Wanted to give this place a try, plus I was craving a gyro, and I’m glad I did. The portion of the gyro combo for the price was perfect. I will definitely be going back to try more menu items. Side note — the seasoning on the fries was addicting!

I love this place! My go to lunch spot. Hands down the best falafel I’ve had! And forget the fancy french fry restaurants cuz Taza has them beat! These are the best fries in the city! If you haven’t tried Taza grill you are truly missing out!

Always looking for a good chicken shwarma around town. Me and a couple of co-workers decided to check out this quaint little spot after noticing it the last time I was in Clifton. We were truly impressed with taste of the food relative to the price. All 3 of us ordered the Montana chicken shwarma. It was tremendous flavor. I have been back another time, and it was truly tasty again. It came with fries, so I could dine for under $ 10 and feel more than full. It’s even better when since I end up with leftovers for an afternoon snack. I’m sure if this was located in a place with more accessible parking, they would have lines out the door. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

Don’t be deterred by the decrepit sign outside. For the price this place has delicious quality food and a great selection.(Love the homemade bread) Awesome customer service and efficient. I always get the shawarma or kebab. Wished they stuck with traditional Mediterranean/Middle East dishes not the upcoming nachos and pizza stuff that’s supposed to cater to the college gen nearby. I miss the baba ganoush! Will definitely come again and recommend!

It was honestly terrible! I got parsley party beef shawarma and it was uncooked, and had not even a leaf of parsley in it! I couldn’t even eat it so i ended up having the fries with ketchup! Won’t go there again

Its a cute little eatery close to UC serving Mediterranean cuisine with a crisp menu. We ordered their Gyro, Lamb/beef kebob and Falafel sandwich and all three were huge in size plus delicious. They have around 12 items to choose from which consist of sandwiches & salads. When we went, there were two people working at the eatery who welcomed us with a big smile. On asking about a particular sauce, the guy immediately gave us a sample to taste. He also knew about the filling inside each sandwich so that was quite helpful in case you aren’t familiar with the ingredients. I would definitely be back soon. Seemed like a healthy choice with no hint of dripping oil or fried items, and their sauce added so much flavor to the sandwich.

This is a great addition for this location(the old Cilantro before it moved across the street). Also, a bit brave with Chicago Gyro a stone’s throw away; but Taza Grill offers a full array of shawmas, gyros, and other pita-based options with sides of fries. During my recent visit, there was one person working the whole place-register, orders, and kitchen, and service was still surprisingly quick. My gyro was hearty with good flavor. We were given extra fries while we sat because she was at the end of the basket when our sandwiches came out. In a land of sandwiches and burritos in this neck of the woods, Taza Grill offers another option that(without the fries) isn’t heavy or greasy, and is affordable($ 6-$ 7 will get you lunch). Service was friendly, the food was good. Another place added to my Clifton Heights lunch list!

Stopped in recently for a classic gyro(added a photo above) and it was just as delicious as all the chicken I’ve had here. I asked them to load me up with extra veggies and they were happy to oblige, and the extra falafels at $.75 is a great price(literally half the cost of Chicago Gyro’s falafel pieces), though they were a little too oily for my «ideal» falafel bites. Regardless, the tzitki sauce is rich, garlicky, delicious, the meat is juicy and you get a great portion for the price. Still loving the Taza Grill, fvisited multiple times now that I live down the street, but I thought to take a picture this time!

Probably more towards 3.5 stars. For being a small, seemingly under appreciated Clifton restaurant, I enjoyed it. Fries are pretty basic, but had a good seasoning on them. Had the gyro and it was good. Would definitely recommend getting one of their chicken wraps, the sauce on it was delicious.

Definitely worth a shot. Seems like they don’t get nearly enough business for how amazing their food is. The combo is definitely worth it!

This place is a hidden gem. I was so pleasantly surprised ! I went with the Montana chicken shawerma and it was delicious. It also came with a side of fries that were seasoned perfectly. My husband went with the taza lamb/beer kebab sandwich. He said it was really good ! The sandwich also came with a side of fries. With each meal you can make a combo for an extra 2.25. We choose not to make it a combo and it was more then enough food for such a great price. To top off this this great meal we split a baklava. It was amazing ! My only regret was splitting it with my husband. This place must be every college kids dream, delicious food at a great price. You can’t go wrong with giving this place a try ! I can’t want to back and try the gyro.

This is a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant just off of the University of Cincinnati campus. It has a few tables, but is mostly a takeout place. A good menu, and the gyro I had was very good. The people are very friendly, and when my wife had a question about a sauce, they gave her a small sample before ordering. Good value and good food, was glad that we stumbled upon it!

I got a Taza lamb and beef. It’s to the left of the gyro on the menu. The meat was well cooked and fresh tasting. It comes with some fries. The fries have a delicious seasoning on them. The ketchup packets weren’t needed since the trade of he seasoning on the fries made it great that way. I wish I had gotten the combo meal that comes with a drink but that would have made the cost go from $ 5 to $ 7. I noticed some cookies covered in Saran Wrap in the counter. I didn’t see any dessert on the menu.

When you see tons of Mexican in a Mexican restaurant, you will probably assume that the food is somewhat authentic. Didn’t mean this in any other way, it’s the truth! Every time I go to Taza, I always see middle eastern friends getting their lunch there. And I am really happy to see them cuz it probably means that what I am getting is somewhat good mediterranean food! And personally, I agree, everything is so delicious. 5 dollars for a big gyro that’s juicy and flavorful. A bit extra for fries. My bf and I got one combo so we can share the fries and they put extra fries on the other basket as well! How sweet! Nothing fancy, looks clean, you can sit right next to the window people watching while enjoying your lunch, just a very sweet spot.

Love this place! Super-fast, super-cheap, and super-yummy! Everything is under $ 6, and even when they’re busy, it takes no time to get your food. Their kebabs are wrapped in the tortilla-like bread, which is more traditional(I’m told). Whatever it is, it’s delicious! If you are a poor, starving college student, this place should become a regular visit for you. :)

Fast, cheap, and good. Go for the Montana, it’s good stuff. Mostly a order and take-away, but the food is really good.

Taza Grill has only been open for 8 weeks now, but simply put, the food is delicious! The best part is that it’s how kebabs/gyros should be: affordable and quick. Surprisingly, the kebob meat and gyro meat wasn’t very greasy. The wrap is closer to a tortilla thickness rather than pita, and it was overall a light meal but still filling. My only complaint is that they don’t give enough fries. The staff were helpful in explaining the menu items because I thought the terms were kind of confusing: Döner kebab = «gyro» and are the lamb shavings from the spinning vertical rotisserie. The meat is added with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and your choice of 2 sauces: yogurt or tahini. I had a taste of this too, and it’s great! Kebob = ground beef in cylindrical pieces, also grilled. The wrap also features lettuce, tomato, onion, and sauce choice. This is what I ordered, and it was good, but I preferred the gyro. And there are 3 different types of chicken shawarma, also from the spinning rotisserie. I don’t usually order this, so I didn’t ask about them. Another one of my friends ordered the falafel and said it was incredible. I will be back soon to update on it :) Anyway, it’s a short walk from UC campus and right around the corner from bars like Woody’s and Mac’s. There is only enough seating for about 10 – 15 people, so take out is recommended(and fast!). And of course, most things on the menu will be less than $ 5!

Everything is under $ 6 and very tasty! I wasn’t sure what I wanted so they let me sample a few different meats. They were all very good and the OG-Chicken Shawerma that I ended up ordering did not disappoint. The special spice on the fries was also very tasty. Overall, the staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic. I really hope this place stays around.

I give them a 5 because this is one of the rare times I can give a 5. I’ve had literally everything on the menu and it is beyond delicious. If you are looking for a cheap eat with flavor this is the place. From gyros to wings to chicken shawarma you cannot go wrong. Hats off for bringing something different to Clifton and that is affordable.
