Christina is the best. She has been doing my hair since I was 18 and am now 38. Make an apt with Christina. She does excellent color and cuts. She is great at waxing too.

New to the area I decided to come here because I wanted a step up from the walmart hair places. And this place was no different. It was like an overpriced smart styles/hair cuttery/etc. Way too many assumptions were made and it was unclear what was being done to my hair. My cut was supposed to be simple layers, yet it turned out uneven and several hairs were completely missed. My stylist was so proud of what she did. Could she not tell that it looked awful? She also has no idea how to straighten hair. Now that I think about it, I think my stylist was incredibly LAZY! She didn’t take the time to evenly cut my hair. With every other place I’ve been to, they cut the hair in sections. she couldn’t even clip my hair up and straighten it in sections. Also.as I was paying, the three women working there were just socializing with each other. They were joking about putting people on hold(on the phone) and forgetting about them. Very unprofessional.

Initially I decided that I wasn’t going to bother writing a review of this place, since I never actually got to utilize their services, but then the more I thought about it, the more I felt like it was only fair for me to share my experience. We moved to the Eastgate area fairly recently, so I was still shopping around for a place to get my hair done. We live very close to the mall and I recognized the brand, so I thought I would try Regis out. I know they run a bit more expensive than other places I’ve been to, but I was overdue for a haircut and wanted to get partial highlights for the spring, so I figured, why not. I made an appointment for 11:00 on a Saturday morning. I showed up five minutes early, and the stylist told me she was running late, so I should«walk around the mall a bit» and come back in 20 minutes. Not a huge deal, so I was perfectly polite as I agreed to return later. It didn’t really register in my mind at this point, but she didn’t exactly apologize or acknowledge the inconvenience– just a chipper suggestion to come back in a bit. So I shopped around, came back 20 minutes later, and sat back down in the waiting area. She definitely saw me, but didn’t acknowledge my presence– just kept snipping away at the hair of the person seated in her chair. The person’s hair was wet, and she was still obviously right in the middle of the haircut. I waited for about 15 more minutes, during which time she took a personal phone call(albeit a fairly brief one), and never acknowledged me to apologize for the delay or even just to tell me how much longer it would be. Finally, about 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I walked out. In spite of the fact that they took my phone number when I made the appointment, it apparently never occurred to anybody to call me and tell me they were running late so that I could have altered my plans. It likewise never occurred to anybody to call after the fact and apologize for wasting my time. Nobody in that salon seemed even remotely interested in cutting my hair. Maybe they’re doing so well that they don’t need any new customers– who knows. I won’t be coming back.

I’ve been going to Angie Lauders at Regis Salon in Eastgate Mall for at least eight years now. Before that, I went to another stylist at the same salon for several years. I have short hair and it’s difficult to find a stylist who can cut/style short hair well. Angie is fabulous at doing short hair and is also a good colorist. I think the prices are very reasonable for the services provided and I’m always able to get an appointment quickly.
