This is my favorite bar in Clifton by far. It’s relatively new so it has a clean inviting atmosphere. The bartenders are super friendly and ready to make you whatever drink you want. I come here for the specials also: *happy hour is Monday — Saturday 4 – 8 and includes half off wells, discounted drafts, $ 2 domestic bottles Sunday: $ 3 drafts and $ 3 bombs all day Monday: $ 3 vodka after 9(last week it was three olives vodka, it used to be effen) Tuesday: $ 2 long islands Wednesday: Discounted drafts(I think it’s $ 2 off) Thursday: a huge half off menu after 9pm that has tons of beer/shots. Such a great deal. It gets very busy on this night so go early! Friday: unfortunately no specials but they usually have beer of the month for $ 3 Saturday: $ 1.50 coors light can You can’t go wrong with these specials. I did those off the top of my head so that should tell you how much I’m there …

The St. Clair is slightly more cool and trendy than you’d expect to find in a college student dense area but I like it. It’s small and has a cozy feel. It’s connected to Keystone next door so if you find yourself waiting for a table — hop over next door and grab a brew while you wait! Or if you’re too hungry to wait, The St. Clair offers a limited menu selection from Keystone!(Bonus!)

It was a Dark and Stormy night, But only a single Dark and Stormy night as they ran out of Ginger Beer. A nice small bar atmosphere, there’s not a lot of room for the bartender to wander off and leave you behind. Good venue for watching sports; we caught most of the All-Star game here. Also, I like the name because it’s the same as my church and if anybody asks, I could just say I’m at St. Clair and they wouldn’t know if I meant the church or the bar. Beer selection didn’t really grab my interest, but they had some local and craft beers on draught.

After 12 it absolutely comes alive. Great DJing, ok prices, and friendly staff. very tight space though, but it helps to create an exciting vibe !

Connected to Keystone Bar & Grill, the St. Clair is a great place to get drinks with friends, family, and even business partners. You can order from Keystone’s menu, and they will bring it right on over to you at the bar. Also, their happy hour prices are really competitive for Clifton.

I am a sucker for a good happy hour. The prices are just low enough to warrant a trip to snag some great deals on some awesome beer, but high enough to keep the unruly undergrads at bay. I cannot echo the sentiments of the other Unilocalers enough: It is a reflection of the Lackman, only a bit more peaceful. This is a fantastic place to grab a beer and have a relaxing evening, or a great place to start(or end) a long eventful night. Put aside your prejudices of the typical Clifton bars and give this happy hour a chance.

As many other reviewers have already said, this bar is great! It is just like the Lackman but in Clifton. There is always great beer on tap including local Rheingeist selections. In addition, this bar shares a bathroom and is connected to Keystone Bar and Grill, so you can bring over your Mac & Cheese if you want to watch a game. Hopefully business here will pick up once it is warm out and you can sit outside on the square.

Well, I love The Lackman and go there for drinks while I wait for two hours for Bakersfield. I went here a few months ago, but don’t really remember since I was pretty toasted. It’s a shame because I’m pretty sure I had a blast. I’ll have to venture again. 5 stars for now.

As other reviewers have said, this is Lackman transplanted to Clifton. The décor, big stools, booth type tables, etc. are all Lackmanesque. They do have what look like converted pews as their«booth» seats, which was cool, if uncomfortable. I was there early on a Saturday night(8:30−10ish) and when we left we were the only people there. There was a DJ setting up so maybe they do get busy when the real nightlife hits around midnight… Prices are the same as Lackman, and I was sort of hoping that they would cater to more of their college crowd and offer cheaper priced cocktails on their menu, but still, can’t complain about $ 5.50 for well drinks. Their happy hour looks decent, ½ off of a lot of stuff and $ 15 bottles of wine. Since they are a chiller atmosphere, enjoying a bottle of wine there might be nice!

Word has yet reach the masses about St. Clair. It’s basically Lackmann… but you can actually sit down and hear yourself think. I desperately want this bar to succeed and yet selfishly enjoy the fact that we can always find a table and get a drink quickly. The interior is nearly an exact replica of 4EGs Lackman. The set up is the same long bar with a few scattered bar stools and tables. The decorations are sophisticated and yet inviting. St Clair has a lot going for it, but my favorite part has got to be the drink specials. During my last trip all draft beer was $ 3. That even included their Christmas Ales that were garnished with a rim of honey and cinnamon(soooo amazingly delicious). There seems to be some sort of drink special nearly every night. Another plus? Keystone is right next door. That’s right you can get mac and cheese AND a delicious beverage in one stop. They even share a bathroom so you can walk from one to the other without even going outside(which is nice in the winter). I truly do hope St. Clair does well. I just hope it keeps it’s chill vibe going. I love being able to relax there(and maybe even play a board game or two).

I love The St. Clair! It’s attached to Keystone so you can have a seamless nice of dinner and drinks. I have been here a few times, but last night was AMAZING because I tried this new drink they were offering: Rhinegeist Winter Ale served in a glass that was dipped in HONEY around the rim and then coated with I think nutmeg, maybe cinnamon? Either way, it was one of the best drinks I have every had and it was only $ 3!!! On Sundays every beer is only $ 3, which makes for a great Sunday Funday. The inside is kind of cozy and swanky at the same time. They have a great outside patio for when it’s nice outside as well.

I feel nervous for the St. Clair’s chances. Which is truly sad because it is one hell of a bar. This is basically Lackman 2: The Revenge of More Beer. It looks almost exactly like the classic beer bar in OtR, just happens to be located in Clifton. And here lies it’s issue. It’s in too much of a college neighborhood to attract the craft beer lovers and hipsters and it’s too nice a bar to attract the college kids. Hence why when we went in on a Sunday to watch the Bengals game, it was empty. And I don’t mean like, just a few people. I mean empty. No one but us. And here’s the real kicker. This bar probably has the best game day specials in Cincinnati. Every Sunday it’s only $ 3 for anything on tap. And they have amazing beers, like Bourbon Barrel Ale and a ton of local breweries. I drank all day for $ 9. Amazing. And they run specials like this all the time. It has all that Lackman charm too. Comfy seats, long benches, bathrooms with a giant shared sink outside, classy and a little funky all at the same time. Seriously Cincinnati, don’t let this bar die. It’s a giant winner. And if you need somewhere excellent to watch the game, head Clifton-way, my son.

Another great new bar from 4EG! The St. Clair is just what Clifton needed — a nice, swanky bar with budget friendly prices. They have several drink specials throughout the week, but my personal favorite is on Sunday. $ 3 drafts of ANY beer, and they have an awesome selection. Sunday Funday here I come!!! The space will remind you of Lackman or Righteous Room, which is a great thing. They even have a communal sink! Their front windows/wall open to the outside, creating a pleasant breeze. There is a cute little patio outside that is pet-friendly. Arlene(the cat) loves it there! One of the best things is that Keystone is right next door and will deliver. Each time we have done this it has been phenomenal, from the service to the food. And yes, Arlene enjoyed her mac and cheese. The St. Clair may just be the best Sunday Funday destination yet. I would know, my friends and I are quite the Sunday Funday experts :)

It seems that not many people know about The St. Clair. Yet. Any time we are in there we are the only ones. This surprises me because this place is phenomenal. In typical 4EG bar fashion the bar is long, with the bar on one side and bench seating on the other(think Righteous Room, The Lackman, etc) except that it combines the two styles perfectly. Stylish, swanky, cozy, modern, yet still rustic. The large front doors swing open combining the outdoor patio with the inside bar. Drinks are cheap. As expected they have to cater to the college crowd while still keeping their dignity by not serving only Bud Light. You’ll find good stuff here. 10 – 15 rotating taps and on Sundays $ 3 drafts all day! Come and get a snifter of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel for 3 bones! Like others have stated, Keystone delivers right next door in case you’ve had one too many beers, or even one too few crocks of Mac and Cheese. I don’t know if the college crowd has completely bought in to this place because of how it looks but I guarantee they would love it as much as the next person if they tried it out. A solid addition to the Clifton community and the U-Square development.

Great atmosphere and friendly people. Drinks are a little expensive, but they usually have a good special going. Long happy hour Monday-Saturday until 8pm! They always keep phone chargers behind the bar, which is very convenient. Overall a great place to hang out.

4EG does it again with St.Claire. The bar has a lively atmosphere and the interior design looks very upscale in contrast to other bars you will find in Clifton. I stopped by on a Thursday for happy hour. They have half price drafts and wells from 4 – 8 which is a awesome deal since the prices are reasonable to begin with. I had a Moerlein OTR, Southern Tier IPA, whiskey coke and a miller for $ 10. I don’t know any where else where I could get two craft drafts a well and a domestic for that price. I will definitely be back.

The other day we stopped in to check out 4eg’s latest enterprise, the St. Clair. I generally like 4eg bars, so I was excited to see what this one was all about. I was not disappointed. St. Clair kind of feels like the Lackman was transplanted into Clifton. The prices have been changed to reflect the college student demographic, but the style and quality beer selection have not. St. Clair is attached to Keystone, so you can get delicious gourmet Mac n cheese even after Keystone closes. There is a nice little patio out on university square, and I don’t think they mind if you have pets out there. I’ll be interested to see how busy this place is once fall semester comes around. I want this bar to do well, but I kind of like how relaxed it is with a few people just sitting around during the summer.

Stopped in for the first time to check out 4EG’s new concept in Clifton today and I was very impressed. It’s always nice to check out a brand new space, especially when you’ve got the expertise of a great company backing the whole thing up. The St. Clair will remind you of Lackmann or Righteous Room with it’s smaller size and posh décor. Taking it a step further with crafted cocktails complete with fresh squeezed juices helps SC stand out above other spots in the neighborhood. I’m pleased that it’s a short 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from home… Bank account beware! But with bucket specials and a sweet happy hour I’m really not too worried. The staff today were very friendly, and though it wasn’t yet busy for early happy hour, they weren’t over bearing either. Thank you Madeline & Lauren for being such gracious hosts to my solo experience at The St. Clair today, you won’t go wrong with these two holding down the fort. Good service, great drinks, good beer selection and did I mention great service?! Check it out!

Is it embarrassing that I came to this bar two times in one day? NO because this place is awesome! I’ll try to keep this short and sweet. This is a new bar just recently opened by the 4EG group. This place reeks of sophistication with a down home feel. Décor is modern with rustic touches, and the bathroom is top notch just like all of their other locations. Love the color pallet. The bright purple stools are gorg! Now for the Sunday Funday drink special you have all been waiting for: They have $ 3 draft pints NOMATTERWHATBEERYOUGET all day on Sundays. Yes, this is true. You can get a burbon barrel ale for $ 3, you can get a stella for $ 3 you can get anything on tap that your little heart desires for $ 3. This is my new favorite Sunday Funday deal. Extras: — They don’t have food, but inside is connected to Keystone so you can get food to go an bring it over! — Patio is awesome. They keep the doors open inside too so the natural light is great! — Service was the best we’ve had in a long long time. Both from Keystone next door and the bartender working yesterday 6⁄28 deserves a raise :) Cheers! We will be back!
