Ventured in while browsing Findlay Market. Picked up some turkish delight to try and, while it was a nice soft texture, it had a very chemical taste to it I have not found in any other turkish delight I’ve tried. Also — steer clear of the french macaron’s at the counter. It was apparent that they had bought the boxed package of mini frozen macaron’s from Trader Joes(looked the same, tasted the same and had exact same flavors), priced them at $ 1 each and then they went incredibly stale in the counter case. Yuck.

Really love this shop. A great variety of products — many of which you can’t find elsewhere. Friendly, helpful staff. GREAT prices — especially on the spices and nuts.

This is an adorable little shop outside of Findlay Market in a cute little storefront. The store has a plethora of imported items from various ethnicities. They have spices in the front of the store. The shelves contain jars of sauces, olives, capers, oils, and more specialty items. They have a nice selection of belgian chocolates too. I really like their bulk foods section. It’s a great place to buy lentils, beans, nuts, quinoa, and different kinds of couscous. They are all good to decent prices. They also have a nice selection of fresh baked baklava and other goodies. In the back there is a frozen food section with different frozen specialties and vegetables. I’ll be coming back here for sure!

Second only to Saigon Market in exotic flavor among Findlay market vendors, the Mediterranean Imported Foods regales you with all manner of items you probably won’t ever see growing in Ohio. Dried fruit galore, Indian spice blends, ingredients for falafel, myriad forms of rice and couscous(and other grains), dozens of olive oils and vinegars, spices by the ounce, and home-roasted nuts. I’d love to give an encyclopedic list, but that would waste both of our time. Besides, I find something new every time I go(partly because this array is stuffed into a tiny store). Amazingly, a lot of this stuff is pretty cheap, especially the bulk grains. But plenty of items are pricey, so be sure to check the labels before assuming that package of pasta is the same as the one next to it. If you’re hungry immediately, they sell various prepared Mediterranean specialties(stuffed pitas, empanadas, topped flatbreads), though not hot out of the oven.
