IHOP

Considering changing my annual visit to a post-​homecoming meal. Every visit I happen to take at any IHOP is consistently sub-​par. This visit, fit the mold of bad experiences well. We were sat almost immediately, but we proceeded to wait 40 minutes for a server to come by. I asked if she could take our drink orders and she she said sure. As I began to say what I wanted to drink, she casually walked away from me. I waited another 20 minutes and I had to plead another server to finally grant us the simple commodity of having something to drink. I proceeded to tell her my order, and while I was considering my options, she walked away. Mid-​Sentence too! She came back as I said my order, which wasn’t what she recommended to me, and she proceeded to roll her eyes at me, and overall give me a terrible attitude that made me believe she couldn’t care less about me or what I wanted to eat. Food came out reasonably timed after that, although I have some complaints about it my crépes were very bland, and soaked in the syrup put on top. I have had some bad experiences over my lifetime at IHOP, but I believe this has topped it off. Another thing to add was the sheer unprofessionalism of our server. Her hair was very unkept and onto her shoulder also, she had visible tattoos on her arms and chest, which wasn’t covered by her dirty button-​up that was also undone about ¼ of the way. After that she had told us 3 different times that we could pay at the front, as she threw her coat on her shoulder, rushing her customers out so she take our tip and leave. No, we will leave when we are ready or the restaurant closes. Terrible experice

It took over 45 minutes to get food and the place is dead with only a few tables filled. I came in for lunch with an hour to eat and have less than five minutes to eat.
Never come here again!

Staff were so slow, so disappointing and the menu and food quality needs overhaul. I think that using not quality ingredient’s should be enough for the managers to recognize change needs to happen. Coffee was Cold. Not good.

Ive been here twice and i fell in love with the food plus the staff they make you feel welcomed everytime i came and even remembered my name. I came between the hours of 12pm-​6am. Great service!!!

It’s IHOP. Not even close to the one I ate at in NC. Dependable. Same thing every time. No surprises. Just a bit more effort and it’s three stars.

Horrible. Late for work because we had breakfast. we had to split my food and get his in a box to go when it finally came. Management apparently is a foreign concept. I felt horrible for our sweet waitress Heather.

Well above average for an IHOP. (That said I’ve been a regular here for over five years, I’ve learned how to optimize my experience.)
Ask for Tristin in the AM, an excellent waitress with extraordinary attention to detail. (I could go on and on about the little things that the others of the staff will shortcut). If you’re lucky Rob1 will be cooking. All the cooks are adequate, Rob’s craft stands out.
Manage your expectations midnight to 6 AM, graveyard shift is not the same as the others. Much more like the standard IHOP experience ;)
They suffer from location, even though they’re only 1000 feet from the interstate interchange at Montgomery Road, you have to access their parking via a roundabout way through the Sycamore Plaza shopping parking lot. As a result, rarely busy in the early mornings.
I have to laugh when I see the comment about free pancake day. That day is chaos, it attracts all the people looking for a ‘free lunch’. The waitresses warn me when it’s coming, and I steer clear. Day after, the waitresses tales of customer crassness are a sad commentary.

I’m so happy that I chose to come here this morning; breakfast was delicious! I had the American Scrambler with added avocado. The taste was wonderful and the service was great. The price was less than 8.00 even with tax included. This was a great choice today!

I’m in this IHOP every week. It’s pretty much become a tradition now. Today I actually had a problem using a gift card and the staff was nice about it and corrected the mistake without any hassle.
All of the staff are friendly and willing to go that extra mile to make sure you have a good experience.

Was there several weeks ago. I love IHop. This location has a management problem hostess was rude to all other employees. This took everyone down. Not one server waited after dropping off food to see if you needed anything else in our area. 2stars are because food is always good at IHop even when it’s only warm like this visit. If you want the best services with the friendliest staff go to mason IHop.

service is hit or miss, this is one of the slowest (business wise) IHOPs I have ever been to, not sure of the reason, could be the location, sort of difficult to find if you not familiar with the area. I have been here and had excellent service and then the next visit, so so service. You can could on the food being the same as the other IHOPs around

Went there at like 2am, and the good was great, it came out quickly, and the service was great. Skylar is a great server.

It’s an Ihop soooo yeah not too much past that…
P. S. anyplace that automatically servers you a side of pancakes with your burger is A-​ok in my book. lol

I’ve been to some pretty shady IHOPs in my life. I’ve been to one where half the staff plus ten customers were out in the parking lot having a full-​blown fist-​flying mêlée Super Smash Bros style at 3 in the morning (Welcome to the Marburg Avenue IHOP). I’ve been to one where I waited 45 minutes for a grilled cheese and it came out cold (How is it possible to serve a cold grilled cheese?). I’ve even been to one where the manager waited on us because she said our server had fallen asleep in the break room (I couldn’t make this stuff up).
However, every time I go to the Montgomery Road IHOP it’s always money. I usually go after midnight (they are 24 hours every day now) and even in the early morning hours it’s always spot on. The servers are always friendly and attentive (shout out to Princess) and the food is always prepared hot and correctly.
It’s worth mentioning that if you’ve never had the Cinna-​Stax french toast you are doing yourself a great disservice. If you’re wondering what this is, imagine if Gordon Ramsay worked at Cinnabon and created the most amazing stunning cinnamon french toast (SHUT IT DOWN!).
Frankly, there isn’t anything negative to say about this location. I really wanted to give it five stars but I’m not sure if even the best IHOP in the world is worthy of five stars… so four stars it is!

Once again, reminded to write a review after reading a more recent one. The last time I visited this IHOP (several months ago) it was in a party of four, and two of the orders came out wrong. The wait for food was extraordinarily long, and then the server dropped the food and disappeared, meaning two people sat there a while longer with messed up orders in front of them. Bad experience, I won’t be back.

Horrible service and overpriced. I ordered a cheeseburger with ketchup and mustard, no mayonnaise or lettuce. After waiting 20 minutes my burger finally comes out, and has mayonnaise and lettuce on it. I can deal with the lettuce because I can just remove that, but the mayo is a different story. The burger itself was dry and overcooked with an overpowering bun. Not worth the $ 8 spent on it.
