Salon Bastille

I called today and was so thrilled to get a last minute appointment. Sad to say I will not be returning to this salon. It is unfortunate because the salon is so close to my home. My cut was horrible, my hair felt like straw when I left and I had to request to use the stylists flat iron to fix my roots because they were not straight. I went right home and rewashed my hair and now I need to find another salon to fix the mess. I would not recommend this salon.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this salon! I’ve been seeing Tiffany for several years and even after we moved states! We’ve since moved back but I scheduled my hair appointments when we visited back home. She’s super talented and is especially amazing at short hair. She listens to your needs and provides needed feedback to create a really great experience. The salon itself and all of it’s employees are so friendly, on top of the trends, the building is really nice and modern, and they make sure to keep their clients properly hydrated :)

I got a haircut from Maddy and she did an amazing job. I will definitely come back for getting my hair done. :)

They were able to get me in that afternoon which was awesome. I had Jessica as my Hair Dresser. She did a great job! I have long hair but need to clean the ends by a few inches. She was able to get my hair back in shape and look fabulous! I love her! Thank you!

I’ve been going to this salon to see Tiffany for about 8 years. The salon is lovely but what I love most is that it’s easy to get in and out. Parking in the back, small enough that you won’t get lost. I’ve been to all the big salons in town and I’d recommend this place to anyone. Tiffany is AMAZING. Since she’s been doing my hair, random strangers on the street compliment me. She is fun, she is sweet and she is an amazing stylist.

Customer service is great here. Michael cuts and colors my hair and does a great job. I have been to many hairdressers in the Cincinnati area and I feel he is the best.
The Salon has a great atmosphere and you do not feel rushed at all. He listens to what I, want and advises me what would be best for my hair. Ashley cuts my son’s hair and seems to but up on all the trends. i would highly recommend!

I came here on my wedding day this past Saturday with the intention of getting a conditioning treatment and a blowout. What a joke. Never again! I found Salon Bastille in Elle magazine, listed as the best salon in Ohio and was shocked to discover how sad my experience was. Tiffany was super sweet but all she did was layer my hair in product and ran a dryer over it, barely even taking a brush to it. $ 47 later my hair was still wet and my bangs were sticking straight up. I complained to her and she just kept saying that the woman doing my updo later at home could fix it. Sigh. It was so bad my mom was supposed to come after my appointment to get a blow out and I cancelled it for her. When I got home she as my stylist were horrified, my hair was flat and oily. Perhaps their other services and stylists fair better but my opinion is unless you want to look like a sea pup after an oil spill, avoid this place. And unlike after an oil spill, nobody tried to make this right for me, not even on my wedding day. Gross!!!

I made an appointment for a haircut at Salon Bastille and was able to get in later that day. I was considering a drastic change in length and indicated to the receptionist my concerns. She put me on hold for a minute so I could speak personally with the owner. He patiently listened to my hair catastrophe and recommended a stylist who had short hair and could help me with my move from long to short. The salon has a relaxing atmosphere and my stylist, Lydia, took great care to listen to all my hair concerns and together we worked out a style and cut that I was most comfortable with. Lydia was comforting and attentive, and took care to explain to me the best way to style my hair and explain her reasons for cutting my hair the way she chose. She asked for confirmation that I was ok with the cutting technique she was using, which made me so comfortable with my choice to take off a considerable amount of length. After the cut, she gave he her card and told me to call if I found any part of my cut and style that didn’t work for me, and assured me she would fix it. Not that I needed it! My hair has garnered so many compliments from friends and even strangers! I loved the final look, and was utterly content with the service within the salon as well. I was personally consulted by the owner after my cut, and felt that the people working at the salon were genuinely concerned with the quality of the work and service within the salon. I will wholeheartedly recommend this salon to anyone!
Because I came in during a slow evening, I didn’t find parking to be an issue.
Also, I noticed a plethora of hair products and brands that feature more organic and quality ingredients.

My fiancé went here based on Unilocal reviews. Ava is great! The next time she went Ava also cut my hair and I agree that the rating is deserved!

I absolutely love Salon Bastille. It makes it even better that it is nestled in Olde Montegomery. Even more bonus points for being located across the street from Starbucks!
Sarah Siemering is my girl! She is a great stylist and a great person. You really can’t go wrong with any of the stylist there at Salon Bastille, the only hard part is trying to choose a person that best suites your personality. Everybody is super friendly and the owner, Michael, remembers every single client, even if they aren’t his own.

Salon Bastille is a trendy boutique-​styled salon, located in Old Montgomery, BBQ-​sense tinglingly close to the original Montgomery Inn. The place is very clean and sheek. The owner prides himself on having a staff that is passionate about never feeling completed in his or her craft. All staff members constantly take new classes and attend conferences to keep fresh.
I had wobbled in and out of several salons in various places in Cincinnati. I was always left with a mellow feeling. My experience was fine, but not great. My hair was OK, but it wasn’t really what I wanted.

I’d recommend Lydia any day. She’s kind, patient and super talented. She cuts hair dry, which is unique. When your hair is cut wet, sometimes you can be surprised by what is unveiled after the blow dry, but this method shows it all. She has great attention to detail, and will not stop until you are satisfied. Her gentle demeanor is endearing.
Great staff, amazing amount of knowledge in one building. Keep up with them on Twitter for random discounts and specials. Sometimes when it rains they’ll have discounts on manis and pedis.
It’s old Montgomery, so parking is a premium at all hours. But be brave and try out this salon. I am sure it will not disappoint.
