No thanks. Very disappointed. Service was not at all friendly. Prices are a bit high. The brisket was tough, the ribs lacked smoke flavour and both hardly had any sauce on them. The fries were ok, the baked beans were too sweet and had one little bit of bacon in them. The cornbread was good and as usual was of the sweet variety. Walt’s isn’t that far away and is a far better choice.

We had been passing this little place, in the white oak shopping center for months before we decided to try it. Big mistake, we should have come sooner! The food is fantastic, the service is fantastic and the staff are like dropping in on my southern family, you’re always welcome. The servings are huge! You won’t leave hungry but you might leave heavier. Anthony, the owner, won’t say what’s in his BBQ sauce, but man is it good. We’ve eaten most everything on the menu, and it’s all good We can highly recommend the pulled pork, brisket, brisket chili and lord almighty… the smoked fried chicken! Run, do not walk, to Woots, you won’t regret it. Oh, and did I mention, that if you don’t like what you ordered, they’ll get you something else to replace it. Free.

Me and my family went back for the second time this time with my oldest daughter. Anthony the owner and cook was once again a delight to be in his place of business were he greets you and does what ever he can to make sure your experience in his bbq restaurant is the best and one of kind. Now lets talk about the food he has to have the best smoked chicken no one else does this so you have to try it. All of his food is awesome this time i had the catfish just because he had it on the menu at a bbq place and was wonderful i was stuffed. Thank Anthony for another great experience we will continue to drive from the east side to the west side for you wonderful hospitality.

Best BBQ I have ever had hands down. I’m kind of a food snob, and the execution of the brisket and sauce at Woots is like nothing I’ve had in Cincy, or anywhere else for that matter, highly recommend!

Carnivores — our favorite local barbecue is Woot’s BBQ in White Oak Shopping Center. I have never cared for ribs, but I *really* like these — tender, juicy and not greasy. The pulled pork is the tastiest I’ve ever had, also not greasy. We brought Woot’s ribs to a friend who is a certified BBQ Judge(yes, there is such a thing), and he was extremely impressed. Enough to schedule a trip across town to experience Woot’s food first-hand. Ask Anthony, the owner/cook, how his BBQ is different, how he experimented to come up with something different from his native NCBBQ, but yet one that Cincinnatians would like that is still different from typical Cincy-area BBQ recipes. His other big experiment has been his smoked/quick deep-fried chicken — tender, juicy and flavorful! As for the brisket and sides, you’re on your own. We typically do carry-out meat and our own sides at home.

We were wanting to eat somewhere other than a chain restaurant and found Woots while looking around and were in no way disappointed! Our server, Cynthia, asked if we had been there before and our taste preferences before making some suggestions. We ended up getting a couple combo dinners in order to try a little of everything and it was a fantastic decision. If you want to eat real, smoked, bbq then this is the place to go!
We were headed out to join in on meat week. I totally missed out on a bunch of these even though I’ve experienced MOST of them in the past. Tonight was Butt Shack day, yes I know they are wonderful. I wanted to venture out and try something new. I saw a bunch of pictures from WOOT’S, a place on the west side on Cheviot Rd. OMG! The owner Anthony, came up with this idea of smoked fried chicken… I know right! AWESOME and unique. The chicken had a crunchy skin and was so juicy. I didn’t even need sauce. They do have good BBQ too. The Mac and cheese is so homemade, I couldn’t get enough. The owner and the staff there are the kindest most friendly people I’ve ever met in a business. It’s pretty much like having dinner with family. The whole dining room was having a discussion during dinner. Likes, dislikes, suggestions it was all there. His business is family owned. He’s one of nine children from North Carolina. The place is so homey. My family really had a great experience. We even smelled like smoke all night. The collard greens happen to be a bigger hit than he ever thought. He also makes a brisket chili. That’s really meaty with beans. He once sold five gallons in the summer during taste of Colerain. He is creative and willing to try new things. We will definitely be visiting again. I mean where else can you get smoked fried chicken and brisket chili.

I was really hoping for good food here; the Westside could use a good BBQ joint. I ordered the beef brisket with sides of cole slaw and mac and cheese. My husband ordered the ribs with the same sides. Both came with a cornbread muffin. My brisket was dry and barely touched by BBQ sauce. The cole slaw was pretty basic, but too watery for my taste. My mac and cheese was congealed together and hard as a rock on top. The cornbread muffin was pretty great, though, and I ate both my and my husband’s. His ribs were tough and very chewy. He could barely get the meat off the bones, and ended up not finishing. He enjoyed his mac and cheese and appreciated that it was baked instead of made on the stovetop. I’m not sure what happened with our orders, but they were take out. Everything tasted like it had been sitting out too long. I’d like to give them another try, but do sit-down instead. I do want to call out the service aspect. I believe I was speaking with the owner, and he was very personable. He had us laughing and we actually enjoyed the wait for our food. Everything was packaged with care, and he made it a point to discuss the menu with us when we couldn’t decide what we wanted. I will be back, probably to try the chicken next time, but I’m not sure my husband is convinced.

Stopped here with my wife while the kids were at a birthday party. We love Bar-B-Que and trying new restaurants. Stopped at Woot’s after reading several good reviews on Unilocal. This place is great. It is spotless. The dining room and tables were clean and ready. It was December and they had holiday décor in the restaurant. There was music playing lightly in the background and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. The aroma of the meat smoking is heavenly. The restrooms were some of the cleanest I have ever seen. Two other parties were in the restaurant when we arrived, and several carry-out orders were filled while we were there. The server was very friendly and welcoming. He answered several questions about the menu and brought our drinks almost immediately. My wife and I debated about entres and finally settled on the Smoked, Fried Bar-B-Que chicken for her and a half –slab of St. Louis Smoked ribs for me. The chicken was tender and very juicy. The flavor was amazing. The ribs were full of flavor, tender and very meaty. I can usually finish a half-slab with room to spare, but these had so much meat, I was full with 3 ribs leftover. I had sweet potatoes and cole slaw. My wife had the Smoked mac and cheese and cole slaw. Cole slaw was excellent, much better than I expected. Very fresh and creamy with a great balance of tangy and sweet. The sweet potatoes were a little too sweet for my taste, but the flavor was good. I ordered the collard greens after tasting the rest of the food(you can’t just order collards anywhere). They were cooked from fresh greens and were expertly seasoned. The best collard greens I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Talked to the owner(our server, as it turned out). He is a man who is passionate about great food and making people feel welcome. Made us feel special on a Saturday lunch date — How often does that happen? We’ll definitely make the 1 hour plus trip to eat at Woot’s again.

I have been to Woots many times and have always loved what I ordered. My favorites are the brisket chili, pulled pork and the mac & cheese. Clean restaurant, friendly staff and wonderful food. That’s Woots

If Burger King is the«Home of the Whopper» and Subway the home of the $ 5 footlong then Woots Barbecue needs to be the home of the smoked fried chicken. This chicken is brined in saltwater for 24 hours and then smoked on a low heat. Next it’s given a quick bath in 400° oil before being slathered with barbecue sauce and served to you piping hot. The result is an incredibly succulent and juicy half chicken that will leave you wanting more. Pair it with the«smoky» mac and cheese for a wonderful meal

Classic hole in the wall BBQ stop. If you’re in the area with a craving for smoked meats, I’d highly recommend. Solid spicy BBQ sauce and Mac&Cheese also worth checking out.

My son and I ordered carry-out on Wednesday… The staff was very nice, the owner even came out and greeted us. The food was ready within minutes of our arrival so everything was HOT. My son ordered the fried wings, and I had the smoked chicken. We shared our sides which included(2) mac and cheese, greens, and yams. Once again, the mac and cheese was amazing, the greens were flavorful, and the yams were okay. My son really liked the fried wings. My chicken had a nice smoked flavor, but the meat was tough. The sauce was good, but I wanted a little more. I’m still loving this place. We’ll be back but next time we’ll visit on a Friday or Saturday so we can get some rib tips.

Woots is clean, bright, nicely decorated, and the service is quick and friendly. In order to give a lot of things a try, I chose the 3-meat combo dinner with pulled pork, brisket, and chicken(carryout). I received a four-ounce serving of each meat, plus small go-cups of mac and cheese, slaw, and a small cornbread muffin. At $ 19, I don’t feel it was a particularly good value. The smoke flavor is fairly understated on everything, which is fine with me, but might not be everyone’s cup of tea. The brisket was very tough and the small chicken leg was overcooked to the point of being dried out. The slaw was fine; the mac and cheese was the high point of the meal, possibly the best I can remember having at a barbecue joint. I got the mild sauce, which was good although nothing I would rave about. All in all, I probably won’t return even though the location is convenient. Would prefer to make the moderate drive to Big Art’s or the long drive to Eli’s.

Definitely a fan of the BBQ to be found here. While I have been spoiled living in SC, AL, GA for 12 years I still think this is really good BBQ. The flavor is on point and the price is right. I may have more exploring to do, but in what seems like an area that is under served for good BBQ, Woots delivers on variety, taste and is economical.

Perfect! We stumbled onto this strip mall on our way through the area and could not have made a better choice for dinner. First, the entire place is spotless. The kitchen is visible when you come in the door and the dining room is a brand new addition. The bathrooms were sparkling. Second, everyone was so friendly! The owners came out and talked to us. Even the other customers made side recommendations! Third, the food was amazing. I ordered the brisket and my wife ordered the ribs. The menu is simple, but the bbq was delicious and tender. The sides(we had Mac and cheese, yams, and baked beans) were hot and fresh. The best brisket I’ve ever had. I ended up ordering a pound more of the brisket to take with us! My wife swears the ribs could win awards. We were very happy with our choice and so glad we stumbled on this gem.

Woots-there it is! As a fan of good bbq who has been going low and slow on the Big Green Egg for years, I have searched for true southern BBQ in Cincinnati. A few months ago, I stumbled across Woots and it has not become the go to place for authentic Carolina BBQ in Cincinnati. The owner, Anthony knows his way around a pig, chicken and cow, but especially a smoker. The pulled pork has the perfect mix of smoke and pork goodness, and the chicken and brisket are also delightfully smoky. The sides don’t disappoint, either… from collared greens, cornbread to slaw, to baked beans, all are home cooked and do not taste like the food you can get at a chain. The sauces are also homemade and the Carolina vinegar sauce is a must try. So the food is excellent… but the real plus is the atmosphere and the service. Anthony and Cynthia genuinely enjoy their clients and will check on you to make sure all is in order. And if you’re lucky, Anthony may even allow you to taste the brisket chili he is working on perfecting… and which will hopefully make it to the menu soon. So given an independent small restaurant a try… you won’t be disappointed! The best southern BBQ in all of Cincinnati.

A wonderfully quant BBQ place found on the west side of Cincinnati. The owner gets his inspiration for BBQ from North Carolina but don’t worry that doesn’t mean the sauces are all vinegar based. There is a delicious tomato based BBQ he serves as well I would have to say the chicken was the best part of the meal, along side the cornbread. The pulled pork was a bit smoky and did require some sauce to counter act the smoky but if you know BBQ then you know that smoky happens. I would love to go back. The owner and all you work there are splendid and the food is great for not to big a cost.
