Love this place! It is definetely my favorite sushi place. I never even liked sushi until I tried fusian and it’s amazing. They have tons of vegan and vegetarian options and it’s pretty reasonably priced! I love their lavender lemonade as well as the seasoned tofu. This location is very clean and pretty and cozier than some of the other locations

This is my favorite sushi in town and this particular location is actually the prettiest. I like the lean furniture, the huge chopsticks in the middle and the convenient parking in front. It might not be the most traditional or proper sushi, as they offer chicken and steak rolls, but I actually really like it and am always up for it! My favorite is chicken + tofu on a soy wrapper. They have a great selection of veggies and a rotating extra ‘ingredient of the month’, so it never gets boring! Keep it up Fusian!

My mom loves this place, so I often find myself running through to either meet her for lunch or pick her up something as a favor(Yes I’m a grown man that still does my laundry at my mom’s house to save $ 5 a week. Say something.). The idea is pretty simplistic — «fast casual» counter order, sushi. You walk up and pick out the items you want, type of wrap, etc. it’s all the subway/chipotle/all that fad new«quick-service» restaraunt. And while the prices are high for some decent sushi, it turns out that it’s really… not bad at all! They surprisingly have high quality ingredients(including great raw sushi), a pretty good variety of vegetable options(including monthly specials), and all sorts of toppings/sauces for your full grocery store sushi experience. But all in all you know what? This place shines hard for one reason — the staff. This staff here is amazing. Like I said, I’ve been here multiple times every month for months on end, and these guys are ALWAYS great. Whether I’m asking for extras of ginger, items on the side(I always get myself some avocado when I come in, because avocado is awesome and I never use a whole before they go bad), or ordering multiple rolls, they’ve never not been exceptional. I even came in 15 minutes before they technically opened the other day(I asked if I could hang out for 15 minutes), and they not only didn’t go straight for the«oh no we’re not open» they actually welcomed me and offered to make me a roll — even stopping their prep to drop me fresh shrimp(their shrimp is tempura battered and fried). I was amazed at the service, could not ever ask for better. All told — the price is a little high, the sushi is decent(made with great ingredients though), and the staff is the best I have ever had. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

I really love the concept of fusian. Such a simple, practical, and delicious idea. The workers were helpful and did not try to rush me being that it was my first time. They were insightful and friendly. The dining room was very clean as was the kitchen. I’m still so full and it’s was two hours ago when I had it. Very reasonably priced!

I consider myself a sushi snob and I loved Fusian! I brought my husband(who hates sushi. he is a meat and potatoes kind of guy) and he even loved it. Can get pricey quickly with add ons but overall worth it and delicious. Great for someone who isn’t sure about sushi and wants to try something they can customize.

I LOVE Fusian SO much. It is always my go to sushi place in Hyde Park. I wish it was an actual restaurant because the sushi is so good, but I actually prefer here over the others. The ingredients are always fresh and the service and quality are consistent. I love building my own sushi roll and all of the different combinations they offer. Each month they feature a seasonal fruit or vegetable to add to a roll and they do a lot with the community including local schools. A roll typically runs $ 7 – 8 which is average for sushi in the area. They also cater! I have yet to try this experience, but I can only assume it’s just as good as the service at their store. It’s so quick and easy, this is the perfect place to come for a meal either alone or with another sushi-loving friend. They offer local canned beer, some soda offerings and a lot of tea options. They also can compost and recycle everything you use during your meal so you are eating a delicious, healthy meal and helping the environment, win win! Can’t wait to go back for my weekly sushi kick! Thanks Fusian!

Fusian is one of my go-to quick dinners. The restaurant itself is clean and has a really sleek modern design. The workers are helpful and friendly. The sushi is pretty good, bearing in mind that it is wrapped right in front of you and of course may fall apart or not taste as great as ordering it at a sushi restaurant. One of the big reasons I’ll pick Fusian over some of its neighbors is because of their tea. They have this citrus mint green iced tea that I am flat out addicted to. 10⁄10 would recommend!

First and foremost up until this summer I was a sushi eater. I went to the Ride Cincinnati for Breast Cancer and FUSIAN was a sponsor of the ride so I tried their«Chicken Roll» and was pleasantly surprised on how good it was/is. So my wife’s employer has them catered in weekly for the staff and she mentioned the one Paxton. So we tried it. I fell in love. It’s delicious. It is fast food, but it’s a clean, fast paced restaurant. I’ve tried a number of options off the menu. Crab Mix, Crab Stick, Chicken, and Steak. And I like everything I’ve had so far. Even tried the Miso Soup and enjoyed it. Yea yea I know this isn’t a proper sushi restaurant. But it’s close enough for me.

Great, build you own Chipotle style sushi place. Staff is super friendly and the product is good. Not the high end quality from a 5 star Japanese restaurant, but it’s good enough to keep me coming. Most rolls are about $ 7.50 and the carrot ginger salads are good. Especially that ginger dressing! They have all the condiments and ingredients you could expect and so many combos of sushi. I really like this place!

This place is awesome and I’m happy I found it! You can make your own sushi rolls for an affordable price and the place is super Eco friendly… huge plus! At first I was skeptical about the flavor of the sushi. I was expecting it to taste like the ones from the supermarket that have been in a fridge all day but boy was I wrong! They make it right in front of you and you can literally customize your sushi any way you want and you don’t have to suffer the consequence of extra toppings charge cuz there is none! I went with the regular seaweed wrap, white rice, salmon, avocado, cucumber, carrots and topped it off with sweet soy sauce and spicy mayo. I’m coming back for the crunches!

Great casual and health-conscious sushi joint. Clean eating, satisfying & affordable. One of my top post-workout go to’s for a quick meal. Staff is friendly and they’re always helpful for flavor combinations. It’s a 5star chain IMO.

I brought a friend, who’d never actually had sushi EVER, to Fusian for her first time. She had been asking for me to try it with her and we agreed being able to customize would be great for a first-timer. She opted for a steak with roll with crab and some other veggies inside. Not feeling up for sushi, I ordered the cucumber salad. My friend seemed to enjoy her enormous and expensive roll. My cucumber salad was incredibly small, especially for the price, but still delish. I absolutely HATE the bar of flavorless, and not very tasty drinks they have. The guy who made our food was kind enough to give us some strawberries(which was their seasonal offering… BTW who gets strawberries in their sushi???) to go in their bland«agave lemonade» but there was just no saving it. I don’t think I ever realized how expensive this place was which is probably why I don’t eat there much.

The ability to make your own roll is pretty fantastic. I really like all the protein and vegetable options. I have gone a few times and while it isn’t the entire sushi experience, it gets the job done. My boyfriend LOVES the tea options they have and always asks to go in and just get a drink when we shop at krogers.

I’ve only been here 3 times(both Hyde Park & Downtown), but it is safe to say that I am in love!!! From the options for sushi to the ever so kind & patient employees, you cannot go wrong! I highly recommend you try the Agave Gingerade & get your sushi topped with a combo of their sweet soy sauce with spicy mayo(or wasabi mayo), with the crab mix & more sauce on top The shrimp wasn’t for me(I don’t like it batter dipped), but my bf seems to love it. And the steak… Omg its seasoned SO well! Totally worth the short wait for them to cook it!

Can’t say I have ever had a bad experience at Fusian. The veggies are always fresh, and the fish is never spoiled. My sushi roll is always rolled to perfection. If the food wasn’t good enough, the vibe the place gives off is awesome. The employees want to talk to you and see what’s up with you. It’s great. Definitely a place to get good sushi and just chill.

Fusian has delicious, fresh, innovative ingredients that will definitely satisfy your sushi cravings. As many have mentioned, they offer a build-your-own sushi concept that features local ingredients. As Fusian has many options, the ultimate roll requires some planning! There is strategy involved when eating at Fusian. Here’s my usual game plan: 1) Load as much of those«crunchies»(a.k.a. tempora flakes) on there as possible! These little crunchy nuggets of deliciousness come with the shrimp tempora(my fav), and at the final«saucing/extras» section. 2) Get your money’s worth! You can basically get unlimited veggies in the roll, so feel free to ask for extra rounds of your favorites. Triple avocado? Yes please! 3) The sauces are so. good. Do not pass these up! I personally love the combo of spicy mayo and sweet soy. You will have a roll that is not only tasty but also economical. Voila!

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Fusian. I had heard of it and while I thought the concept was sure to be successful and popular, the idea of fast food sushi set up like a Chipotle or Subway was not appealing to me. However, the other day my wife and I were looking for a snack to hold us over for a while. She requested sushi and since I was in charge of procuring this item I started trying to think of somewhere I could get it without waiting. Call a restaurant for carry-out so it’s ready when I get there, pick some up at any of the grocery stores in the neighborhood, etc., these were all ideas that I considered. Then I remembered the Fusian concept and we decided it was worth a shot. The restaurant is set up so that you choose you wrap(seaweed or soy), brown or white rice, protein(fish, meat, chicken, tofu, etc.), vegetables(avocado, green onion, carrot, etc.), sauce(spicy mayo, wasabi mayo, yakisoba, sriracha, etc.), and toppings(sesame seeds, sesame chili, crab mix, fish roe). They roll it up in front of you, slice it into ten pieces, and the whole thing only takes a few minutes. Some of the fish choices are raw and other choices are cooked. The choices make it possible for everyone to find something they like. We tried two rolls. One with tuna, avocado, cucumber, jalapeño, yakisoba sauce, and sesame seeds. The other had salmon, asparagus, green onion, carrot, spicy mayo, and sesame chili. We also ordered some masago(fish roe) on the side which we used for both rolls. Each roll cost $ 7.25 plus one order of masago for $ 1.00 extra. The rolls were good and it was actually plenty of food. We should have only ordered one roll since we only wanted a snack to share. One roll for one person would be a good lunch. Overall, I liked Fusian and recommend you try it. It’s not the best sushi out there but for the price it’s good. Everything tasted fresh and this place will be added to our quick food take-out list.

When you have a sushi craving and you need a quick bite, go to Fusian. I was a bit of a skeptic before I tried it, but wow, I am sold. The ingredients are fresh and I like that they have options like brown rice and tofu. If you have never been, this is my advice: only order one roll. The rolls are huge and are VERY filling…(I order at least 2 rolls at other sushi restaurants, so I was tempted to do the same thing here… Just trust me, don’t do it!) I usually get the spicy tuna roll(seaweed wrap, tuna, cucumber, avocado, green onion, spicy mayo, and sesame seed) and customize it by adding asparagus and the tempura crunch. Yum! I am definitely a fan.

My husband had enthused about this new kid in [Hyde Park] town that he and his bud lunched at recently, by his words, a «sushi version of Chipotle! It’s genius!» So I had to check it out. I love sushi. I love Chipotle. This could be genius. Well, I liked Fusian very much. The HP location is the first one I have ever been to(quite new still to those who haven’t eaten at its downtown location), and I will definitely be back again. The concept is great: when that sushi craving hits but Kroger sushi just won’t suffice, but you don’t feel like dropping the coin or time at a sit-down restaurant, then Fusian is a perfect compromise. The interior is modern and so chic without«trying to hard»(ie., pretty enough to meet your girlfriends for a lunch date, or casual enough to go grubbing in your sweats right before weekend grocery shopping — c’est moi). The concept is unavoidably similar to its burrito equivalent, Chipotle: you go down am assembly line, and a friendly staff member will give you the options of seaweed or tofu, brown or white rice. From there you pick your proteins(smoked salmon, tuna, shrimp tempura, crab mixture, cooked chicken if you’re not feeling adventurous, etc.). What’s really cool is you can have half-and-half: I picked half shrimp tempura/half tuna. You then select your choice of fillings(avocado, cream cheese, jalapeños, julienned veggies, yum!), and then toppings(sesame seeds, tempura flakes). I doled out another $ 1.50 for an «additional protein», the crab mixture. The portion is pretty generous — my roll sliced into about 10 pieces, which I devoured, al fresco(yep, some sidewalk seating available!), smothered in soy sauce and spicy mayo. I also like the cool cucumber water they have available — refreshing and different. Like other reviewers have noted, Fusian isn’t necessarily a cheap lunch option — it’s kind of like a Chipotle, every little thing adds up and you could quickly end up in the double digits, scratching your head and wondering if you maybe should have picked a sit-down restaurant. I had the gratis cucumber water + the additional crab, and it came to about $ 9(plus $ 1 to the tip jar, because the people working there were soooooo nice). However, for a healthier/leisurely solo meal or a fun casual lunch date, Fusian would definitely be ideal.
