This Lowe’s is ok. It’s not as clean as other Lowe’s locations around town, but it’s the closest to home, so when I need an alternative to The Home Depot, this is where I go. The layout is pretty much the same as any other Lowe’s, but not quite the «department store» feel that the others have. This one is more like any other big box home improvement place – high shelves of medium grade building materials/​supplies full of dust and sometimes grease. I guess all would be expected of such a place, but the other locations aren’t nearly in this condition.
Also, the prices aren’t quite as good as other hardware stores, so, more and more Lowe’s is becoming that «other place» I’ll shop if I really have to. Most of the merchandise is good quality and the staff is often more helpful than Home Depot. So, for that, they get three stars instead of two.

This Lowe’s store and I have had a long history. It is one of my least favorite stores that I have visited, however the new staff appears to have got their act together. The wide aisles and open lighting make walking through a breeze. Still have trouble finding floor associates, though when you find one — there are usually 3 others close by (chatting). If you have an issue with the store, I highly suggest calling the customer service number — skipping asking for the region manager and ask for the Area VP — that has always seemed to get this store back on their game and doing what they’ve been paid to do. While most horrid encounters at this store, it is still a world above the local Home Depot.

If you go here first, whatever you need is going to be at Home Depot.
The landscaping materials seem to be of a lower quality than Home Depot.

I like Lowe’s, I pop’d in looking for a small project to put a network jack in the wall. With some help from a friendly employee I was in and out with the right stuff in like 15minutes.
There seemed to be good service and and they almost always have what I am looking for. That being said… sometimes they are just too big and there are too many choices.
