Wow what a revolutionary idea! We can make any pizza combination and pick out toppings as we please and take it home and bake it!!! If I wanted to order a pizza I don’t want to have to bake it myself that’s all sorts of odd.

Hey, do you have extra toilet paper laying around you need to use up? Toilet feeling neglected? Do you enjoy extra pooping? Then this is the place for you! Ordered a big olé Hawaiian pizza last night for me and a friend and shortly we experienced Mr Pizza with its pineapple and Canadian bacon trying like hell to exit our colons in the most expedient way possible. Alas, both of us still have the poo runs today. Called them up and told them, and can you believe this? She didn’t believe me :(…which means I suppose that they’re still using that nasty E coli– or Salmonella-ridden C-bacon and pineapple. Gross. Bless her heart, the lady — third person I had to loudly repeat my poo story too, seeing as the first person perhaps didn’t give a poop, and the second person couldn’t understand English — informed me they’d sold 200 of them suckers yesterday and not one person had the Dire Straits. Le Sigh… oh well, I know I and my friend won’t be going there again anytime soon, so unless you enjoy the La Poo Runs, I hope you don’t either.

We had ordered a thin crust family sized chicken artichoke delight, a pizza we order all the time from the orangevale or gold river location. When we cooked the pizza according to the instructions the crust came out soggy and transparent from grease! So we called back and re-ordered another one hoping it was just a bad pizza. The EXACT same thing happened! So we tried to get a refund for a completely un-edible pizza and we were told that they won’t do that, but they would make us another pizza. No thanks, I don’t need another gross pizza. I had to go somewhere else last minute to feed my family that night as we were all starving Staff was marginal. Go to Orangevale or Gold River for a good pizza

i get my pizzas either here or at the orangevale location. The pizza is better at the orangevale location and the staff is much better. The citrus heights location’s staff leaves something to be desired. Yesterday I called in 2 pizzas at 4:35 and was told it would be 20 – 30 minutes. I showed up 40 minutes later, had to wait in line a long time only to be told they hadn’t even started on my pizzas yet & it would be at least another 30 minutes. As I was responsible for bringing the pizzas to someone’s house and had to be there by 5:30, I couldn’t wait. so i showed up without any food — embarrassing! Esp as this was for children prior to trick or treating on halloween. I won’t go back to this location — the person at the cash register looked and acted very uncaring that they were so backed up on orders — i also noticed they were STILL telling people it would be 20 – 30 minutes. They were lying — and i won’t do business with liars. they were way understaffed — go to the orangevale location — they staff adequately!

This has got to be the WORST Papa Murphy’s site EVER!!! I even went onto the Papa Murphy Corp Web Site to comment about the facility and VERY poor service. We usually stop up on the hill in Cameron Park(Great Location) We ordered the medium Cowboy pizza, the young man behind the counter rang me up for 18.00, when I said the pizza should be 10.00 he told the manager — I charged to this customer to much, how do I fix it… she laughed and said sell them more stuff, we don’t refund. We ended up getting some bread sticks and cookie dough just to get out of there. I would highly recommend everyone avoid this location.

I’ve been ordering pizza from this franchise for a long time now and not once have I ever had to write a bad review them. The pizza I ordered was correct so that wasn’t an issue. My issue was their customer service. As someone who works in customer service, if I treated some of my clients the way I was treated when I called in my order, I wouldn’t have a job anymore. When I called, the lady who answered wasn’t even professional. She said, «Hello? Oh my bad. Papa Murphy’s on greenback and San Juan how can help you?» Then I tell her I’d like to place an order. She says, «Um, yeah, ok I guess that’s ok.» Then I tell her the first pizza I would like. On the second pizza she says she can’t hear me. So I speak up. Then she asks for the name. I tell her my husbands name because he picked it up. Then she says ok it’ll be ready in about 20 minutes. I proceed to tell her that my husband wouldn’t even be there for an hour(you know, just to give them a heads up) she I couldn’t even make it through my sentence because the lady had hung up on me. She didn’t ask for a phone number like they normally do, either. I almost called back and cancelled my order. Save your time and money… go somewhere else.

It’s Friday and raining so Papa Murphy’s it is. They have the best cheesy bread hands down but get the white sauce it’s like a garlic sauce not really ranch. The red sauce is way too sweet for me(I took the star off for that). We usually get the gourmet vegetarian. Super yummy. I’ve found the quality of taste is across the board for the stores so that’s a plus. It’s take and bake and hopefully you don’t burn it. I have its not fun.

One of our go to places! Chicken bacon artichoke pizza with thick crust is the best ever! No really we have had others and this CBA is the best! They always have coupons and I can call when I leave my place and it’s ready when I get there. The employees are nice. We could eat here everyday haha

I usually leave very lengthly reviews to help other people decide if they should spend their hard earned money on a business or not. This one will be rather short for me. I grew up in orangevale, but have been living in citrus heights for 4 years. Living in orangevale my family and I would always get papa murphys friday nights at the orangevale location. Always excellent pizza, fresh ingredients and so many toppings it requires utensils at times to eat there pizza.(Depending on what you order… example Chicago style or gourmet veggie) This location should NOT be in business, it does not live up to the papa murphy name! It is a disgrace to the franchise! Customer service sucks! There is none! Toppings compared to other location is 50% or less, and way too much crust. Papa murphys extends there toppings to the edge of there pizza, this location leaves about a good inch or more of dough around the edges then puts few toppings in the center. Old dough, ingredients and god knows what else is old! If you dare bring a coupon be prepared to get a disgusted look from the employee’s. Don’t waste your time or money at this location and drive a little bit further to the orangevale location. It’s truly worth your time, money and gas. I write this review now, after giving papa murphys one last chance last night at the orangevale location. I then remembered why I used to frequent them so often great pizza and great prices. I feel so bad that I strayed from papa murphys for so long because I let this location tarnish the papa murphys name! If you truly want to know good papa murphys pizza read my review for the orangevale location and visit them for yourself! Okay so this review ended up being long, but once I started writting I couldn’t stop! I had to spread the word.

Called in a pizza on a Friday night and was told it would be ready in 20 – 25 minutes. Showed up 45 minutes later and they hadn’t even started it yet. I get that this is a Friday night, but the guy at the register was then quoting that walk in orders would be ready in 5 minutes. There was only 2 people working in the whole place. Call me crazy, but waiting almost an hour for a raw pizza that still needs to be cooked is ridiculous. It did taste great though-gourmet veggie with chicken! Yum! Just won’t be using this location again.

Obviously the pizza is good. However, we ordered two of the new delight thin crust pizzas, but we received them on regular crust. I prefer the thin crust. We’ve been ordering pizza from Papa Murphy’s for, oh, 20 years now and never had to specify the crust options(unless we wanted a certain type of crust). It’s always been a default thing when you order their seasonal delight thin crust. It’s still tasty, but not what I ordered or wanted. Also, when we walked in, no one bothered to greet us or ask how they could help us. We placed the order by phone 10 minutes prior, they told us 20 minutes. We ASSumed it wasn’t made yet, so we sat there for 5 minutes before finally asking. The pizzas were already made. Yes, dumb on our part, but they just looked at us like we wanted to sit in their establishment for no reason! Lol I’ll be looking for a better location, even if I have to go out of my way.

This location did not provide the upbeat, quick service I have become accustom to at papa Murphy’s. I think it mostly had to do with the lack of staff. Not entirely sure. There was one person ringing up and another in the back. They messed up the order before ours and then just took their time on both correcting theirs and getting to ours. Just seemed to have no place to be, if you know what I mean. The pizza was fine, seemed consistent as far as quality, but the location was more run down looking and the service was just slow. We went here cause it was on our way home, but I’m happy it’s not the one I usually go to. I like the location on Douglas better. But in the end it’s fairly the same in terms of what you get, maybe call ahead to avoid a long wait.

Worst Papa Murphy’s place I have ever been to. I came here on a Sunday and the place was completely empty and non-inviting. As a past employee of Papa Murphy’s, I know a thing or two about what a pizza should look and taste like. I ordered my all time fav chicken bacon artichoke and it tasted nothing like the thin crust pizza that I’ve always had. The pizza was assembled very messy, and as a result it was very soggy due to the lack of measuring ingredients properly. Won’t be returning for round 2.

Good prompt polite service, $ 10.25 out the door for a large delite pizza, perfect for dinner with my wife and then lunch tomorrow, good quality ingredients and the place was very clean

Usually go to the Papas in Gold River. Super clean place and always comfortable going in there. I was at Lowes down the street and did’nt want to go toward the freeway so I found this one. The people were really nice, but when I walked in it was literally 15 degrees hotter inside than out(and it’s 98 today…). Its super dark and muggy, nothing appeared to be cold. I asked for thick crust and he proceeded to take a second regular crust and smash it into the first, then began to try and adhere the two? You can see into the back and all I could focus on was the stacked washer and dryer and the heap of dirty rags pouring off the side. I dunno, I’ll still cook the pizza and enjoy… but with a feeling I might get a stomach ache later. Still love Papa Murphy’s, good prices and usually good quality pizza.

I came here tonight to get a pie for the Kings game. I ordered a large pepp & olive pizza and a large stuffed pizza. The staff was friendly and had my pizzas ready in no time. I love that they give you directions and that they have to remind you to take off the plastic. Lol. The pizzas were very good and I was amazed at how well fhe dough proofed and cooked. The crust was flaky and delicious. Thank you Papa

My wife and I experienced the following, we went in and noticed that they dont fully wash there hands and when we approached papa murphys Corporate office this was the response we got back Lolacola Papa murphy’s crews wash their hands 50 – 60 times a day. Not to mention they sell between 150 – 250 pizzas a day. This is the first time we have heard a complaint of this nature. The pizzas cook at 425 degrees farenheit which is enough temperature to kill any bacteria you might be concerned about. Once in a while a staff member might forget to change their gloves but mistakes happen and 99 percent of the time they don’t happen. Lets focus on things more important like world peace and the dismantling of nuclear weapons.

This is the worst Papa Murphys ive ever been to! I ended up here one Sunday night, when my usual Papa Murphys was already closed. This was the closest one to me that was still open. I figured it couldnt be any different. WRONG! My pizza tasted like crap. I got the gourmet chicken garlic that night and it was something with the garlic sauce, but i ate one piece and didnt want to eat any more. This place sucks. Stay Away!

This Papa Murphy’s has changed hands a few time over the years. We really like to current owners. Really nice family who make great pizza. Honestly, I am not a big pizza fan. Their pizza is really good, and I like that we bake it at home. It doesn’t seem as greasy as the other joints and I feel like I am getting the freshest ingredients. Quick, friendly service. Much better that the Papa Murphy’s on Manzanita.
