I was excited to finally get to check out this place. I ordered a skim milk latte, and was surprised at the quality of the drink for the great price! Definitely cheaper than a few spots I frequent in Hyde Park. The service was very quick with my drink, which is always good. I’ll have to come back again soon and try a few other options, since my visit was a quick one.

I keep wanting to like this coffee shop, and keep trying… but there are too many things that just don’t work. The owner and staff are indeed very nice and welcoming, and it does have that worn-in, rough around the edges neighborhood feel(Pleasant Ridge does seem to love the place), as other reviewers note. For me, though, it’s not anywhere near the city’s better coffee shops(e.g., Deeper Roots, Coffee Emporium, Collective Espresso) in terms of ambience or quality of product. The music is, without fail, terrible(think Oasis, or the Dave Matthews Band). The coffee itself is fine, but not particularly good. And the space itself is very small, which is compounded by the groups of teenage kids that takeover the place every afternoon(including the children of the owner and employees). If you’re friends with the folks who work here, or need to kill time and get a drink without leaving Pleasant Ridge, Coffee Exchange is an OK option. If you have kids, though, you’ll probably prefer Red Balloon across the street.

Pleasant Ridge is one of the greatest up and coming areas in all of Cincinnati. The Coffee Exchange is a fantastic place to hang out and enjoy PR. Only being a short 2 minute drive to Oakley Station, Pleasant Ridge is a prime spot to be!

Great little coffee place. Definitely a diamond in the rough. Nice and quiet place to do homework if your a college student or a business man/women needing to make a few phone calls or do work. Great coffee! Try the Chai Latte! Great Service!

This is my favorite local coffee shop. It’s an awesome please to meet up with someone, or just hang out. The atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable. When you walk in, you are smacked in the face with the smell of baked goods like Cinamon coffee cake or brownies; which I’m not complaining about! The prices are super reasonable and the selection is awesome. My personal favorite is the iced Chai, or just the house coffee. They have everything from tea, to lemonade, to iced and blended coffee. Oh and how could I forget, craft beer!

This is a nice little shop on my way to work. Stopped in for a mocha. The staff are friendly and the space would be good to hang out, read, or make use of the free wifi. And, bonus, they serve beer(though I didn’t get to take advantage of that). Give them a try.

Experienced barista here! This place has such a great vibe. Wonderful friendly service and the coffee is superb! Plus it’s the best priced in the area! I watched her make my coffee, I’m super picky about how it’s prepared and I approve! Very impressed!

yes I work here but I wouldn’t also get coffee here the other four days a week if I didn’t love it for the really good coffee at great prices). unique, rotating beer selection, and a good solid wine selection with something to please everyone.

Everything in the shop seems quaint. I always see them making their own bakery items fresh and homemade. The coffee is good and always on point. It’s just one of those good, quaint and quality coffee shops. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely keep visiting here.

I fell in love with this cute little coffee shop! Located in Pleasant Ridge, just near the intersection of Montgomery Rd and Ridge Rd. Street parking. I checked this place out one weekday afternoon so the atmosphere was chill and a bit laid back. I’m told during the morning rush it can get pretty busy. The owner was pleasant and made us feel welcomed. The coffee was great with different milk options available. The space was small yet very inviting. I will be back to check out the wine!

I gave them a 4 because so far everything has been pleasing. I’m very happy with my cup of pumpkin spice chai latte($ 3.50 for a 12 oz). It’s sweet, warm, deliciousness with a touch of spice; better than Starbucks. It’s a cute coffee shop in the Pleasant Ridge area. Things got a little more bustling as a few pairs of mommies/grandmommies and kiddos showed up for some kind of meet and greet thing. There’s one big table for that(sits about 6), three tables that each sits 3 and 2 sets of comfy chair coffee tables for solitary souls or couples I guess. There is free WiFi for those wanting to work and study. The décor is welcoming and unique. As an added bonus, they also serve beer and wine. The place stays open until 11p thurs, Fri and Saturday night and until 4p mon-wed. There are also baked goods. I definitely would be a regular if I live in this neighborhood.

I am not a gourmet coffee drinker but I do like a cup of good coffee in the morning. More importantly, I like good company and my community and both are well represented on most morning trips to the Coffee Exchange. The owner is friendly and interested in her customers. Their baked goods and salad dishes are good for a quick snack. The Exchange, Gaslight Café and Tacos Locos are my Pleasant Ridge essentials.

I love walking here to buy a cup of coffee. Their house coffee is really good and they offer alternatives to normal creamer, like almond milk and soy milk. They also have free dog treats by the door for my dogs. In the fall time, their apple cider frozen drink is really good. Prices are great. People are friendly. Great local neighborhood coffee shop!

Been here a few times and the coffee has seemed a bit watery. Also seems overpriced compared to most other coffee shops and I miss the homemade muffins the former shop sold.

Love walking up here on the weekends and the dog bowl they keep out front for my pooch. My favorite part, as silly as this sounds, is that they keep their customer loyalty cards there. So nice to not have to remember to bring it with me!

Places like this shop are why I love living in Pleasant Ridge. I came into the Coffee Exchange yesterday as a refugee from the damage done on my street by the derecho. The ladies working(owners?) were extremely friendly and we spent a good bit of my time here chatting about neighborhood stuff, etc. Prices are reasonable. The décor is pretty neat and cozy. There are several tables and arm chairs to relax in. There is also free WI-FI. I would definitely encourage everyone to stop in and visit this local business… it is definitely a lot cozier than a Starbucks.

Stopped in to check out the newly opened coffee shop in Pleasant Ridge. Although they just opened, they have a great selection of coffee, teas, blended drinks and specialty drinks, a few snacks and sweets. Great table and chair space and a warm interior. Nice place to stop in for a coffee and do some work or chat with a friend! Im excited to see the space open again and for their growth! Definitely a great place to stop in.
