I am always on a lookout for trying out healthy lunch places around downtown, which aren’t too far away from fountain square. I stumbled upon GTG while I was on my way to pick up a subway. It was their opening week and there were a lot of curious people, including some who were there entirely for the free food samplers! :P The owner explained to me about all that restaurant has to offer, the ordering process, house speciality. I ended up getting a salad with unlimited ingredients that could fit into a box along with three kind of hummus. I am not a fan of pulled chicken so I stayed away from it for my subsequent visits. The ingredients were fresh. I would have liked wider variety of dressings though. Off late I have been visiting GTG for omelette! I can’t find a better place for having omelettes during lunch time. Its once a week routine now. And now I am heading out for the omelette again :)

Great place for fast, good quality carry-out or dine-in. You order via iPad and then walk through the cafeteria-like set up to select what ingredients you want. Good selection for the salad toppings/ingredients. Everything was fresh and there was a large variety but they are split in two sections so it is difficult to choose since you can’t see everything at once. Employees were pleasant. The ambiance is lacking, feels more like a fast food place, also wish there was a smaller salad/soup combo option. Nice, easy place to grab lunch quickly!

After a co-worker mentioned that there was a new place in the 580 Skywalk, I decided to check it out today. It also is their grand opening today, 5÷28÷2015. They will have breakfast and lunch options. The breads, baked goods, sides, and many ingredients are made in house. The concept is similar to that of Chipotle/Piada where everything is customizable. When you enter you go to a table with tablets and select what you want sandwich, salad, pizza, breakfast item etc. and then pay. Once you have paid you go to the counter and specify what protein and ingredients for the item you ordered. They are planning on having breakfast options available even during lunch hours which is nice. I did build your own sandwich and white kaiser roll, pulled chicken, bacon, provolone, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber and olive oil mayo. With the sandwich came with house made chips(potato and sweet potato) with barbeque sauce and pickle spear. I wish I had a pic but in hunger haste busted into eating it once I returned from picking it up. It was delicious. I am glad to have another lunch option.
