juicy. My husband had The Nachez which is a smoked burger. Great flavor. I mentioned the only thing not made in house was the bakery items. Well let me tell you, not a bad thing because Sixteen Bricks makes one of the best hamburger buns I’ve ever had. The hand cut fries were only slightly above average, but sold on house made ketchup. Highly recommend this place and will come back again.

We ventured down to BrewRiver GastroPub for the first time last night and I have to say the overall experience was pretty good. We arrived about 6:15 and the place was already hoppin’, so we put our names on the wait list and I grabbed the one open seat at the bar. We were greeted right away by one of the bartenders who took our order. I started with the Flirtini and my boyfriend ordered a Bells Winter White draft. After a quick glance of the menu we decided to order Arancini to start — I am glad we did! These little pieces of fried heaven are crisp risotto balls stuffed with beef short rib and fontina cheese served with yummy chunky marinara sauce.(I wish they would have had a little more short rib in them, but overall these are a must try!) As our table became available, a seat opened up at the bar, so we opted to stay at the bar(we usually like to sit at the bar anyway). We decided on our entrees and placed our order. I went with The Creole Burger with Truffle Fries and my boyfriend ordered the Cubano with Fries. While we were waiting we ordered another round of drinks, this time I went with the Caiphirina and he ordered another Winter White. I have to say even though my drink was small, it was really tasty, one of the better ones that I have found out in a pub. This is where the evening went from 5 stars to 4 or about 3.5 really… It took at least an hour to get our food, I was getting ready to ask for it when it showed up. The food was flavorful, but my bun was cold, the burger was warm and not hot as it should have been, which let me to think our food sat there for a while before we received it. My fires were a bit on the soggy/soft side and not crispy, again the flavor was wonderful, just enough of truffle oil on the fries. My boyfriends sandwich was delicious, I think I liked it better than my burger, and it seemed hotter than mine as well. Something else I noticed was that there were only 2 bartenders for the restaurant and they were slammed. They really needed someone else back there helping. They were not only serving patrons seated at the bar, but they were also cleaning, changing the trash and taking it outside, changing out the kegs, completing orders for the service area, etc. This took away from the service that they were providing those of us at the bar(I had to wait to order another drink and get water). I think they did the best job they could have and they were extremely friendly and helpful, however it was a bit chaotic. Overall it took us 3 hours to eat dinner, which was a bit long — if we would have been in a hurry this would not have worked, but since we were having a casual Saturday evening and we were not in any hurry, we just took in the fun spirit of the pub and the fun people around us. We will definitely give this place another try, because there many other options on the menu we want to eat! I am not sure if I would go on a Saturday evening again, unless we were there right about 5.

Just came back from my second trip to this gem. What food! This time around my husband and I got the poutine and the chicken and waffles(brunch) and both were great! Although it wasn’t open today, they also have a fantastic patio which we sat on last time. The chicken and waffles was straightforward and done perfectly. The chicken was super juicy with the perfect crispy outside. The waffles were also amazing– you can taste the vanilla! May be the best he’s ever had according to the husband. WARNING: consuming the poutine here will forever change what you think poutine ought to be. The Thai flavors were exceptional and added a great new dimension to the classic poutine. The fries were the perfect level of crispy to handle the gravy and curds. There was also a great ratio of all the ingredients– every bite was perfect. May be the best in the city — yeah Senate, maybe even better than yours!

I like this place but I am mad! We went on a Friday and had a half price cincy. For $ 40 we received an app, a salad or soup and an entrée, each with a beer pairing. For the price paid we were very happy with what we received and the service. We started with the arancini which was very good. My wife got a salad and she seemed happy. I got the gumbo which was the highlight of the evening. It was by far the best gumbo I have ever had. They definitely smoke the sausage and it works perfect. I want to go back just for this! My wife ordered the shrimp poboy and the shrimp were very large and she liked the breading. I ordered the cubano and I was disappointed. The bread was fresh, which I liked but you have to be used to a fresh bread pressed. My biggest gripe, one that will make me tell you to stay away is the cubano! It should be shredded pork but the sandwich was sliced ham and sliced turkey?! It should be shredded pork and sllced ham! Maybe they ran out? I don’t know, but it was definitely turkey and it definitely wasn’t a cubano! If the gumbo wasn’t so good I would rate this a 2 star but I can’t get over it. Get the gumbo!

This was my first trip to Brew River. I had heard great things and read some good reviews here on Unilocal,so I decided to give it a try. My wife liked her food a lot(turkey«samich»), but I didn’t think mine was very good tonight(fish and chips). Perhaps, I just ordered poorly tonight. The desert was pretty redeeming(blondie) and the server was very friendly:) I liked the décor, like their menu it had a bit of a New Orleans-y feel. The beer menu looked good with several local options. I hope to visit again and upgrade the review.

Sometimes restaurants grow on you as you visit them more often. This one has gone in the opposite direction. It would have been a five star review after my first visit and maybe 4 stars after the next couple visits, but I seem to enjoy it less and less each time I go. For $ 20 per person, breakfast on River road in Cincinnati better be amazing. This has the potential to be but it’s just too inconsistent. From wait times to menu offerings(they’re frequently out of our first and second choices), BrewRiver just finds a way to disappoint. If I want to spend $ 100 for breakfast for 4, I’ll go somewhere nice. Otherwise, there are plenty of quality breakfast options on both sides of the river that deliver consistent quality at reasonable prices.

We’ve been fans of BrewRiver since they opened. Their beer list is forever changing and there is something for every taste. The staff always seems to be very knowledgeable about both the food and drink offerings. We’ve only had one bad server, about a year ago. Most recently we were served by Will, who was outstanding. We loved his recommendations for both beer and food. Get the mussels, there are plenty to share and they are quite tasty. My go-to is the burger and fries, very tasty! The only thing I don’t care for is their homemade ketchup. Great space, with a river view from the upstairs and a lovely patio.

It’s nice to enjoy a local favorite when traveling for business. The restaurant is in a cute area near the river that looks to be revitalized. It has a fun atmosphere and great menu. I had the special of the day which was a Cuban sandwich. Very delicious and you could tell that the pickles weren’t your typical jarred pickle. The homemade ketchup was great. I can’t quite pinpoint the spice in it, maybe thyme? Others in my group had the grilled cheese with pickles which sounds weird but they all loved it. The truffle mac-n-cheese looked amazing!

I’ve had inconsistent experiences at BrewRiver… some good, but one experience so bad that I think I need to lower this rating from 4 to 3 stars. I still like it, but it’s not my first choice anymore. The last time I was here, I had been hyping up the restaurant to my best friend who was visiting from out of town. So when I did take him there, we ordered quite a lot of food. We ordered crawfish hush puppies(a special that night) for an appetizer. They were dry and had barely any crawfish in them… Not a good start, and for the price definitely not a good value. For my entrée, I got the fish and chips, and my two other friends ordered as well. We waited ATLEAST an hour before we finally asked where our food was. Our waiter went back to the kitchen to ask and 10 minutes later came back to our table to apologize profusely and say he must have forgot to put our order in and it would be another 30 minutes before we got our food. Now, I feel you, waiter… People make mistakes. But waiting ANHOUR before even asking where our food is? I think by then you should have realized something was up. And then it’s not like our service was perfect the rest of the night either… We had trouble ordering beers while the tables next to us kept getting served, and my water ran dry. To be honest, I felt like we weren’t treated the same as the other tables, and I have no idea why. By the time we got our food I was starving, but the food just wasn’t as good as I remembered it(maybe the service left a bad taste in my mouth). They comped our appetizer and dessert, but it was still almost $ 80 for 3 people, and we had a terrible time. We spent a total of three hours at the restaurant that night, on a week night when the restaurant wasn’t really that busy. And a manager never came up to us to apologize, FYI. I don’t really know if I will come back, but because I had a good experience the first time I was there, I’m keeping this at 3 stars.

BrewRiver, over the past couple of years, has become one of our favorite go-to restaurants. The food is all made in house(up to the bacon and condiments), and is always fresh and delicious, and everything I’ve gotten since my first visit has been consistently great. In addition to its fantastic stuffed mushrooms, outstanding burgers, really great truffle fries, and everything else that’s good on the menu(BK particularly likes the Cuban and I also love the kimchi tartar sauce that accompanies the Streetcar Burger), the service is always solid, there is rarely a wait, and the beer selection is probably our favorite part — that in itself keeps us coming back. It just so happens we get to also eat some awesome food with great service as a result.

I have been to BrewRiver on 2 separate occasions, once for dinner and recently for brunch. I went for a weekday dinner. The downstairs area/bar is small and there was a live band that night, so my party was seated upstairs. It was pretty quiet in the upstairs dining area, which is nice if you’re on a date. The clientele at night skewed toward the older crowd. We started off with crawfish hushpuppies, and they were okay. It would have been better if served with a dipping sauce. I got the special which featured a mett, which was okay as well, but my boyfriend got the oyster po’boy. The po’boy was great! For our recent brunch, we got there around 10:30AM and were seated in the downstairs area. There was maybe one other table there, so it was really quiet. A little too quiet since the bar staff could hear our conversation and vice versa. Awkward. More people came in after 11 when the cocktails could be finally served. I had no idea that drinks containing hard liquors couldn’t come out until 11AM in Ohio! My boyfriend got an omelette with goetta, which was mediocre. Word to the wise: Do not get biscuits here. I took one bite of the biscuit, and it tasted soapy, like there was too much baking powder/soda. I was really sad that this my last bite before leaving BrewRiver that day. However, my poutine with eggs was phenomenal! This dish is what got BrewRiver a 4-star rating. They do not skimp the sauce/short rib gravy either. If you’re trying to go around town and try the different poutine options, you should definitely stop by BrewRiver because it is up there.

Great food, service, and atmosphere… I def recommend Sunday Brunch… We had the poutine with fries, shrimp & grits, and biscuits and gravy!!! Each dish had its own unique taste and flavor… The portions are big enough to share!!! I am quite impressed with this place !!! Not to mention the live jazz performance to put the icing on the cake! Love the location as well, it’s easy to find and the outdoor patio is quite pretty!

We decided to try the BrewRiver GastroPub when we took advantage of a discount offer we received online for their three course meal and beer pairing. BR is on the east side of Cincinnati along the river in what I would call a transitional neighborhood and is part of that comeback story. The atmosphere is eclectic and offers both indoor and outdoor(patio) seating. Dress is casual, although a coat and tie would fit in just as well. Service was very good, everyone was pleasant and knowledgable about not only the foods but also about the beer pairings. When we told the hostess that we were there for the three course, the manager told her to seat us with a particular server who had more experience with the pairings(as opposed to a «rookie» I’m guessing). We were seated on the second floor with a nice view of the Victorian house and Ohio river across the street. Beers offered on tap are on a rotating basis and included about two dozen local and regional craft brews. The food was excellent, but keep in mind that it is not your standard pub food, they have taken the time to make each homemade offering unique — even the burgers, so expect to pay a little more. Portions were just right, and flavors were«real». All in all I highly recommend BR without hesitation. With the Cincinnati area having so many chain restaurants, it’s wonderful to have unique, local options like BrewRiver available.

What a delicious Cuban sandwich they have. It’s not on the menu so be sure to ask for it. Slightly smaller than I would prefer, but I was full after eating it and a side of fries. But I wanted more. They were plentiful on meat and the bread was toasted perfectly. But as good as the sammich was, the fries were just as good or better. They tasted homemade and have a good crisp to them… Similar to Outback’s French fries, but way better. The catsup served was also homemade and had a sweet salsa flavour to it. Not spicy. We are on the patio and enjoyed the afternoon.

Just tried out BrewRiver this week-end and the three things I liked best were the truffle fries, the truffle fries and the truffle fries! Wow! They arrived hot and fresh with a side of garlic aoili. Talk about yummy! They were so delicious that I ate them first and boxed my BrewRiver salad to go as I wanted to eat them while they were still hot. My salad was none too shabby either with field greens, radish slivers, almonds, blue cheese and shallot confit –both colorful and tasty. My friend ordered the short rib poutine which I enjoyed sampling, too. However, she also ordered their bouquet of fresh vegetables pickled in house. Normally, we are both fans of pickled vegetables, but the ones they served were way too spicy hot! They packed such a big kick that my friend couldn’t eat them and the waiter was nice enough to comp them. Good surprise! Actually, our waiter was top-notch in his attentiveness to our group! He represented them well. As far as décor, there were cute hanging light shades which looked like top hats to go with the film theme upstairs. The downstairs bar area had some beautiful wood features plus a cool copper bar top with sides inlaid with decorative pressed copper. Big plus in the looks department. Although I don’t drink beer, there were plenty to try. Instead I ordered a Bloody Mary which was good, but not great. Unfortunately, the room we were in seemed too warm to all of us. All in all, I might go back for — you guessed it — the truffle fries!

Been here twice and absolutely love sitting on their patio. The first time we were just looking to drink a beer and relax and since it was a beautiful day we sat outside. The stone patio is enclosed on three sides and on the open side faces the sidewalk, road, and river. Their draft beer list has around twenty beers and is filled with local, regional, and national craft beers with possibly an import as well. BrewRiver is a great place to enjoy a good beer in a relaxed environment. The second time we came for food, specifically for a burger. The Natchez is an awesome smoked burger with crispy onions piled on it and. The smoked flavor of the burger is fantastic and helps this burger stand out from the ordinary and combined with crisp onions and a perfectly toasted bun it is definitely going on my list of best burgers. The burger comes with fries but since I didn’t read the menu closely I also ordered the truffle fries to share as an appetizer with our beers. The truffle fries were good and come with aioli to dip in and while I liked it I will note that it seemed much eggier(if that’s a word) than other aiolis I have had before. The fries that come with the burger come with house made ketchup that I really liked but for you highly processed ketchup purists I will admit that it tasted like delicious tomato sauce(way better than highly processed ketchup). Overall, I highly recommend the Natchez burger and definitely recommend coming here and relaxing with a good beer out on the patio. They serve lunch and dinner with a 2 — 3 hour gap in between when they close during the week. On the Saturday and Sunday they stay open during that gap but only serve beer and fries and poutine and maybe a couple other snacks.

Uuuuuugh such good food. Goodbye, healthy eating. Hello cheese dip. I love the location of this little joint — it’s near the river with a great view. After wandering around downtown Cincy looking for dinner and encountering wait times of 1.5 to 2 hours across the board, we called these guys up and were in with no wait whatsoever. First of all, they have a really nice beer selection. Lots of unique stuff that you might not see other places, and plenty of variety. They also have a nice cocktail menu, and if(purely hypothetical) your dining companion drops a shrimp in your Manhattan they will make you a new one. The specials are awesome. I don’t know if they always have such great variety when it comes to specials or if it was better because it was a Saturday, but damn. The smoked Gouda pimento cheese spread was killer. What I’d really come back for, though, were the pickles. They pickle all kinds of vegetables. Green beans, green tomatoes, jicama, carrots, and of course cucumbers — all of them get pickled in this gorgeous, slightly spicy concoction. I could have just eaten that all night. The waiter was super friendly and took really good care of us all evening. Awesome place, would make the trip again.

We stopped in at BrewRiver for a weeknight dinner and the service was fast and our server was very attentive. I started with a Pisco Sour since that is a drink I don’t normally see on a cocktail menu — they make a helluva strong drink, so I’m curious to see how their other unique cocktails taste(my Pisco Sour was definitely too strong for me). We ordered the Truffle Mac N’ Cheese and a Grilled Cheese & Pickle Sammich with a side of Truffle Fries(yes, I love all things truffle, lol). All of the food was really flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. The prices are on the high side; the food was good, but maybe not THAT good(hard to justify $ 13.00 for a pickle and cheese sandwich).

I’m a fan of the whole gastropub concept and was excited to finally get a chance to try Brew River. We’ll start with the drink menu: awesome! There were 23 beers on tap(many of which I had never had and some of which I had never even heard of), plus additional canned and bottled selections. There was also a nice wine and cocktail me u. I hear they have good sangria and was tempted to try the watermelon sangria that was on special, but I stuck with beer. Our server was great. Very knowledgable about the beers and food. He went over the specials and our table selected the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. These were delicious! They were stuffed with a basil cream cheese pesto, then breaded and fried. Even my boyfriend who doesn’t really like mushrooms enjoyed these! Next were the entrees. I got the turkey and goat cheese samich because really any time I see goat cheese on a menu, I have to get it. I really enjoyed it! It came with hand cut fries, but the thing that really made the dish was the house made ketchup — I could have eaten that stuff by the spoonful! My boyfriend got the Amish chicken, which was delicious. Our other table mates got the Cuban(which was a special and deemed very good), as well as the Brew River Burger(also deemed good). The burgers are enormous and could probably be split amongst 2 people. Even though we were all stuffed, the server told us about the dessert special and we had to try it — Home made Apple Brown Betty with hazelnut Gelato. The 4 of us split one, and I still don’t think we finished the whole thing — it was amazing! The last thing I need to mention is the ambiance. We sat outside and had a nice view of the river. I noticed there looked to be an upper tier of the patio and saw employees out there watering plants. I asked our server about it. They have and herb and vegetable garden so they can make foods as fresh as possible. There is also a chef’s table up there which can be reserved for parties of 10 to enjoy a special tasting menu. All in all, I really enjoyed this place, and will definitely be back.

I came here for brunch with my boyfriend and girlfriend on Easter. New Orleans style brunch-so good! I got the New Orleans style BBQ shrimp and grits. Amazing! Not too sweet, and the bbq sauce was light, not to rich. Highly recommended. I also ordered a biscuit, as I am a biscuit lover, and unfortunately, not impressed. It was too salty, or too much baking powder, or something. Couldn’t put my finger on it. Gave sort of a chalky taste/texture in my mouth. But, the butter and house made jelly served with it was so good! I’m sure the biscuit is usually awesome, just off today. Otherwise, a fun place. Great local beer selection on tap and of course live music to accompany the experience.

I’m a huge fan the gastro-pub concept. I’ve dined at a number of them all over the country and Brewriver ranks amongst the top 5. This restaurant would be right at home in OTR or Oakley but it’s rather isolated on River Road. This has both an upside and downside. The isolation keeps the crowds down but it limits your post meal options. Though, I would recommend reservations on the weekends however the wait didn’t appear to be excessive like you find in OTR. They have a fantastic craft brew selection, a creative yet unpretentious menu, and most importantly great service. The specials were so attractive that they swayed half of our party over menu items they already had locked up.
