Great food and friendly service… great for delivery. It’s good if you want standard Americanized Chinese delivery.

Picked up an order of Chicken and Broccoli this evening. The order came out quickly and the portion was plentiful but it was very bland and barely tasted like Chinese food. I’ll be continuing my search for good take-out.

Well I obviously had a better meal than some of the other reviews. I stopped in for lunch. Got bourbon chicken white rice and egg drop soup. My only complaint is the water is Cincinnati city water but it isn’t their fault. Bourbon chicken is very tasty, some of the best I have had. Egg drop soup was good and the white rice was perfectly done. Great meal in my opinion. I don’t normally order fried rice or the typical egg roll as I can get either anywhere. Your meal may very, but what I had was very good and if in the area again I would stop. Heck for $ 6 how could you complain?

Food is bland and I found myself not wanting to eat here again. I was looking for a different Chinese food place to try but this isn’t a winner. I’d try another place if you’re looking for great food

Pathetic attempt at desirable food. Tofu was more of an oily sponge. It’s close to work but I just can’t see this being a regular go to for me. Maybe I will try again and come up with some dish that is worth eating. :(

This was quite possibly the worst Chinese meal I have ever eaten. General Tso chicken was filled with oil and breading. The rice was bland and the egg roll tasted like cinnamon. The service was good. I will not be returning

This is my new local go to for Chinese. The prices are fair and the portions are plentiful. I enjoy chicken fried rice, shrimp spring roll and crab Rangoon. I like that this comes in a bowl versus the typical Chinese carry out carton with the metal handle. The food is good and they even have a dining area if you prefer to dine in. They do not deliver but that could be a good thing because if they did I might start looking like an oversized egg roll!

Got a regular egg roll when I asked for a spring roll. Then they accused me of not ordering the spring roll. What a joke. Just swap it out and move on! Plus, bland as grits. If you think this is good Chinese food, you need to think again.

This is our go to neighborhood Chinese food place. The Combination dinners are quite large and not very expensive. All the food is decent and the service is always good. Its an average Chinese food place with good prices… what else do you want?

Don’t waste your money here! My bf and I got takeout last night about 30 minutes before they were supposed to close. when we called in the order we both wanted white rice and the employee told me they were«sold out». how does a Chinese restaurant sell out of rice. it’s more like they were too lazy & more worried about closing then taking care of their customers. I also wanted sweet & sour shrimp. got the same response that they were sold out of that too. again laziness. So after being disappointed with the selection we decided on general tso & sweet & sour chicken with fried rice. Upon entering the restaurant the employees were letting their kids just run wild and even had one of their daughters ring up on my meal and she couldn’t have been older than 10. umm where is the professionalism? The fried rice def wasn’t what it’s supposed to be. there were no vegetables in the rice and it was more like an Uncle Ben’s microwaved bag of rice. My chicken was very bland & no vegetables came with my meal which I’m used to getting every other time I’ve ordered this same dish at another restaurant. Needless to say they won’t be getting our business anymore.

Bland, poorly cooked and unappetizing. My wife and I have eaten here twice. The first time it was very mediocre but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried again. What a mistake. We ordered very simple things. Beef lo mein, sweet and sour chicken and eggrolls. The beef lo mein was awful. The noodles were overcooked and slimy, the sauce was bland and runny and clearly had been added to the noodles at the end as opposed to being cooked in them. I’m no chinese chef but shouldn’t the sauce be fried with the noodles? The beef was very chewy and tasteless. My wife’s chicken was just as bad. It was clearly frozen chicken that had been thawed and tossed into the fryer. The outside was not crispy and the inside was soggy. The sweet and sour sauce was bland and runny. The eggrolls weren’t actually that bad but I’m pretty confident that they were also frozen and reheated. I don’t expect a chinese restaurant in Ohio to be the pinnacle of chinese cuisine, but I do expect them to at least make an effort in preparing a decent meal. This was horrendous. Never again.

If I could give this place 0⁄5 stars, I would. The only good thing about this place was the customer service. Last night after a long day of working and then running errands, my boyfriend and I decided that we just wanted something quick to eat. We saw China One down the street, and I was wanting Chinese, so we thought lets just go here. Horrible decision. I paid $ 23 for the food. I got chicken Mai fun and an order of crab rangoons, and my boyfriend got jumbo shrimp and mushrooms with fried rice. My meal– the chicken must have been the lowest quality chicken ever. It had the weirdest texture, smell, and taste and not mention it wiggled like it was alive. So since I was extremely disgusted and disappointed at my meal, I tried my boyfriend’s. It was even worse! He gave me a watercress and it had a horrible texture as well and the sauce on it was watery and bland. The only taste it did have was nasty. I also had some of his fried rice and wtf. How do you mess up fried rice? It was also bland, but the taste it did have was weird and it seemed old, and the veggies in it, especially the peas, seemed like they were packaged dried veggies that hadn’t been cooked all the way. I have been trying to find a good fast and cheap Chinese place for a while now, and this one definitely scared me away from going random ever again. I will just stick with Shanghai Mama’s from now on. Seriously, do NOT waste your time and money on this low grade, disgusting restaurant.

I’m pretty new to the East End, so when I realized there was a Chinese restaurant in close proximity I got really excited! Well, I picked up takeout tonight, General Tso’s and subbed noodles for the fried rice. It was VERY mediocre. There just wasn’t very much flavor to either part of the dish(even after I dumped soy sauce and hot mustard on top). I would say the only part that I mostly enjoyed was the eggroll, which I covered in duck sauce. Sadly, I think I’ll have to continue my search for a go to local Chinese restaurant.

My brother and sister-in-law were in town and we were looking for good chinese delivery. This is the only place near the Fairfax/Mariemont are we hadn’t tried yet, so we decided to give it a go. The chinese entrees were good, but I would advise against the pad thai. My boyfriend and I both got an order, both maximum spicy level. What we got was a dish a relatively unflavored rice noodles, bland chicken, and soggy vegetables. My brother and sister-in-law were happy with their meals — moo shu pork and sesame chicken. For chinese carry out, this is your basic food.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick Chinese carryout fix the other night and decided to try China One. While it wasn’t the best Chinese carryout I’ve had, it wasn’t half bad. Pretty average, but satisfied our craving. We enjoyed the General Tso’s chicken and the moo shu chicken; although, the pancakes were stuck together in the package and there was barely any hoisin. Our least favorite dish as the cashew chicken, which is usually one of my favorite dishes. The vegetables and sauce were good, but the chicken pieces weren’t great. Overall, China One is OK for a carryout fix if you’re expectations aren’t too high and you’re looking for something quick.

A little pricy for what you get. Wasn’t busy so service was great. They have a good selection of sushi but I didn’t get get any so I don’t know the quality.
